This journal was first published in 2020 and is periodically published twice per year in June and December. Since 2020 this journal has been online. Al Muawanah: Journal of Community Service is a communication medium used by researchers, lecturers, teachers, practitioners, and students to convey information or concepts and research results that have been achieved in the field of community service. All articles published by Al Muawanah Journal will have a unique DOI number. In 2022, Al Muawanah Journal will apply for accreditation to the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia to ensure that the authors have chosen the Al Muawanah Journal as a place to publish their community service articles. The focus of this journal is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by Pusat Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat - Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (LP2M) UIN Raden Intan Lampung. It is in the national level that covers a lot of common problems or issues related to community services. The aim of this journal publication is to disseminate the conceptual thoughts or ideas and research results that have been achieved in the area of community services. The Al Muawanah Journal aimed to gather information or concepts and the results of research that has been achieved in the field of community services. Al Muawanah Journal published the multi-disciplinary scope article, including Field of Community Studies, Technology Innovation for Village Communities, Village Community Development, Policy for Village Communities, Village government governance, and All fields related to Community Service.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana mahasiswa memaknai QS. al-Asr [103]:1–3 dalam konteks kesadaran eksistensial, khususnya terkait makna hidup dan tanggung jawab. Berangkat dari pendekatan Living qur’an, penelitian ini memfokuskan diri pada dimensi resepsi individual yang berlangsung melalui pengalaman batin, refleksi diri, dan dialog mahasiswa terhadap ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Metode penelitian menggunakan fenomenologi Husserl–Heidegger dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi fenomenologis di ruang kelas, dan analisis tematik untuk menata pola makna yang muncul dari pengalaman partisipan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa QS. al-Asr membangkitkan tiga bentuk kesadaran utama: (1) kesadaran waktu sebagai batas eksistensial yang menuntut orientasi hidup lebih terarah; (2) kesadaran tanggung jawab sebagai dorongan internal untuk memperbaiki perilaku akademik dan moral; dan (3) kesadaran reflektif yang memunculkan proses evaluasi diri dan pencarian keautentikan. Analisis fenomenologi mengungkap bahwa pemaknaan tersebut tidak berhenti pada tataran kognitif, tetapi membentuk transformasi kesadaran melalui gerak intentionalitas menuju pengalaman religius yang lebih mendalam. Penelitian ini berimplikasi pada pengembangan kajian Living qur’an berbasis pengalaman eksistensial, serta menawarkan pendekatan pedagogis baru bagi pendidikan tinggi yang menempatkan tadabbur sebagai proses pembentukan karakter. Sementara itu, keterbatasan penelitian terletak pada lingkup partisipan yang sempit dan fokus pada satu surah, sehingga penelitian lanjutan perlu melibatkan populasi lebih luas dan menggunakan ayat bernuansa eksistensial lainnya untuk memperkaya pemahaman resepsi mahasiswa terhadap Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Clean water is a vital resource that plays an essential role in maintaining human health and sustaining life. However, low awareness of wise water use remains a common problem, including among elementary school children. This community service program aimed to improve students’ knowledge, awareness, and water-saving behavior through a clean water education program. The activity was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Margadadi, South Lampung Regency, involving 60 students from grades III, IV, and V. The program was implemented using interactive counseling, educational media, educational games, and hands-on practice. Qualitative evaluation was carried out through observation, question-and-answer sessions, and simple quizzes administered before and after the activity. The results indicated an improvement in students’ understanding of the functions and benefits of water, sources of clean water, and water-saving behavior in daily life. The program proved effective in fostering environmental awareness from an early age and has the potential to contribute to sustainable water resource management in the long term.

Abstract

Classroom Action Research (CAR) is one of the strategic approaches to enhancing teachers' professionalism while continuously improving the quality of learning. However, many teachers still face challenges in understanding the concepts, designing, implementing, and writing research reports and scientific articles based on CAR. This community service program aimed to improve the competence of teachers at MTs Raudhatut Thullab, Siak Kecil District, Bengkalis Regency, in conducting Classroom Action Research. The methods employed included training sessions, discussions, brainstorming activities, case studies, mentoring, and self-directed learning through an electronic CAR module. The program was conducted over three days and involved 19 participants, of whom 17 actively participated in all activities. Evaluation was carried out through observation, discussions, and questionnaires to assess participants’ understanding and perceived benefits. The results indicated an improvement in teachers’ understanding of the principles and procedures of Classroom Action Research, increased awareness of CAR as a professional necessity, and enhanced motivation to innovate in teaching and scientifically document classroom practices. The attendance rate reached 90%, reflecting a high level of participant enthusiasm. Furthermore, participants reported that the training contributed to the enhancement of their pedagogical knowledge, problem-solving skills in learning processes, creativity, and professional competence. Nevertheless, time constraints, differences in participants’ abilities, and limited research experience remain challenges that require follow-up through continuous mentoring programs.
