Abstract

Religious moderation is urgent to be implemented in Indonesia because Indonesia is a diverse country in united. However, the fact is that there are practices of excessive religious moderation that tend to be extreme. So that in order to restore the meaning of religious moderation that Wasathiyyah is in the middle as mandated by Allah SWT. in the Qur'an Surah Al-Baqarah verse 143, it is necessary to limit the practice of religious moderation. So we need a concrete solution to this problem. So this research has several objectives, namely to: (1) Describe excessive religious moderation practices, (2) Analyze efforts to limit excessive religious moderation practices. As for this research is a type of qualitative research. So the research method used is a normative approach that collects data by means of literature studies from some of the literature used. The results and discussion of this study is that the excessive practice of religious moderation is the intention of carrying out religious practices with the aim of moderation not being strict but too loose so that it tends to give rise to a new pole of liberal extremism that leads to polytheism. For example, General "D"'s controversial statement and Gus Samsudin's medical practices. The efforts to limit the practice of excessive religious moderation are carried out by studying and understanding the 4 (four) indicators or limitations of religious moderation by the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, namely a strong national commitment, being tolerant properly, being non-violent, and accommodating to local culture. So that the practice of religious moderation can be carried out properly and not excessively which tends to be extreme.

Abstract

Akad and wedding receptions are moments that are considered sacred and are eagerly awaited by a million people today. Not a few think that this moment is a very important moment than anything, even the implementation is very luxurious and lively. Implementation which often takes all day just to welcome guests who come with various properties that cannot be separated from the joy of this moment. And it's so important, most people dare to put aside the obligation to pray just for the sake of maintaining the makeup on the bride. Prayer is one of the acts of worship with the fardhu ain law, which however and whatever the conditions must be carried out. As explained in the Book of Fathul Qarib page 20 that even in a situation on the battlefield, members of the war are still required to pray according to the provisions stipulated in the book. And is it only because the moment of marriage that is considered important makes it understandable to leave or join the prayer? Though marriage also includes worship that will be carried out for life and must be maintained by its wisdom by not leaving prayer. Then a concrete solution is needed in this case. So this research intends to strengthen the obligation to pray when on the move, especially in the implementation of wedding processions and eliminate the trivial notion of postponing prayers only for certain reasons. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, namely by using literature review, especially in the perspective of hadith and also equipped with interviews from several related sources to support the accuracy of the data. The results of this study are in the form of a legal basis and a solution to how important it is not to leave prayer when carrying out a wedding procession in the perspective of hadith.

Abstract

Islam, as a religion of rahmatan lil alamin, teaches its people to maintain peace and spread love. However, a narrow understanding of Islam then tends to lead to radicalism. Exclusivity, anti-tolerance, fanaticism, and revolutionary are characteristics of radicalism that have the potential to create a negative stigma in society for the religion of Islam. Therefore, various deradicalization efforts have been carried out, one of which is by practicing a local wisdom approach that is considered capable of countering radicalism through deep-rooted traditions. This study aims to analyze the local wisdom of Lampung Culture, namely Piil Pesinggiri, by focusing on the deradicalization movement through da'wah. This method is instrumental in minimizing radicalism with a local wisdom approach. The valuesof togetherness that the people of Lampung have in Piil Pesinggiri become material for da'wah as an effort to approach an effective deradicalization movement. Although the term deradicalization is not found explicitly in Lampung's cultural philosophy, Piil Pesinggiri, which is a way of life for the people of Lampung, can be juxtaposed with the Islamic da'wah approach as an effort to deradicalize the movement. Piil Pesinggiri's philosophy consists of five values: Pesinggiri, Juluk-Adok, Nemuy-Nyimah, Nengah-Nyappur, and Sakay-Sambayan, each of which is filled with the teachings of moderate and balanced goodness. The meanings of these five values can be conveyed and packaged in da'wah messages, both with the da'wah method bil hal and bil lisan.

Abstract

This article talks about education now and the future, of course, cannot be separated from historical nostalgia about Islam and the peak of its civilization in the past. The method uses a library research and data from books, journals, and others. So, in this case before the power of science raised the spirits of Westerners (renaissance), al-Siba'i said that Islam had experienced its golden age, while Europe was confined by a dark. It reads a terrible condition, where Islam is busy with scientific studies so that it gives birth to a civilization that has a very high value, unlike the Western world which closes rationality and relies on mystical. If it can be said, Islam is currently still shackled or "hasn't moved on" to historical romanticism in the past, in the sense that it still uses "old clothes" because it has had a long history of questioning world civilization and influential scholars. Then forgetting today’s reality, Islam is powerless against the currents of modernism. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to photograph educational problems in terms of ontology, epistemology, and axiology aspects.

Abstract

This article examines the Islamization of South Sulawesi in the perspective of speculative and critical philosophy of history. The established order towards Islamization often gives rise to speculations that are believed by the people, without being based on a critical historical reconstruction. The established findings on Islamization were made by three preachers namely, Datuk ri Bandang, Datuk Patimang, Datuk ri Tiro who came from Lontara. However, there are other findings as an antithesis, especially those which find that Islam first spread in Tosora-Wajo brought by descendants of the Hadramaut named Sayyid Jamaluddin Akbar Alhusaini who came from Aceh, who traveled with a group of 15 people sourced from archaeological evidence and oral tradition. Islam that has reached the king, seems to ignore the narrative about Islam that grows in society. The impression is that history favors power based on writing, and ignores the history of societies based on archaeological evidence and oral traditions. It is known that Islamic values in the Wajo community had developed before the arrival of Islam from Gowa. These two views will be dissected in a speculative and critical view. This article uses historical methods, performs heuristics in the form of lontara documents and archaeological evidence of Islamization in South Sulawesi, then critiques the sources used to reduce bias between the two views on Islamization, after which it is interpreted and historiographical.
