Abstract

Sambas Regency is a local government that still follows the traditions, customs, and cultures of the past until now. Traditional ceremonies such as weddings and haircuts in Sambas Regency still use woven fabrics as clothing and complements. Sambas woven fabric is a traditional craft that is no less competitive with other regional woven products. The production of Sambas woven fabrics is currently carried out at the Weaving House in the village of Sumber Harapan, Sambas Regency, West Kalimantan. However, there are several problems in producing this woven fabric. Existing problems such as the weaving process which is still less productive, lack of product marketing, exhibitions that are held irregularly, lack of a place to show off woven products and lack of forums for discussion. This design uses the concept of contemporary architectural principles as an approach that supports the design of spaces that have innovative, creative and flexible themes. The shape changes in the design of the Sambas Weaving House Area are linear, almost symmetrical to add aesthetics to the area. The number of floors that are only designed in one floor because the building is a wide span. The design for the development of the Sambas Weaving House Area in Sumber Harapan Village, Sambas Regency resulted in a multi-mass area which includes gallery buildings, management offices, food courts and prayer rooms.

Abstract

Along with the development of the times, human life is also changing, the pattern of life and activities in every job that requires the community, especially big cities to be ready in prime condition. In carrying out daily activities, humans tend to use brain functions more than muscles, so humans are more likely to be lazy to spend more energy. This causes many people to experience obesity, stress, physically unhealthy etc. The purpose of the fitness center is to provide comfort with sports facilities provided for the community. The activities in the form of a gym, aerobics, yoga, swimming, jogging and several other sports that aim to train muscles and reduce weight, make the ideal body as desired. In planning a fitness center as a place for exercise and sports, the design must be in the form of a building with a large space. The application of green open space in the building can be applied to the garden in the building, with wide openings in each room so as to be able to take advantage of the ventilation sanded with vegetation to make the room feel comfortable and cool. This application is suitable for sports areas, because when doing sportsactivities the body requires smooth oxygen circulation. Destroyed ventilation with vegetation is also able to provide health for the body while exercising.

Abstract

Health is a healthy state of a person who is not only physically but also socially, spiritually and mentally. In every area there must be a health service facility called a hospital. The construction of hospitals in Pontianak City is not so evenly distributed, especially in North Pontianak District. Type C general hospital is a hospital with a capacity of at least 100 inpatient beds, and related to the number of facilities and the ability of specialized medical services at least 4 (four) basic specialists. The approach used in planning a type C hospital is a healing environment approach, which is an approach that combines elements of nature, psychology, and the senses with considerations of site, actors and activities, size of space, architectural elements, structures, utilities. The purpose of this design is the design of a type C hospital that can meet the needs of health facilities in North Pontianak District and the design of a hospital building that is comfortable, safe, and can respond to the surrounding environment by combining natural, psychological, and sensory elements. The methodology used is data collection, data analysis and synthesis, and the design phase. The result of the design of a type C hospital is a hospital building that is comfortable, safe, and able to respond to the surrounding environment by combining natural, psychological, and sensory elements in North Pontianak District.

Abstract

The city of Mempawah, also known as the earth of galaherang, has lots of tourist destinations.  This is because the it has regional characteristics in the form of land and coastal islands with seas. There is a potential beach tourism destination in there which has mangrove ecosystem in it, namely Tanjung Burung Beach.  However, the current condition of it is still not optimal due to a lack of supporting facilities as an ecotourism area, which causes activities in it to become monotonous and less attractive. In an effort to maximize the potential of areas that have characteristics in the form of sandy and muddy soils, outbound tourism areas can be designed with attractive activities and can be carried out in all types of environmental conditions.  The design of the Mempawah City Tanjung Bird Beach aims to create a playground for visitors that is formed based on the potential and problems of each by adjusting the playings that can be applied to take advantage of the surrounding natural conditions.  The design of this outbound tourism area focuses on the Tanjung Burung Beach area using the glass box design method which is carried out sequentially to produce an attractive outbound tourism design concept by applying ecotourism principles to outbound play spaces to minimize damage and preserve the surrounding environment to make it a sustainable tourist area.

Abstract

Poverty is one of the many problems that exist in Indonesia. Based on the data, one of the causes of poverty is the low level of education of an individual so that they do not have sufficient productivity to carry out a business or job. The level of education is an indicator that determines the level of the Human Development Index (IPM) in a region. West Kalimantan Province is one of the areas with a low HDI level in Indonesia. In an effort to increase the HDI in the province of West Kalimantan, it is necessary to have a place to accommodate underprivileged children who want to go to school. The boarding school system can be an appropriate alternative that not only provides learning opportunities but also self-development for students. Actors in boarding schools live and carry out activities fully in the school environment so that they help pay attention to character growth, children's health, and can also ease the burden on family life. The design of the boarding school uses the glassbox (rational) method where data collection and analysis forms the basis before creating a work that is logical and in accordance with its function. The location of the boarding school design is located in an area that has a tropical climate. In designing a boarding school using a tropical architectural approach. The application of tropical architecture in boarding schools is expected to be able to solve various problems that are owned by tropical climate areas so that the relationship between the environment and buildings and user activities in buildings can run optimally.

Abstract

A museum with artistic value and function is a building created to maintain and retell a silent evidence relating to the history of a field, place and nation. This design is intended as an effort to meet the needs of the Pontianak City museum which is also the discourse of the city government in the near future. The design of the Pontianak City Museum was deemed necessary, because as the provincial capital, Pontianak City is a city that has a variety of cultures. Heritage objects that need to be maintained and preserved need a place such as the city museum. The steps taken in designing the Pontianak City Museum were using the 5-step analysis design method by J.C Jones: Idea, Analysis, Synthesis, Evaluation, and Optimization. Data collection techniques in the design of the Pontianak City Museum used primary data obtained from observations and field interviews regarding visiting data and arrangements at the West Kalimantan Provincial Museum as well as secondary additional data collected from books and articles. The result of this design is the building design of the Pontianak City Museum which is included in the landscape of the riverside area with the adaptation of the iconic city monument. Consists of permanent and non-permanent showrooms, auditorium, storage and conservation rooms.

Abstract

Most human activities are carried out in an indoors space. The room as an activity support facility must be able to provide a sense of comfort and safety and provide the health impacts needed by its occupants. Unhealthy working conditions can cause SBS (Sick Building Syndrome). SBS is a health problem and discomfort during activities in the room, which gradually disappears when the room user leaves the building. SBS causes a decrease in room user’s health, comfort, and productivity. To prevent this, identification of indoor health and comfort or IHC based on Greenship Interior Space is required. The object of this research is the Tanjungpura University Library, which has fulfiled the green construction criteria in terms of previous research. The study used an evaluative method by measuring the assessment referring to the Greenship Interior Space version 1 standard with field observations, simulations, manual calculations, and evaluation interviews. The results of analysis shows that the building achieves a score of 14 out of the maximum score of 28 with a value of 50%. The building successfully fulfilled prerequisite criteria, CO2 levels, chemical pollutants, biological pollutants, visual comfort, views from the outside and sunlight, and user comfort. It is hoped that the research results can be proposed as the right strategy to improve indoor health and comfort conditions at the Tanjungpura University Library building.

Abstract

Changes in lifestyle with increasingly crowded routines make humans pay less attention to physical conditions that can cause stress. So that from this potential, the idea of planning a design that prioritizes "health” in tourism and "health" can also be found in beautiful views around the area. The location is located in Singkawang City, which is in the waterfront area (Palm Beach) Jl. Pasir Panjang Beach, Sedau Village, Singkawang Selatan District which is a tourism area, and the soil type is soft soil. The selection of the structure used applies a concrete pile foundation. Health resorts and spas located in the tropics use a design approach using tropical architecture to provide visitors with comfort. This effort is made by implementing placement and orientation facing the main view and spreading so that each building gets wind circulation and is supported by mass compositions and the use of local materials, the use of natural ventilation, skylights, and sun shading. Visitors consist of individuals, couples, families, and other general groups who do not stay overnight by providing lodging facilities that are not only for resting but have health service facilities (health resort) like resort standards, resort suite, and resort family suite, treatment facility (health spa), restaurants, and wedding venues. The design method consists of the stages of an idea, information, analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and optimization.

Abstract

North Kayong Regency is in the fishing area in WPP 711 which is the cumulative management area of the Karimata Strait, Natuna Sea and South China Sea areas, which allows this district to have large production potential in the fisheries sector. The potential of the fisheries sector in the large North Kayong Regency has not been fully utilized optimally due to the low availability of facilities and infrastructure for handling catches. As the capital of a district that has high potential for fish production, Sukadana does not yet have adequate catch handling facilities, so it is necessary to have facilities for fishermen and consumers, especially for the people of North Kayong Regency. The design of the Sukadana Clean Fish Market, Kayong Utara Regency aims to facilitate both in the food and economic sectors for the people of North Kayong Regency. The method used is the glass box method, which goes through several stages starting from collecting data related to fish market issues, identifying problems in the fish market, then obtaining theories related to clean fish markets as fish market standards based on relevant regulations, formulating design concepts, conducting analysis , then make pre-design drawings and technical drawings (DED). Through the design concept of a hygienic fish market in Sukadana District, Kayong Utara Regency, a fish market combines traditional market systems and modern markets which is presented in an open stall and a closed stall. The fish market with this concept was created by considering the needs and habits of the surrounding community which functions as a forum or place for buying and selling transactions as well as a place for processing fish and seafood.
