In this study, descriptive quantitative tools were used, while data was obtained through surveys in the form of interviews and documentation of various information obtained from agencies (spelling) managing regional finances and district BPS, while analysis tools were Microsoft Office Excel and SPSS 23. an illustration that Local Original Income has a positive effect, meaning that with an increase in PAD, regional financial independence has also increased, for funding assistance (balance funds) does not have an effect on regional financial independence, this occurs because the large amount of balance funds means that a lot of dependence on funding assistance from the outside. As a recommendation, the regional government will further increase the revenue of PAD (Regional Original Revenue) through intensification of regional revenue sources such as taxes, levies and other revenues, so that financial independence can be achieved. This paper aims to understand the effect of the different tax regimes to firm debt financing policy. We analyze the effects of different tax regimes using the cross section regression method. The dependent variable is Debt to Equity Ratio, the independent variable is proxied by a dummy variable with the classical tax regime are defined as 1 and the integrated tax regime are defined as 0, and firms’ characteristics, as a control variable: Net Property Plan and Equipment to Total Asset Ratio, One Year Sales Growth, Price to Book Value Ratio, and Earnings before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization to Total Asset Ratio. Since the classical tax regime has higher tax rates relative to the integrated tax regime, firm operating in the classical tax regime able to experience the same debt tax saving using lower debt financing relative to firm operating in the integrated tax regime. Abstract

Daerah Istimewa (the special province of) Yogyakarta or usually abbreviated as DIY is the second biggest tourism destination in Indonesia, after Bali. DIY has more than 100 recreation sites. One of the famous recreation sites in DIY is Vulcanotour (VT) located in the area of Merapi Vulcano. This paper employed the individual travel cost method ITCM) to estimate the economic value of VT. We used OLS, Non-linear Normal/NLS, Poisson, and Negative Binomial methods to estimate the regression. This study used primary data from the management of VT and 60 visitors in the period of April to May 2013. The study found that the number of visits to VT was significantly affected by the number of trips to Yogyakarta City (the capital city of DIY). The economic value per visit of VT were ranged from USD 33.1 to USD 153.4. The study also concluded that the number of trips to VT is significantly influenced by the Yogyakarta city as a destination. In other words, the VT cannot be separated from other recreation destinations in DIY.Keywords: Natural recreation area; Individual Travel Cost Method (ITCM); Merapi Vulcano; Vulcanotour; Yogyakarta

Abstract

Weekend effect is a form of inefficiency that makes stock returns are not random (predictable) and repetitive which is against the efficient market theory by Fama (1991). This study aims to encourage stock investor knowledge about these anomalies, and act more measurably, so that a more efficient market can be achieved. This study uses a regression method that is looking for a significant value between days against the daily return index with the aim of finding a trading pattern on a particular day, especially on Monday and Friday. As a result, the weekend effect occurs during the post-crisis impact on the real sector, in other words affect the performance of the company's stock returns as a whole so that the global financial crisis that is post-crisis 2007-2008 has a negative statement on the weekend effect. Keywords: weekend effect; post crisis; return; efficient market; anomaly market

Abstract

Property crime is a crime with economic motives. Research on crime from an economic perspective is needed in Indonesia because of the limited study of crime behavior associated with socio-economic conditions, even though the number of crimes related to the region can be related to social, economic, and spatial factors. Socio-economic factors such as income and unemployment can be used to explain differences in crime amounts. Crime is analyzed with spatial aspects because crime events in one region can be associated with crime events in other areas that intersect. The purpose of this study is to verify the spatial dependence in cases of property crime in the West Java Regional Police. The West Java Regional Police are among the three regional police with the highest property crime in Indonesia. Socio-economic factors such as income and unemployment have a positive correlation with the number of property crime in the West Java Regional Police. Through spatial analysis using the global Moran index, the results of this study found that the number of property crime cases in Jawa Barat Regional Police did not have spatial autocorrelation. Through LISA, the results of research in the period 2013-2015, indicate a significant increase in the area each year. In 20 regencies/cities in Jawa Barat Regional Police, only five regencies have significant spatial correlations with their neighbors, namely Majalengka Regency, Tasikmalaya Regency, Kuningan Regency, Sukabumi Regency, and Purwakarta Regency.
