Abstract

Objective: To compare the effects of blood flow-restricted resistance training (BFR-RT) and conventional resistance training on cardiorespiratory function and exercise capacity in adolescent swimmers. Methods: Sixteen adolescent swimmers were randomly assigned to either the BFR-RT group (n=8) or the conventional resistance training (RT) group (n=8). Both groups underwent 8 weeks of exercise intervention, with comparative analysis of body composition parameters, morphological measurements, cardiopulmonary endurance indices, and exercise performance metrics before and after the intervention. Results: After 8 weeks of training, both groups showed significant changes in body composition (p>0.05). However, both groups demonstrated marked improvements in lower limb circumference, underwater breath-hold duration, lung capacity, maximum grip strength, 5x10-meter shuttle runs, and 100m freestyle swimming performance (p<0.05), though no statistically significant differences between groups were observed. Conclusion: Both BFR-RT and conventional resistance training effectively enhance cardiorespiratory endurance and exercise capacity in adolescent swimmers over 8 weeks, with no significant difference in efficacy. It is recommended that BFR-RT be adopted as the preferred method for developing strength qualities in adolescent swimmers

Abstract

Basketball is one of the most popular sports among college students, valued not only for its recreational and fitness benefits but also for its educational and social dimensions. In particular, three-player basketball, which is played on a half-court, represents a growing form of leisure sport that emphasizes participation, entertainment, and personal expression. Despite its increasing popularity in Chengdu, the development of three-player basketball in universities still encounters several problems, such as limited publicity, insufficient professional guidance, and uneven student participation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status, opportunities, and challenges of three-player basketball in colleges and universities in Chengdu, as well as to analyze students' perceptions and level of involvement. This study adopts a combination of research methods, including literature review, questionnaire survey, and mathematical statistics. Data were collected and analyzed to examine students' understanding of basketball, their interest in three-player basketball, and the organizational structure of related activities within campus settings. The findings of the study indicate that basketball is highly popular among Chengdu college students, with three-player basketball showing rapid development and promising market prospects. Male students tend to show greater enthusiasm and participation than female students, while most activities are organized by student associations rather than by the universities themselves. The main obstacles identified include insufficient awareness, a lack of systematic promotion, and the absence of professional coaching support. This study implies that universities should further promote and institutionalize three-player basketball as part of their sports programs. Strengthening publicity, providing professional guidance, and organizing more formal competitions will enhance students' physical fitness, enrich campus sports culture, and foster sustainable interest in basketball

Abstract

The anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) plays a vital role in maintaining anterior stability of the knee joint. ACL injuries are among the most common cases in sports medicine and often result in significant impairment of athletic performance and overall quality of life. Such injuries not only cause knee dysfunction but also increase the long-term risk of complications such as osteoarthritis. The mechanisms of injury are influenced by anatomical factors, high-risk movement patterns, and deficits in neuromuscular control, making ACL rehabilitation a crucial issue in both medical and athletic fields. This study aims to provide a comprehensive examination of ACL injury mechanisms and to evaluate the effectiveness of Integrated Neuromuscular Training (INT) as a rehabilitation strategy. INT, rooted in neuromuscular control principles, is designed to restore knee and lower-limb function more effectively through a systematic and multidimensional approach. The methodology of this study is based on a literature review and theoretical analysis of prior research addressing ACL injury mechanisms, rehabilitation interventions, and the clinical as well as athletic application of INT. The findings indicate that INT is effective in enhancing knee joint stability, correcting faulty movement patterns, and reducing the risk of re-injury. Furthermore, INT contributes to improved functional performance and accelerates recovery in athletes undergoing ACL rehabilitation. The implications of this study suggest that INT can be applied not only in clinical rehabilitation settings but also in preventive training programs for athletes at high risk of ACL injury. The study provides theoretical insights for refining exercise intervention frameworks and offers practical guidance for clinicians and sports practitioners in both injury prevention and treatment

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology and the widespread adoption of online education have intensified the need to improve the quality of College English e-learning. Despite the growing prevalence of digital instruction, challenges remain in maintaining students’ engagement and achieving effective learning outcomes. To address this issue, the present study aims to examine how different aspects of teaching presence influence student engagement and, subsequently, learning performance in an online College English environment. Guided by the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework, this research develops and validates a structural model that links teaching presence → student engagement → learning performance. Using data collected from a College English massive open online course (MOOC), the study employs partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypothesized relationships among the variables. The results reveal that among the three dimensions of teaching presence—design and organization, facilitating discourse, and direct instruction—only facilitating discourse significantly enhances behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement. Furthermore, student engagement serves as a key predictor of learning performance, with cognitive engagement demonstrating the strongest effect, followed by emotional and behavioral engagement. These findings emphasize that fostering interactive and dialogue-rich learning environments is crucial for improving students’ engagement and performance in online College English learning. Theoretically, this study extends the CoI framework to second-language acquisition by identifying the differential effects of teaching presence. Practically, it highlights the importance of instructors adopting the role of facilitators who cultivate meaningful online learning communities that promote both quality and equity in digital education

Abstract

Green credit has emerged as a crucial financial mechanism to promote sustainable economic development and mitigate environmental degradation. However, the evaluation and risk assessment of green credit remain a significant challenge due to the complexity of environmental factors and the limitations of traditional financial scoring models, which primarily rely on quantitative financial data. This study aims to develop a more accurate and comprehensive green credit scoring approach by integrating financial and non-financial indicators into an advanced hybrid model. To achieve this, an RF-SVM-Stacking integrated model is proposed, combining Random Forest (RF) for feature importance ranking and Support Vector Machine (SVM) for credit scoring. The model incorporates conventional financial indicators along with non-financial factors, including green credit risk characteristics, innovation input indicators, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) ratings. Methodologically, the stacking ensemble technique is employed to enhance prediction accuracy and robustness across datasets. The empirical analysis demonstrates that the proposed RF-SVM-Stacking model achieves higher accuracy and better generalization capability compared to baseline models such as SVM with Bagging or AdaBoost, neural networks, and Gradient Boosted Decision Trees (GBDT). The findings suggest that incorporating non-financial and sustainability-related metrics significantly enhances the accuracy of green credit risk assessment. These results have important implications for financial institutions and policymakers, suggesting that adopting integrated machine learning approaches can effectively support the development of a sustainable financial system and guide more responsible investment practices aligned with global environmental objectives.
