Abstract

The Bawa Muhaiyaddeen Fellowship was founded in Philadelphia in the 1970s with a focus on universal spirituality. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen, a prominent figure, played a key role in connecting Sufi heritage to the United States. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen's teachings have become an important part of Sufism's history in America. He successfully united various perspectives on the relationship between Sufism and Islam, Sufis and Muslims, Sufis and Non-Muslims, as well as Muslims and non-Sufis. This research used a qualitative approach with the ethnography method and analyzed media using the AMS (Siber Media Analysis) technique. The findings reveal that Sufis prioritize the afterlife and strive to control their impulses to avoid harming themselves and others. Bawa Muhaiyaddeen emphasized that Sufis should also strive to be more competitive than those who focus solely on fulfilling their desires and greed.

Abstract

The study of the Quran encompasses a multitude of significant concepts pertaining to the interpretation and comprehension of its text. This qualitative research employs the method of descriptive analysis to expound upon the process of translating the Quranic text from its original Arabic form into other languages. The act of translation is of paramount importance due to the Quran's initial revelation in Arabic, rendering comprehension of its content and message inaccessible to non-Arabic speakers without the aid of translation. The concepts of takwil and tafsir serve to facilitate the interpretation of the Quranic meaning, with the former referring to a meaning that is not explicitly stated in the text, and the latter involving a more in-depth interpretation of the Quranic text, considering its historical and cultural context. Hermeneutics, a comprehensive and systematic methodology of text interpretation, is instrumental in the science of the Quran, given the intricacy and multiplicity of meanings within its text, necessitating scrupulous and diligent understanding.

Abstract

This scientific article explores the implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at higher education institutions, focusing on the analysis of existing opportunities and challenges. This topic is crucial to study, not only because no one has done it before, but this study is a step to understand how technology can be effectively used in the context of islamic religious education at the higher education. On the other hand, this study is also conducted to identify potential areas for further research and the development of innovative solutions in addressing existing challenges. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Data were collected through the interview process with lecturers and students, as well as literature studies through Syllabus, RPS, and PAI Teaching Materials. Additionally, a study of various supporting literature in the form of journals, books, and reports of other research results was also conducted. From the results of the study, four main opportunities were found to improve the quality of the implementation of religious education and character for students, namely more personal learning experiences, improved quality of materials, material improvement, and learning simulations. AI can facilitate a more adaptive and responsive learning experience to individual needs and allow for the development of richer and more in-depth materials. However, the implementation of AI also faces significant challenges, including ethical issues and religious sensitivity, resource availability, apathy and resistance to technology, and assurance of content quality.

Abstract

This paper describes how to improve the quality of education. This research is library research, analyzed qualitatively because there is an interest in interpretation and seeking meaning from written texts in literary sources. Schools must play a role in helping students learn about values so that they know and can understand good values, schools must stimulate and foster students' moral awareness so that they have an awareness of values, and schools must also provide space, assistance, and supervision to students to do and work on good values. Quality management and organizational commitment are very important related to the quality of education. In the Quran, the word commitment corresponds to the word إعتصام which can be found 14 times in repetition in several verses and letters and can be interpreted as maintaining, protecting, or holding fast (istamsaka). Management is synonymous with the word "dabbara, Yudabbiru, tadbiran" which means to direct, manage, implement, run, regulate and take care of. Quality is the realization of the principle of ihsan(احسان), in the form of giving goodness to anything and anyone, and avoiding damage in any form Improving the quality of education can be done by increasing the role of schools and educational institutions with a strategy of preparing character leadership, human resource development, and character-based education.
