Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the ecosystem quality of Bayur Bay based on heavymetalic elements (Cd and Pb) behaviour in surface sediment. Sediment samples were collectedusing grab sampler from 4 stasions in Bayur Bay , West Sumatera Province, Indonesia in Marchto April 2009. Surface sediment samples were used for the mechanical analysis by the settling-tube method, and mean size diameter was calculated based on the proportion of grain-sizedistribution. Concentration of Cd and of Pb in the samples were determined using AutomicAbsorption Spectrofotimetry (ASS). One Way Analysis Variance (ANOVA) was carried to clarifythe relation between the concentration of Cd, Pb and mean size diameter of sediment. Generaltrend of Cd and Pb distribution strongly indicate that the ecosystem quality of Bayur Bay is insame level for all stations as shown by result of one way anova (Tcalculate < Ttabel). The studyarea is under influence of human activities supplied Cd and Pb to the surface sediment. Resultsof linier regression analysis show negative correlation between Cd concentration and mean sizediameter (Y = -0.031x + 1.262). Contrastingly, correlation between Pb concentration and meansize diameter shows positive value (Y = 0,098x - 0,10). Cd and Pb concentrations in surfacesediment of Bayur Bay are lower than the ERL (Effect Range Low: Cd = 1,2 ppm; Pb = 46,7ppm) and ERM (Effect Range Median: Cd = 9,6 ppm; Pb = 218 ppm) indicating the Bayur Bayecosystem is not yet polluted by the concentrations.

Abstract

This research based on sustainability management of lubuk larangan by communityPangkalan Indarung Village. The purpose of this study was to analyze the managementprocess from planning, organizing, implementing and controlling of lubuk larangan bycommunity Pangkalan Indarung Village and determine the factors that affect thesustainability of the management lubuk larangan by community Pangkalan IndarungVillage District Kuantan Singingi. This research method is qualitative method with adescriptive explorative approach. The method used in this research is descriptiveexploratory qualitative approach that describes the process of sustainable localwisdom management of lubuk larangan. It also examines the factors that affect thesustainability of local wisdom management lubuk larangan by community PangkalanIndarung Village District Kuantan Singingi. The results of research showed that thecommunity Pangkalan Indarung Village been successfully managing lubuk larangansustainable management process that includes planning related to setting goals,strategies and development of management activities; related institutional aspects oftraditional institutional and organizational aspects of customs, duties and functions ofthe organization and coordination of organizational structure; implementation of therelated fish harvest event of lubuk larangan; and supervisory violations related to theprevention of customs agreements and illegal fishing. Sustainability management oflubuk larangan by community Pangkalan Indarung Village influenced by severalfactors, among other ecological factors related to ecological conditions lubuk laranganconformity with local fish habitat; socio economic factors associated lubuk latangan asa source for the construction of public facilities; Socio cultural factors related lubukarangan recognition as a right ulayat desa and adaptation of social capital inmanagement system of lubuk larangan; and factors related to the role of government tothe granting of legal and technical guidance on the conservation of river resources.

Abstract

The high number of dengue fever incident in Pekanbaru was because of many factors that affecting it. Among those factors, behavior factor and environment factor were two of them. This study aimed to analyze the correlation among home environment, the 3M plus behavior, and the household income of the dengue fever incident, also to analyze the most dominant factors. The type of the study was quantitative with the case control study approach. The study was done from January to March 2019 located in Pekanbaru.The population of the study were all the patients with dengue fever in January to march 2019based on the medical data record of Arifin Achmad hospital with the sample were 28 cases and 28 controls. Data were analyzed using chi-square and logistic regression. The results showed that the home environment variable which affecting the dengue fever incident was the exposure (p value=0,000), temperature (p value=0,001), moisture (p value=0,000), the existence of mosquito larvae (p value=0,032). The 3M behavior and the household income also have a relationship with the incident of dengue fever. The most dominant variable in the incident of dengue fever was temperature with OR 20,7. Environment, (exposure, temperature, moisture and the existence of mosquito larvae, 3M plus behavior and the household income were in the relation with dengue fever. The most dominant factor of dengue fever was temperature.

Abstract

Fishing Port of Nizam Zachman Jakarta (PPSNZJ) classified in to port of type A and thelargest port in Indonesia as well has adequate facilities. Complexity of the activity that is in PPSNZJ can affect the quality of the port environment. The problems that occur in PPSNZJare hygiene problems, environmental pollution by solid and liquid waste, waste waterdrainage is clogged and causing odor. This study aims to analyze the environmentalmanagement in PPSNZJ, analyzing the role of stakeholders in environmental management in PPSNZJ and formulate a PPSNZJ management scenarios based Eco Port. This studycontributes to science, for consideration and advice to stakeholders in the management andutilization of environmentally sustainable fishing port. The research was conducted by surveymethod and determination of respondent conducted with purposive sampling. Data analysisusing comparative analysis with the concept of Eco Port. The results showed that PPSNZJ inits management do not meet the concept of Eco Port. PPSNZJ just take notice of themanagement of social, economic and less attention to the ecological aspects. PPSNZJ environmental management must implement port scenarios that correspond to the concept ofEco Port.

Abstract

This study was in November 2016 to January 2017 located in Kuantan Singingi. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship simultaneously or partially and the influence of direct and indirect between the knowledge of the owner of the depot, training owners depot, supervision of health professionals and the bacteria total coliform depot refill drinking water to the ownership of acceptance healthy certificate in Kuantan Singingi and analyze the relationship healthy acceptance certificate of ownership to consumer satisfaction in drinking water refill depot in Kuantan Singingi. Based on the results of research, knowledge variable depot owners of drinking water, training, supervision and inspection of health workers total coliform bacteria simultaneously affect the ownership of acceptance healthy certificate drinking water refill depot in Kuantan Singingi amounted to 58.4%. Partially no influence between total coliform bacteria examination depot drinking water on a healthy acceptance certificate of ownership which is indicated by p value of 0.475. While variable knowledge, training, supervision of health workers significantly affect ownership of acceptance healthy certificate of with p value respectively by 0.02, 0.09 and 0.00. Influence direct of knowledge on ownership healthy acceptance certificate of 1.2% and indirectly through training and supervision respectively by 0.4% and 1.8% and the total effect of 3.4%. Effect of training on healthy acceptance certificate direct ownership of 6.8% and indirectly through knowledge and supervision by 0.4% and 8.3% and the total effect of 15.5%. Effect of supervision of the ownership certificate of acceptance healthy 32.2% directly and indirectly through knowledge and training of respectively 1.8% and 4.3% and the total effect of 38.3%. Ownership certificates are eligible to healthy drinking water refill depot does not affect customer satisfaction in Kuantan Singingi with p value of 3.12 and a value of R square 0.15.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to see the opportunity of palm oil waste water utilization forreplacing anorganic fertilizer in growing crops. This research was using complete randomdesign in factorial design experiment using 12 kilograms of Podsolik that is mixed and filledin 40 x 40 centimeters plastic bags. Treatment that is used in this research was using wastewater Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD5) concentration (1000, 3000, 5000 and 7000)milligram per liter and urea fertilizer with dosage (0, 1, 2 and 3) gram and each treatmentwas three times replicated. The research was starting from February 28, 2010 to May 9,2010.Palm oil waste water that was used in this research gave significant difference result.Test result gave different result at all levels of waste water concentration except atconcentration of 3000 mg/l with 1000 mg/l. Interaction between treatment given was testedwith Duncan method and indicated that optimum dosage that can be used was 0 gram ofUrea fertilizer combained with waste water with BOD5 concentration 7000 mg/l.Utilizationof palm oil mill’s waste water with dosage 375 ml for 8 weeks after planting period orequivalent with 3 liters was not able to give crop result as good as comparison plant that isplanted, but waste water utilization to grow crop give good growth responses especially inmaize (Zea mays L.) that is tested. Utilization of palm oil’s waste water was suitable forbiomass production purposes but not for crop results. Utilization of palm oil mill’s wastewater especially in palm oil mill that has no plantation become one of solutions and efforts inreducing potential environmental damage caused by palm oil mill’s waste water, especiallywater and waterworks pollutions . It could be happen since waste water was not thrown awayto river but utilized to grow crops.

Abstract

Gas emission and temperature as result of fuel used in diesel engine of a fishing boat were ineasu red, in order to know its impact on fisherman comfortness as well as also can use to understand its share in global wartning or climate change. The temperature of emission gas of solar is stable increase proportional top the engine round (rpm). it is similar with mixture biofuel but the increase rate of emission gas of tile mixture biofuel rather low, even the gas emission temperature of 65% biofuel+35% solar tincture decrease as engine round (rpm) increasing. Similarly to the water cooler temperature of engine, but almost stable specially during the engine round of 500rpm to 2200 rpm. it shows that engine water cooler effectively absorp the engine temperature so that the temperature of engine tend to decrease as it indicates by the temperature of oh. Generally the oh temperature decrease as the engine round increase, as it is a reflection of engine temperature too. The emission gas of biofuel+ solar mixture from exhaust pipe almost without color and no aroma, while the color of solar fuel deeply black with uncomfort smelly. Abstract

Research was conducted to analyze the pollution of waste based on the value resistivity, wherethe relationship is resistivity of BOD and COD at 10 cm depth in the Inlet IPAL PT. RAPPindicates that there is a good correlation between the parameters of waste with a BOD andCOD values resistivity, respectively: BOD = -9.8465 + 552.87 and -645.68 + COD = 18,529.COD has trend greater than the BOD of resistivity for change in other words the presence ofCOD of waste is likely to be greater influence resistivity price. That the value of BOD and CODas a function of depth in the system outlet IPAL PT. RAPP is BOD values are generally smallercompared with the COD value.

Abstract

Research on the influence of knowledge, perception, participation society and role ofgovernment to environment condition of Sail River City of Pekanbaru has been held forthree months (January to March 2013) using survey methods to Sail river society withdirect interview use kuisioner to 100 responden which Linkert scale. Sampling locationdetermined by purposive in three location considering density and contiguity of Sailriver society. Research variable is knowledge, perception, participation society and roleof government to environment condition of Sail river with data analysis : descriptiveanalysis, rank Spearman'S correlation analysis, linear regresi analysis and hypothesisanalysis using F test. Research result of indicate the condition of Sail river haveminimal condition (score 1,98). There are influence which individually correlation withpositive direction of society participation variable (R 2 = 0,839) and government role(R 2 = 0,861) to condition of Sail river. While by simultan, variable knowledge (X 1 ),perception (X 2 ), participation (X 3 ) and role of government (X 4 ) influence the Conditionof Sail river (Y) equal to 78,2% (R 2 = 0,782) with F value > F table (89,967 > 2,47)meaning that knowledge, perception, participation society and governmental role havean effect on to condition of environment condition of Sail River.

Abstract

In response to the increasing level of environmental pollution, the waste management of the health center is carried out. This study aims to determine the components in the treatment of liquid waste, the effectiveness of the quality of liquid waste and the impact of wastewater from the health center. The study population was all health centers in the city of Pekanbaru which amounted to 21. The number of samples was 8 health centers which were selected using purposive sampling technique. Research respondents consisted of the head of the health center, sanitarian staff, third parties from the health service and the community living around the health center. Analysis of the data used is descriptive analysis with comparative methods that is comparing the results of the analysis of the quality of wastewater with the quality standards of waste according to Minister of Environment Regulation numbers. 5 of 2014.The results of the study showed that the human resources of health center in the city of Pekanbaru were adequate, namely bachelor of environmental health. Fund allocation of 7 health centers is from the Pekanbaru City Health Office. The facilities and infrastructure of the WWTP (Water Waste Treatment Plan) health center have suffered a lot of damage such as sewerage, control tubs and WWTP machine cables. The wastewater treatment method used is biologically (bacteriology) mixed with chlorine and oxidation reduction. The liquid waste treatment of health centers in the city of Pekanbaru has not been effective. Only 1 health center that can be analyzed is the quality of WWTP with BOD results of 2.35 mg / L COD 100 mg / L, TSS 8 mg / L, temperature 31oC and pH 7.51. These results indicate that the COD parameter exceeds the specified quality standard of 80 mg / L. The results of interviews with the community around the health center indicate aspects of the community around the health center in the city of Pekanbaru. This is because soil and water pollution due to liquid waste cannot be directly felt, but requires a relatively long time.
