Abstract

This research aims to increase students' active learning in the subject of History through the implementation of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning using crossword puzzles in class X-12 at SMA Negeri 3 Medan. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a target of 36 students. The indicators used in this research are the teacher's ability to use and apply research media and methods, as well as the results after implementing learning using crossword puzzles. Meanwhile, the techniques used for data collection are observation techniques based on observations, questionnaires and documentation techniques. The results of this research show that in cycle 1, students' learning interest and activeness tend to be low/low due to conventional learning strategies, where students' learning interest shows a percentage of 69.72%. Meanwhile, in cycle 2, students' interest in learning history increased to 81.38%. In this case, students' interest in learning history lessons increased by 11.66%. The application of Crossword Puzzle media in History learning through the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) model can provide good stimulation and stimulus to increase students' learning activity such as listening activity, writing activity, movement activity and emotional activity. The formation of groups or teams in this game encourages activeness to be able to work together quickly because they have to compete with other groups.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to improve or improve history learning practices that have previously been carried out in the classroom through the application of the STAD (Student Team Achievement Division) type cooperative learning model to improve history learning outcomes. The subjects of this research were students in class X-5 at SMA Negeri 3 Medan with a total of 36 students. The indicators examined in this research are students' history learning outcomes. Based on the pre-cycle results, it is known that student learning completion reached 47.2% with 17 students completing the study with an average score of 61.94. After using the STAD cooperative learning model in cycle I, student learning completion reached 72.2% with 26 students completing and the average student score was 72.36. Based on the research results, it is known that student learning mastery has increased, but has not yet met the research success indicator, namely 75%, therefore a cycle II is needed. The results of research in cycle II showed that the class average reached 85.13 and the completion rate reached 83.3% with 30 students completing. The results of the second cycle of research have met the research success indicators, namely the score obtained is more than ? 80 with a learning completeness level reaching ? 75%. So it can be concluded that learning history using the Cooperative Learning STAD technique learning model can improve student history learning outcomes in class X-5 SMA Negeri 3 Medan.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach is implemented as a strategy to improve learning outcomes. TaRL adapts learning to students' level of understanding and encourages problem-based learning. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted at SMAN 14 Medan by applying TaRL. The research method used the Kemmis & McTaggart cycle model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research population was students of SMAN 14 Medan, with a sample of grade X-4 students. In cycle I, although there was an increase, the learning outcomes were still not complete. However, in cycle II, there was a significant improvement with 83.33% of students reaching the minimum completion criteria. These results show that the TaRL approach can improve students' understanding of historical material. In addition, the utilization of technology also helps in increasing student participation and expanding the learning resources that students can access. These findings can help education practitioners develop more effective learning strategies that suit students' needs in understanding historical materials.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school principals in enhancing school quality management at MI Darul Hikam in Batu City. The research method employed is qualitative with a case study approach. Data are collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentary studies. Research respondents include school principals, teachers, staff, and parents of students. Data analysis is conducted using descriptive and qualitative analysis techniques. The results show that the role of the school principal is highly significant in enhancing school quality management. The school principal serves as a visionary leader, facilitator, motivator, and key driver in implementing various school quality improvement programs. Good support and communication from the school principal strengthen coordination among staff and teachers in achieving common goals. Furthermore, the school principal also plays a role in motivating teachers and staff to innovate and improve their performance.

Abstract

This research aims to increase cultural awareness in class X 1 students at SMA Negeri 1 Medan through a culturally responsive teaching approach to history learning material. This research uses Classroom Action Research (PTK) with several stages including: planning, action or implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were 23 class X 1 students at SMA Negeri 1 Medan using quantitative data analysis. The research results showed that cycle I provided an explanation of local history material to students. In applying local history material, students ask questions about the material so that it fosters students' curiosity. Cycle II provides exposure to local historical material as well as carrying out vlog assignments to visit historical buildings to increase cultural awareness. From the results obtained, 43.5% of students gave their cultural awareness a slight increase while 56.5% of students gave the answer that their cultural awareness increased slightly.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ialah : (1) Mengetahui tingkat pemahaman belajar peserta didik dalam menguasai materi pembelajaran kerajaan islam, (2) Mengetahui peningkatan keaktifan belajar siswa dalam materi pembelajaran kerajaan Islam di SMA Negeri 3 Medan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan metode think-pair-share. Metode penelitian merupakan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas atau dapat disebut juga dengan Classroom Action Reserch. Pengumpulan subjek pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling di kelas X. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus tindakan. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi, dokumentasi dan catatan lapangan. Sedangkan instrumen menggunakan lembar observasi keaktifan belajar peserta didik. Dan Analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Tingkat keaktifan belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran kerajaan Islam pada pra tindakan 31% dengan kategori rendah, meningkat pada siklus I dengan menggunakan metode think-pair-share 62% dengan kategori sedang, dan pada siklus II meningkat dengan metode think-pair- share sebesar 81% dengan kategori tinggi. (2) Keaktifan belajar siswa sebelum penerapan metode think-pair-share sebesar 31% meningkat pada siklus I dengan penerapan metode think-pair-share sebesar 31% menjadi 62%, pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan kembali sebesar 19% dimana keaktifan siswa pada siklus II menjadi 81%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pendekatan Kooperatif STAD dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SD Negeri 08 Kecamatan Pangkatan, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu, Sumatera Utara, sebanyak 24 siswa yang terdiri dari 18 siswa laki-laki dan 6 siswa perempuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus yang terdiri dari siklus I dan siklus II dengan masing-masing dua pertemuan. Pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar siswa pada setiap akhir siklus, lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Pada hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menemukan bahwa implementasi pendekatan Kooperatif STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 08 Kecamatan Pangkatan Kabupaten Labuhanbatu Provinsi Sumatera Utara, yang tercermin dalam beberapa aspek yaitu aspek kognitif, psikomotorik dan afektif yang menjadi acuan penilaian hasil belajar siswa. Ketiga aspek tersebut akan diakumulatifkan sehingga menjadi rata-rata keseluruhan hasil belajar siswa. Pada penelitian ini, terlihat siswa mengalami peningkatan pada hasil belajarnya yaitu pada siklus I dan siklus II. Pada siklus I, nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa mencapai KKM dan masuk dalam kategori cukup yaitu 76,67. Pada siklus II, niai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan, melebihi standart pencapaian KKM dan masuk dalam kategori memuaskan yaitu 86,67. Pada siklus I dan siklus II terjadi perbandingan peningkatan hasil belajar siswa yang terlihat sangat baik. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi pendekatan Kooperatif STAD dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN 08 Pangkatan pada mata pelajaran IPA terkhusus topik pelajaran sifat-sifat cahaya.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of using the examples non-examples method based on the Canva application on the ability to write short story texts in class IX students at SMP 37 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research is quantitative research with an experimental method and the research design is a two group posttest design. The population in this study was all class IX students with a total of 240 people and the samples in the research were class 9.A with a total of 30 people and 9.B with a total of 30 students determined using the Cluster Sampling technique. The data analysis technique used is the normality test using the F test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test. After conducting research, namely a posttest using the examples non-examples method based on the Canva application, the average score for the control class posttest was 52.03 and the posttest was 76.06. The results of hypothesis testing in this study were carried out by the "t" test at a significant level of ?= 0.05 and obtained tcount > ttable (7.2948 > 1.67155) thus that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted and the results of the pretest and posttest prerequisite tests were normally distributed. and homogeneous. So it can be concluded that the effect of using the examples non-examples method based on the Canva application on the ability to write short story texts in class IX students at SMP 37 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Abstract

This research aims to increase students' interest in learning using the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model in class X9 students at SMAN 3 Medan for the 2023/2024 academic year. The learning interest referred to in this research is measuring students' active participation both physically and mentally. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK), where the teacher is the implementer of the learning while the researcher is the observer. This research design uses the Kemmis and Mc model. Taggart. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, namely in March. The research subjects were class X9 students at SMAN 3 Medan, consisting of 36 students. The object of research is students' learning interest. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The research results showed an increase in students' learning activeness, namely in cycle I it was 71.64% (good category), then in cycle II it increased to 83.42% (very good category). This means an increase of 11.78%. Thus, the use of the Teams Games Tournament type cooperative learning model in the Indonesian History subject can increase the learning interest of class X9 students at SMAN 3 Medan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the implementation of the ANBK exam will affect SDN 01 Benteng Hulu from 2021 to 2023. More than that, this study also explains how the school integrates learning ANBK questions that are literacy and numeracy through learning materials in the classroom environment and conducting simulations before the implementation of the ANBK exam. The method in this study is a quantitative method by observing and collecting school archive data related to the ANBK exam and conducting direct interviews with the school. The implementation of the ANBK exam, which has been running since 2021, 2022, and 2023, shows that the implementation of the ANBK exam at SDN 01 Benteng Hulu runs smoothly, which can be seen in the readiness of students when carrying out the ANBK exam. In its application, the ANBK exam uses a computer and laptop for each student and carries out the exam by dividing the time into two shifts, namely the morning and afternoon shifts filled by 15 students per exam.
