Abstract

A big challenge faced by Muslims today is the alignment of Islamic ideology with various aspects of human life, especially the economic aspect which is a vital point of human life. Through religious ideology, Muslims are encouraged to be able to answer various problems that occur in the midst of life. Therefore, Maqashid shari'ah has become very essential in Islamic economics and occupies a place. The shari'ah perspective views that the reason humans are involved in economic activity is an effort to maintain the mashlahah. Economic activity, both production and consumption, must be based on the principle of mashlahah. All forms of economic activity that bring mashlahah to humans are about needs that must be met, not activities oriented to the satisfaction of wants. This is a goal in economic activity as well as a religious obligation Islamic economics places Maqashid shari’ah as the foundation, so that the economic system and science that is run can provide mashlahah and be able to be a solution to any economic problems that occur. Al-Syatibi's thought in the field of economics is known for its ability to connect the Maqashid Shari’ah concept as the foundation of the Islamic economic system such as the concept of property ownership, reproductive needs, taxation, consumption, distribution and fiscal policy.

Abstract

Humans were created by Allah SWT in order to live their lives on earth as khalifatullah fil ardh, this shows that humans cannot live haphazardly, they should follow the rules set by those who created them, but the events are different, if you look at the damage that is happening everywhere On this earth, humans prey on each other, wars occur everywhere, massive exploitation which sometimes does not take into account the damage that may occur to nature and the environment, crimes in society are sometimes difficult to detect because of selfishness, greed and the desire to dominate. However, there is also a lot of goodness happening on this earth, namely those who recognize and follow the guidance given by religious teachings, especially those who are aware that their creation is to be beings who must properly manage this earth, preventing damage that may or may not cause damage to nature and its environment. To be able to find out, the author tries to describe it by conducting library research and looking for other supporting documents to then see a solution to this condition. It turns out that long before that Allah had created noble human beings to accompany other human beings in managing this nature, especially from an economic point of view, they were prophets and apostles who brought the message of monotheism. One of the noblest humans ever born on this earth who brought the treatise is Muhammad Rasulullah SAW.

Abstract

This paper describes the relationship between Muslims and Christians in the middle period of Islamic history (1250-1850). The two main points answered in this paper are, first; Relations between Muslims and Christians in the Era of Decline (1250-1500 AD) and, secondly, Relations between Muslims and Christians during the Three Great Kingdoms Period (1500-1800 AD). The method used is the method of writing history which includes heuristics, source criticism, interpretation and historiography. The historical method is useful for systematically and objectively reconstructing the past in order to reach a complete conclusion. The results of the study show that the relations between Islam and Christianity in the medieval period were more often confrontational than holding hands through a dialogical process. This period became a critical period for Muslims because it faced critical reciprocal tensions. Internally, Muslims are difficult to unite because of the diversity of cultures and the extent of their jurisdiction and the excessive fanaticism of religious groups. While external challenges, the Abbasid dynasty faced attacks from the Mongols led by Hulagu Khan and Timur Lenk as well as attacks from the Safavid Empire in Persia. Specifically, the confrontational relations between Islam and Christianity were marked by the collapse of the Ayubbiyah Dynasty. Since then, Muslims and Christians have increased the scale of conflict known as the Holy War or Crusade.
