Abstract

Communication anxiety is each individual's reaction to threatening situations, causing psychological pressure. Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that from 2015, around 264 million people have suffered from anxiety disorders. Data from the Ministry of Health throughout 2020 showed that the number of anxiety disorders experienced by the community increased by 6.8%, and as many as 18,373 people experienced anxiety disorders. Anxiety disorders experienced by a person can occur due to external and internal stimuli. The impact of communication anxiety experienced by a person is miscommunication and errors in perceiving communication messages. Individuals will experience a sense of self-discomfort and distrust and have problems in social communication. Messages related to communication anxiety are obtained in the face-to-face communication process and visualized in the form of interesting music videos. One of the music videos that are interesting to study is Yura Yunita's with the title "Tutur Batin". This research method uses the semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes. Primary data was obtained from video clips that showed communication anxiety, especially related to the causative factors. This study aims to identify messages of communication anxiety and the factors that cause a person to experience communication anxiety. The theory used is the theory of Communication Apprehension. Based on the results, several factors cause communication anxiety: environmental factors, reinforcement, assessment, ability, and experience. As for the cast, it is dominated by women, and a negative support system causes a person to feel uncomfortable with himself. This research is expected to be a reference for future research focusing on interpersonal communication and communication media studies.

Abstract

Broadcast media governance carries out digitization, which refers to Article 72 of Law No. 11/2020 and Article 60A No. 32/2002. As many as 85% of developed countries in the world have migrated to digital broadcasting, but until now,  Indonesia is in the process of digitizing broadcasting. This study was conducted to describe the implications of media policies used in managing TVKU as one of the local television stations in Central Java related to the applicable law. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis with participant observation. The diffusion of innovation theory will be used to determine the process of adopting broadcasting digitization technology as a communication channel by TV Lolah Central Java, TVKU. The results showed that the government's mechanism in conducting socialization, models and roles in digitizing broadcasting caused local television stations to experience inequality in the implementation that occurred in the field. Various obstacles experienced by local television stations in digitizing broadcasting can affect the protection of their existence as broadcasters. The number of channels in digital broadcasting media compared to analogue broadcasting creates space as fierce competition for all television stations to become content providers , such as new digital television stations. As a result, local television stations unable to implement the broadcasting digitization process will experience broadcast closures. This research can be used as a reference for further research in media policy and local television station management.

Abstract

As a country with the largest Muslim majority population in the world, Indonesia is the most potential target market for sharia-based products. This is indicated by the increasing public enthusiasm for various sharia investment products. There are two aims of this study. First aim is to evaluate the performance of sharia equity funds in Indonesia by employing risk-adjusted returns as the measurement and its investment manager’s competence. Second aim is to provide empirical evidence whether fund characteristics such as fund size, expense ratio, and portfolio turnover ratio, together with fund manager skills such as stock selection skill and market timing ability have influence on fund performance. This study used a sample of 15 sharia equity funds in Indonesia with an observation period from 2017-2021. Secondary data of fund characteristics is available on annual financial report contained in the sustainability prospectus of each sample. Meanwhile, secondary data of portfolio return, market return, and risk-free rate for measuring fund manager skills and fund performance can be obtained from pasardana.id and Bank Indonesia official website. Data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive analysis and panel data multiple regression analysis. This study provides additional empirical evidence in the field of sharia capital market investment that is beneficial for future researchers, and also useful for sharia-compliant investors as another important reference regarding factors that can significantly influence sharia equity fund performance.

Abstract

The effectiveness of zakat in poverty reduction has become controversial. Some belief it to be highly effective and some believe that its effectiveness has decreased than in the time of the apostle Prayer of God. Most of them are considered to be less effective in our time, so the researcher decided to do a study in this area, especially in Zakat systems in some Arab countries. Zakat systems in Islamic countries are very different from each other have different zakat systems, Which made us ask which of these systems is the best for managing and distributing the financial of zakat, To reduce or alleviate poverty, at a time when the number of poor Muslims is increasing which has made the researcher deeper into understanding this problem and how to solve it, In three different countries selected as examples to deepen their zakat systems, Information for this study has been collected from books, research, documents, records, judgments, and others. Information that demonstrates the scientific answers to each of the research questions is then extracted, and the researcher may get that each of these three systems is commensurate with the nature of the country, the census, and even the problems experienced by each country individually. However, there seems to be a lack of distribution of zakat funds and the (Muzaki) themselves, making zakat a 100% ineffective tool, but much less, and even the numbers of the poor increase in each of these three countries (Gaza and Indonesia), All three systems are effective in managing the finances of zakat in certain proportions, but they have some shortcomings, making them unable to eradicate poverty or even reduce the number of poor people. This makes them need to be more disciplined in other respects, such as collecting and distributing zakat funds by legitimate means, and weakens them in a challenge to do awareness-raising or forcing them to pay zakat of all kinds.

Abstract

This study aims to find a new understanding and reinterpret the meaning of Qiwamah in the Qur'an Surah an-Nisa' verse 34. This reinterpretation needs to be done considering that there are some understandings from commentators who understand and provide an understanding of the meaning of Qiwamah as a guardian, leader, protector, Etc. This kind of understanding departs from the textual framework of thinking in the verses of the Qur'an. This interpretation model finally emerges in understanding and practice in the community where men or husbands in the household feel they have a higher position than women or wives. As a result, in the end, the man or husband tends to be authoritarian in establishing a household relationship because they feel they have legitimacy from the textual interpretation model. This article will review the meaning of Qiwamah through the negotiable hermeneutic approach of Khaled M. Abou el-Fadl to present a new understanding that is more humanistic and eliminates the excess power of men and their arbitrary attitude towards women. This research concludes that the meaning of Qiwamah, understood by some scholars of the interpretation, needs to be re-understood. One of the efforts to give birth to this new meaning is interpretation through the negotiable hermeneutic approach of Khaled M. Abou el-Fadl, which pays great attention to social problems that develop in Islamic society and the values of justice and equality between men and women. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis.

Abstract

Digital interactions with social media consistently result in new releases that feature elaborate features. In social media, interactions between celebrities on Instagram or in other celebrity-related contexts provide a new way for followers and the celebrity in question to interact. In 2022, Indonesia will have a large proportion of social media influencers in every country. According to this data, the percentage of influencers will rise to more than 40% by the year 2020. One influencer account that currently has a sizable following is @dindarahmawatis, who has experience creating content about the lives of other people, particularly children. The interaction between the owner of the account @dindarahmawatis and their followers has been growing steadily, and this is in line with the theory of parasitic interaction put forward by Auter and Palmgreen in the year 2021. . The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between social interaction patterns and the theme of missing children on the Instagram account of @dindarahmawatis. The method used is deskriptif kualitatif, with the initial data being text from the Instastory account of @dindarahmawatis and data being pulled every second from wawancara results with account holders. The findings of the study indicate that the owner of the account @dindarahmawatis engaged in parasocial interactions that primarily focused on three factors: task attraction, romantic attraction, and identity attraction. A personal communication strategy is used, along with positive feedback to followers, courteous language, and a humble demeanor, all of which are backed by the outward look of Muslim women who are used as role models for followers. These factors dominate the method taken. Further research that explicitly investigates interactions on new media pages can use this study as a source of inspiration. Abstract

The 1883 Krakatau eruption and the 2018 tsunami that hit the coast of Banten and Lampung are among the most memorable disasters in Indonesian history. One occurred during the colonial period when technology had not yet reached the sophistication it has today, and the other when technology was very advanced. This research aimed to see what religious issues developed in the 1883 Krakatau eruption and the 2018 tsunami. This research uses the historical method of heuristic, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. Data collection was done through a literature study. The past and present are connected through three approaches, namely genetic, historical parallelism, and comparative. The approach used in this research compares the similarities and differences related to religious issues related to disasters in two different periods and events. Religious issues, in view of those who believe in them, play an important role in the causes and effects of disasters. Religious issues that can be read in these two events range from forms of religious fanaticism to religious sentiment. Understanding religious issues related to disasters from an emic perspective will help plan disaster mitigation appropriately amidst the short memories of communities in disaster-prone areas.

Abstract

This paper discusses Murtadha Motahhari's thoughts on historical philosophy and aims to reconstruct Murtadha Motahhari's thoughts regarding his historical philosophy from an Islamic perspective. The methods used are heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The results of the study show that there are differences of opinion between the concept of western historical philosophy and Murtadha Mutahhari's philosophy of Islamic history. The concept of western philosophy of history holds that the philosophy of history from the point of view of the nature of history is material or material, from the point of view of the laws of history it has laws of determinism, and from the point of view of the movement of history or historical development it is determined by economic factors. Meanwhile, according to Murtadha Mutahhari, the philosophy of history in terms of the nature of history is not only material in nature but also intangible and supramaterial in nature. Human self.
