Abstract

Financial management in Islamic educational institutions plays a crucial role in ensuring sustainability and quality improvement. This study examines the financial management strategies implemented at Jamiah Syeikh Daud Al-Fathoni (JISDA), focusing on optimizing financial sources such as zakat, infaq, sadaqah, and waqf. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, using literature reviews, interviews, and institutional financial reports to analyze Jamiah Syeikh Daud Al-Fathoni (JISDA) financial strategies. The findings reveal that Jamiah Syeikh Daud Al-Fathoni (JISDA) integrates waqf-based productive assets, establishes a sharia cooperative, and utilizes digital financial systems to enhance financial transparency and efficiency. Furthermore, collaboration with Islamic financial institutions and the development of crowdfunding platforms significantly contributes to institutional sustainability. The results indicate that implementing Islamic financial principles strengthens Jamiah Syeikh Daud Al-Fathoni (JISDA) financial resilience, ensuring operational stability and institutional growth. The study concludes that an innovative and adaptive financial management model incorporating digitalization and community-based fundraising is essential for Islamic higher education institutions. Future research should explore the effectiveness of fintech-based financial solutions in enhancing financial independence in Islamic educational institutions

Abstract

A good textbook is very important in the learning process because learning will not be successful without a good book. This research aims to know the criteria that must be identified when writing the Arabic textbook Class V from the perspective of Rushdi Ahmed Tuaimah in one of the Islamic primary schools, namely Bintang Cendekia in Pekanbaru, Indonesia, and to know the validity of its use. The data collection method is the interview and the document, and the data analysis method is content analysis and evaluation. Based on the data analysis, the result obtained is that the Arabic textbook scheduled is not good to be used, with it does not yet include some basic and standard of Arabic textbook compilation in terms of language, culture, and education content. It can be generalized that many textbooks are not generated from scientific research and do not consider the principles and criteria in writing a textbook. Therefore, popular textbooks need to be standardized to be good.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital textbook for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on integrative science that is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing the creative thinking skills of students at SMPIT Al-Marjan Nusa Indah, Bengkulu City. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model. The data sources in this study consisted of both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained from expert reviews and suggestions provided by media experts, content experts, PAI teachers, and students. Meanwhile, quantitative data were derived from expert validation assessments and student response questionnaires. The results of this research and development indicate the following: (1) The development of the digital Islamic Religious Education textbook was deemed valid by the validators, as evidenced by the validation scores from the content expert (91.4%), media expert (94.2%), language expert (90%), and subject teacher expert (93%), all of which fall under the "highly valid" category. (2) The practicality test of the integrative science-based digital textbook, based on student responses, yielded an average score of 89%, indicating that the textbook is highly practical. (3) The effectiveness test was conducted through pretest and posttest comparisons between control and experimental groups. The data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and independent t-tests, the results of which confirmed the high effectiveness of the integrative science-based digital textbook. Furthermore, the improvement in students’ creative thinking skills was supported by student response questionnaires, which showed a score of 86.43, indicating a significant enhancement in creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study critically examines the contrasting perspectives of Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Rushd on the legitimacy of rational interpretation in Islam. Employing a qualitative method with comparative textual analysis, the research explores their methodologies, intellectual justifications, and critiques of opposing views. Ibn Taymiyyah advocates a literalist approach, emphasizing strict adherence to textual sources and rejecting allegorical interpretation (ta'wil), while Ibn Rushd harmonizes reason and revelation, endorsing ta'wil for philosophical inquiry. The findings highlight their epistemological divergences and convergences, offering insights into the historical dynamics of Islamic thought and the ongoing tension between textualism and rationalism. This study underscores the relevance of their debates in contemporary discussions on interpreting sacred texts.

Abstract

The Abbasid Dynasty period is recognized as the golden age of Islamic civilization, during which knowledge flourished rapidly. This research aims to historically examine the role of the Abbasid Dynasty in building scientific infrastructure through the establishment and development of classical Islamic educational institutions. This study employs a qualitative methodology with a historical approach and document analysis. Data were obtained through a literature review of primary and secondary sources relevant to intellectual dynamics and educational institutions during the Abbasid period. The findings indicate that the Abbasid Dynasty, through the support of caliphs such as Harun al-Rashid and Al-Ma'mun, not only established institutions like Bayt al-Hikma (House of Wisdom) and madrasas, but also created supporting systems including patronage, budgeting, and expanded access to knowledge. It was also discovered that this period became a milestone for integration between religious and rational sciences, giving birth to an open and tolerant academic culture. The implications of this research demonstrate that many contemporary Islamic educational structures, such as university systems and integrated curricula, are rooted in the Abbasid educational model. This research provides an important contribution to the development of Islamic Religious Education studies, particularly in building holistic and historical educational models.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence and spiritual intelligence on the social adaptation of master's degree students in the Islamic Religious Education program. The main issue addressed is the lack of students’ ability to adapt socially in the university environment. To address this, a quantitative approach with a survey method was employed, using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 48 students selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire on a Likert scale. Validity and reliability tests confirmed that the instrument was both valid and reliable. Data analysis included normality, linearity, t-test, F-test, and determination coefficient (R²). The results showed that both emotional and spiritual intelligence significantly influence social adaptation, both partially and simultaneously. The R² value of 0.663 indicates that the independent variables explain 66.3% of the variation in social adaptation. The study concludes that strengthening emotional and spiritual competencies is a key strategy to improve students' social adaptation. It recommends the integration of emotional and spiritual intelligence development into student development programs in Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

The Islamic education learning strategy for students with disabilities at SLBN 31 PKLK Pangkal Pinang is basically carried out in accordance with general provisions, but there are significant differences related to the conditions of students who have different levels of intellectual and social intelligence compared to children of the same age in general. The objective of this study is to analyze the Islamic education learning strategies and supporting factors and obstacles in character building for students with disabilities at SLBN 31 PKLK Pangkal Pinang. The researcher conducted qualitative field research by collecting data through interviews, observations, and supporting documentation, and analyzing it using the Spradley model. The researcher found that Islamic religious education strategies in character building include expository, cooperative, and contextual learning strategies that shape the character of students with disabilities to be pious, independent, and polite. The success of character building is also supported by competent Islamic Religious Education teachers and supportive parents. However, there are obstacles in the character-building process, such as student factors, the environment, the Islamic Religious Education teachers themselves, and the curriculum.

Abstract

This article focuses on development plans through education and local wisdom in the Mandeh Tourism Area, South Pesisir Regency, Indonesia. The research methods used in this study were desk study, participatory qualitative method through focus group discussions (FGD), and direct observation at the research site. The results of this study describe several points, namely: an analysis of the empowerment and local wisdom of the Mandeh Nagari community, and an analysis of the development potential of the Mandeh Tourism Area. The recommendation from this study is that education and empowerment of local wisdom are very strategic in encouraging the growth and sustainability of the Mandeh area as a leading tourist destination that provides greater benefits in terms of culture and economic perspective and must involve the active participation of the community, the private sector, the central government, the regional government, and the Nagari government.

Abstract

This article discusses the theory and application of Fiqh al-Bīʿah Watan (Local Islamic Environmental Jurisprudence) as a framework for Islamic environmental governance in the State of Pahang. The approach emphasizes that environmental stewardship is not merely a human duty but an act of worship grounded in tawḥīd, maqāṣid, and adab. Using historical and content analysis, the study examines key policy documents and academic sources such as Garis Panduan Syariah Alam Sekitar (JAKIM, 2023) and Ceramah Aspirasi Pahang 1st (2025). Findings reveal that Fiqh al-Bīʿah Watan functions as a local Islamic epistemology integrating Malaysia customs, science, and Shariah principles within a holistic maqāṣid-based sustainability framework. Pahang thus emerges as a model of Islamic ecological governance aligning development with raḥmah, mīzān, and barakah.

Abstract

This research analyzes the concept of intention (niyyah), the urgency of its purification, and the relevance of Az-Zarnuji's thoughts in the book Ta‘lim al-Muta‘allim to modern Islamic education. Using a qualitative approach and library research, the study focuses on content analysis of the primary text of Ta‘lim al-Muta‘allim. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman.The results show that intention (an-niyyah) is the main spiritual and moral foundation that determines the blessing (barakah) and devotional value of seeking knowledge. Az-Zarnuji emphasizes the purification of intention (tazkiyat an-niyyah) so that the learning objective is free from worldly ambitions and directed as a means of devotion to God (Allah). A sound intention leads to beneficial knowledge (‘ilm nāfi‘) and shapes the scholar's character to be humble (tawāḍu‘) and ethical.This thought has high relevance in the context of modern education. The concept of Tazkiyat an-Niyyah can serve as the spiritual foundation that strengthens the implementation of Deep Learning, ensuring the learning process is both Meaningful and Mindful, thereby enabling the educational system to reorient itself towards the formation of a character defined by integrity and civility.
