Abstract

ABSTRACTThis aims of this studied to inventory the fisheries publication media issued by the procvincial government agencies during 2013. Data collection used the studied of documentation on fisheries publication media. The study was conducted on September to Oktober 2013 at the 10 agencies that published media containing fisheries information.The result showed, the types of fisheries publication media issued by agencies in Riau Provincial Government amounted to 16 types namely; newspapers, magazines, tabloids, books, booklets, leaflets folders, buletins, journals, advocacy media, posters, calendars, billboards, video, online media, and television shows.The amount of publication of fisheries information publized by agencies in Riau Provincial Government on 2013 was 621.289.560cm2. Media provides the most space for publishing fisheries information was newspapers352.102.059 cm2 (56,67%) and the least was television show 182.700 cm2 (0,03%). The types of fisheries information that most widely publicized were fisheries socioeconomic (41,12%), aquculture (24,35%), aquatic product technology (24,05%), fisheries resource management (4,55%), aqutic product management (3,36%), and marine (2,55%).Keywords: Media Publication, Fisheries Information, Agencies

Abstract

Tambaqui fish much culture in Indonesia because have a fast growth andresistant to diseases. The latest aquaculturist problem is the high price of fishfeed. One of materials used in fish feed formulation is soybean meal which is veryexpensive, because it is an import basic commodity. One of alternative toovercome these problems is to replace with local raw materials such as rubberseed meal with a potentially lower the cost of feed production. The research tostudy the effect of rubber seed meal as a substitution of soy bean meal. Theresearch was conducted by using completed random design with six treatment andthree replications that which had different level comparation of soy bean meal andrubber seed meal, as follows A (45% : 0%); B (40% : 5%); C (30% : 15%); D(20% : 25%); E (10% : 35%) and F (0% : 45%). The data was analysed by Anovaand continued with least significantly different test (P>0,05). The rubber seedmeal as a substitution of soy bean meal were not significantly different on thegrowth rate. The rubber seed meal 5% it can be concluded, substitution of soybean meal 40% with 5% rubber as a substitute for soybean meal in feed to a hadthe growth (9,9 g) were not significantly different (P>0,05) with the used of feedis no substitution of rubber seed meal (10,2 g) of tambaqui fish. substitution ofsoy bean meal with rubber seed meal at level 5% can be used as feed formulationof tambaqui fish.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine the best dose of recombinant growth hormone on the growth of selais fish (Ompok hypopthalmus). This study used a complete randomized desigh with one factor that is recombinant growth hormone dose and 3 repetition. The dose given were 0 mg/kg, 6 mg/kg, 12 mg/kg, 18 mg/kg and 24 mg/kg. The results showed that addition of rElGH at dose of 12 mg/kg were the best dose for selais fish growth’s parameters; absolute length growth (3,60± 0,6 cm), absolute weight growth (3,85 ± 0,46 g), daily growth rate (5,56 ± 0,32 %), food convertion ratio (1,10 ± 0,12), protein and fat retention (46,73 ± 21,34 % and 103,83 ± 21,43 %). The highest level of glycogen muscle (22,43 ± 0,61 mg/g) was found in addition of rElGH at dose of 18 mg/kg.

Abstract

This research was conducted on October-December 2013, at Freshwater Culture Installation of Fisheries and Marine Department of  Riau Province and Bandar Kayangan Lake,  Lembah Sari village subdistrict Rumbai Pesisir Pekanbaru city Riau Province. The research aimed to analyze the water quality condition of Bandar Kayangan lake and determine the impact on  survival and growth of Catfish (Pangasius hypothalamus) fry. The method used is an experimental method by observing and measuring  sample directly on rearing cages measure 1x1x1 m. Catfish fries were stocked at the two weeks on age with the number ( 50 fries ) and  3 months time of rearing. Three units of cages were placed at each station that has been determined  and  Rumbai Freshwater Cultured Installation pond as control. The datas analyzed by descriptively and statistically, the descriptive analysis performed on physical and chemical parameters of water based on PP No. 82 year 2001 and was associated with the growth and survival of catfish fingerlings. Statistical analysis was using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and completely randomized design (CRD) with treatment of 3 times repetition. Growth and survival of catfish fingerlings on each station were quite well where the average growth of absolute weight between 35.43-36.20 grams, the average  growth rate of daily weight between 5.602-5.782%, the average of absolute growth in length between13,61-14.10 cm, the average of daily growth in length between 2.285 - 2.321% and the survival rate between 56-79%.

Abstract

The research was conducted on July to August 2008, it was aimed to knowthe characteristics of fishermen in Panglima Raja Indragiri Hilir Regency and toidentification and description about strategy on coastal resources management inPanglima Raja Indragiri Hilir Regency. The reserach was using by groundedresearch as the same case study method.The result of this research was concluded, the social economy condition offishermen in Panglima Raja among of them depend on fishing activities, loweducation in elementry school only. The culture among of them is DuanoCommunity, their activities depend on the sea, the house is called “Kajang” andthen there are malay culture in coastal zone these is knowing in religion andnationalism celebrate.The srategy on coastal resources managament based community inPanglima Raja was compiled that are : Strategy of institution development,Strategy of accompanying, research and training, Strategy of infrastructuredevelopment and environmental management, Strategy of generating incomedevelopment and Strategy of marketing acces development of fisheries product.

Abstract

Goldfish have promising prospects of aquaculture development in the field of ornamental fish, because it have attractive colours and very easily cultivated. The main thing in the growth of goldfish is feed by increasing appetite goldfish, this fish are fototaxis, so to the stimulate of fish feeding can be manipulation with environment on different light color light. The methods of this research was rared fish with different colours, the treatments were rared fish with yellow light (A), green light (B), red light (C) and Control (D). The results of the study showed significant differences in increased appetite goldfish rared on the red light (C) were have high respons with feed and (16.145seconds) and the higest growth of the weight (1, 26 gram).

Abstract

North seawaters of Bengkalis as a part of Bengkalis waters also contributeby Malacca Straits waters. This area estimate 2.398 km 2 in width and consists ofBantan Sub district waters to Bengkalis sub districtwaters area. This area yielded9.291,9 tones per annum of fish with utilization rate of almost 90%. This researchhas been done in the area during Northwest monsoonat November 2012 toSeptember 2013 for estimated density, environment and distribution of fish whichused local People Vessel as a research vessel. Result of this research that TSdistribution in the surface layer shows that a relatively small value ofthe targetstrength ranges from-64 till -94dBand the highest frequency was atthe value-73till-76dB, which indicates that most ofthe fishare spread on this area was a smallfish .Keywords : Bengkalis, distribution, density, acoustic methods, target strength.

Abstract

Siak Regency has a public waters such as rivers, swamps and lakes / seaample. Utilization is still limited as the fishing, although production is very low.Meanwhile, public waters are particularly Mandau River and Gasib River has thepotential for development of aquaculture, especially fish culture in cages. Thispotential can be seen from the area, physical condition, chemical and biologicalwater.

Abstract

This research was conducted on 27 February - 23 March 2016 for the city of Pekanbaru in Riau Province. The research objective to describe groups of farmers of freshwater fish, to compare the dynamics between groups of farmers ornamental fish are nurtured and is not fostered Department of Agriculture and analyze the elements of group dynamics farmers freshwater fish are nurtured and is not supervised by the Department of Agriculture. Determination of the respondents were proportional sampling with the taking of respondents as many as 18 people from the group of respondents ornamental fish farmers who belong to a group that fostered and nurtured a group that is not the Department of Agriculture. Analysis of the dynamics of the group performed that the group fostered by the Department of Agriculture has a score of 122.2 which is the level of dynamics in the dynamic category, while the ornamental fish farmers do not fostered scores 89.2 dynamics that are in the category of dynamic enough. this is because the group is fostered by the department of agriculture has a role in fostering a more ornamental fish farmers groups, and all elements of the group have a desire to grow their businesses as seen from the effectiveness of the groups that affect the dynamics of the group as the elements of goal attainment and satisfaction of group members.

Abstract

This studied aims to identified and analyzied the construction and design ofKurau gillnet used by fishermen in the Pambang, Bengkalis. This research usedSurvey method by directly interviewing the fishermen and measuring equipmentused. Result from this research was shown that the net where using multifilamentof material blue with 974.4 m in width 13.9 m in length of nets, according to thenumbers of eye length (mesh length) 5800, the numbers of eye towards the bottom(mesh depth) 83. Ris and buoy rope using the same material was PE(polyethilene) with a length of 480 m. Shortening to the net value of 50.73%.
