Abstract

This study  aims to understand the local wisdom and the feasibility of the area as an ecological tourism object has been carried out from February to March 2018. The method used in this study is the survey method. Water quality data collection was carried out four times (once/two weeks), while questionnaires were distributed prior to environmental data collection. Water samples were taken from three stations, while local wisdom data were collected through questionnaires. Results shown that the community used to maintain the Jorong Ikan Banyak ecosystem by applying regulations for fish capture. Water quality parameter values of the Lubuk Larangan are as follows : temperature was 22.5-230c; water depth was 71.75-120.25 cm; current speed  was 0.25-0.42 m/s; dissolved oxygen was 4.6-4.8 mg/l and pH was 6. The tourism potential element scores of the Lubuk Larangan were as follows:  Attractiveness 1,095; Accessibility 537.5; Accommodations 45 and Facilities 240, total score  1,917.5. This score indicates that the Lubuk Larangan Jorong Ikan Banyak  is suitable for tourism object.

Abstract

The aimed of this research was to investigate the best fish meal for triger thematuration of male Trichogaster pectoralis Regan. Male fishes were reared infloating cages (1m x 1m x 1m) that were placed in fish ponds, 8 females and 8males/ cage, 3 repititions. The fish were reared for 56 days and were feed ondifferent types of meal, P1 ( Tubifex sp), P2 (shrimp) and P3 (Vit E + shrinp).Parameters measured were maturity level, semen volume, spermatozoaconcentration, spermatozoa viability and spermatozoa motility. The best resultwas achieved at P3 (shrinp + vit E) as 16 fishes achieved 4th maturity level, semenvolume was 0,214 ml, spermatozoa concentration was 19,543 x 10 9 sel/ml,spermatozoa viability was 83,455 % and spermatozoa motility was 79,750 %.Keywords :Trichogaster pectoralis,semen volume,spermatozoa cooncentration, spermatozoa viability and spermatozoa motility

Abstract

This research aims to know KJA effort feasibility and development potency atPLTA Koto Panjang. Result of this research showed if KJA'S effort with 10reasonable bags to be developed by investments as big as Rp 118.625.000,- withonce time harvests as big as Rp 24.524.000,in a year is done crop thrice.Development potency KJA stills outspread base environmental advocate energywith level harnessed new accumulating basin 5,1% by total KJA now 1.000 bag.about problem on a long term is accessibility stock down that until now still iswreaked from pasaman sumatra smolders and be made its accumulatings basinspatial manner for developmental KJA and another activity.

Abstract

The research was conducted from March to May 2009, in the Laboratory ofAquaculture Technology of Fisheries and Marine Science Faculty, RiauUniversity. The aim of research was to investigate frequency of fish mealdistribution on growth and survival rate of Ompok hypophthalmus.In this research, 3 treatments with 4 replications was applied. Fish used inthis research were 4 to 4,5 cm in length. Stocking density of fish was 15fish/aquaria. Fish meal frequency applied was 3, 4 and 5 times/day. Fish diet usedin the research was commersial pellet with given doses of 10 % from fish bodyweight. Based on Anova analysis, results showed that the fish meal distribution of5 times/day gave the best result on growth of 13,42 g, fish diet efficiency 35,90 %and survival rate of 100 %.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to find out the influence of enzymepyloric caeca and fementation duration to quality bekasem bilih fish. Qualityparameters measured were using preferred test, pH, acid number, protein, water,and NPN. Results of the research hopely could be used as a business an alternativefor farmers to produce bekasem bilih fish. Bekasem fermentation product is afresh water fish that taste sour.Research method used was the method of experimental design, wasComplete Random Design (RAL), with two factors, namely the three levels Afactors without pyloric caeca enzim, pyloric caeca 25% (E25), and the addition ofenzyme pyloric caeca concentration of 50% (E50). B factors three levelsfermentation duration: 5 (T5), 10 (T25), and 15days (T15).Results of research on the level of consumer acceptance bekasem bilih fish(Mystacoleucus padangensis) treatment with the addition of enzyme extractpyloric caeca generally preferred by consumers. During the fermentation pH valueand protein tend to decline, as well as water content, NPN, and acid number.Instead tend to decline protein content tend to increase during fermentation. pHvalues ranging from 4.0 to 5.0, the water concentration 32.20% - 33.85% , NPN16%- 1.29%, and acid number 36.99% - 55.22%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of sustainability of mangrove ecosystems in Sungai Bela Village. The method used in this study is a survey method with data analysis using the Multi Dimensional Scaling (MDS). The results showed that the index value of the sustainability of mangrove ecosystems showed an ecological dimension(61.42) with RMS (2.28), social, economic and cultural dimensions (50.91) with RMS (2.51), legal and institutional dimensions (61.91) with RMS (1.79).Several factors that affect the sustainability of mangrove ecosystems such as:(1) mangrove species diversity;(2) density of mangrove ecosystems;(3) content of sediment organic matter;(4) marketing of fishery products;(5) mangrove dependence on livelihoods;(6) level of community knowledge;(7) the role of community leaders;(8) level of community compliance and (9) community participation.It can be concluded that the mangrove ecosystem in Sungai Bela Village with a sufficiently continuous status.

Abstract

Aimed this study was assess the level of pollution Rokan estuary using macrozoobenthos as bio-indicators, assess the level of pollution of water quality in Rokan estuary and examines the relationship between macrozoobenthos of water quality in Rokan estuary. This study was conducted in September 2014 in Rokan estuary. Location of sampling consisted of four stations namely ST 1 in the village of Pekaitan, ST 2  between the village of Pekaitan and the village of Sungai Panji - Panji, ST 3 in the village of Sungai Panji - Panji and ST 4 in the village of West Bagan. Samplings were conducted three times, once per week at high tide and low tide. This research used survey method and data analysis using BBI and AMOEBA method. The results of this study indicate that the pollution level of Rokan estuary by macrozoobenthos as bioindicator were heavily polluted, where as based on water quality were light polluted to moderate polluted.

Abstract

This research was conducted in October 2015-June 2016 which was held at Marine Microbiology Laboratory, Parasitic and Fish Disease laboratory and Aquaculture Technology Laboratory Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of giving Bacillus sp. Which is isolated from giant prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii de Man) and tiger prawns (Penaeus monodon) into the diet can improve the health oftilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) seen the total picture of erythrocytes, hemoglobin and hematocrit values. The method used by using Completely Randomized Design (RAL), ie in each treatment done probiotik Bacillus sp. From prawns and tiger prawns using 3 levels of treatment and 3 replications. This research uses application method by spraying probiotic Bacillus sp. On commercial feed. As probiotic treatments were used Bacillus sp. The best isolate of UG4 isolated from digestive tract of giant prawns. As for the isolates of the digestive tract of tiger shrimp used probiotics Bacillus sp. The best isolate is UWH9. The result of this research shows that P2 (UWH9) treatment is the best isolate from the digestive tract of tiger shrimp with total erosite value of 205 x 104 cell / mm3, hemoglobin level 5.05 g / dL, hematocrit value 30%, absolute weight growth Of 23.16 g, and a survival rate of 80%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTAnalysis of the content of heavy metals Cu, Pb and Zn in seawater, sediment and snails (C. obtusa) in Singkep island held on 28 November 2013 - 5 Januari 2014. All parameters measured water quality is still within tolerable limits for the survival of the aquatic organism. Samples of sea water, sediment and snails (C. obtusa) were taken from five stations with three replicates at each station. Heavy metals were analyzed in the KLH Pekanbaru laboratory using Atomic Abortion AA-7000 Shimadzu spectrophotometer. The results showed that the average content of heavy metals in Singkep waters is 0.0724 mg/l (Cu), 0.1285 mg/l (Pb)) and 0.11525 mg/l (Zn), the sediment was 10, 7513 ug/g (Cu), 25.7750 ug/g (Pb) and 34.1493 mg/g (Zn). Simple linear regression analysis indicates negative correlation between metals content in sea water and in sediment with Y = 12,864 –29,178X, r = 0,1616 (Cu), Y =26,181 – 3,1564X, r = 0,0632(Pb) ; and Y =45,479 - 61,286X, r = 0,2689 ( Zn).Keywords: heavy metals, water, sediment, Snail, Singkep Island

Abstract

This research was conducted on October to Desember 2009 at PLTAKoto Panjang reservoir an Fisheries Biology Laboratory, Fisheries and MarineScience Faculty University of Riau. The objective of this research was toindentify, find out varieties and economics value of fish occured at the reservoir.The method applied in this research was survey method by applying 7 stations forfish collection. Sample identification generated 44 varieties, these sorts included 6Ordos, 17 Familyes and 30 Genus. From 44 varietes collected could be identifiedthat 30 ot them were ornamental fishes, 33 kinds were consumed fishes and 7kinds were aquaculture fishes. These fishes may occur in the dam because theyescape from the cages or because the PLN distributed the fishes in the dam by2001 and now they reproduced.
