Abstract

The web-based Rukun Tetangga (RT) / Rukun Warga (RW) Management Information System using the CodeIgniter 4 Framework is an application development project that aims to increase efficiency and effectiveness in managing population data and public services at the RW level. This application is designed to make it easier to submit letters online, as well as monitor the letter completion process. This application development adopts the Waterfall method to ensure structured and planned development. MySQL database is used as a data storage system. This website-based application was built using the PHP programming language and is supported by the CodeIgniter 4 Framework. With the implementation of this application, it is hoped that local communities can submit letters more easily, and monitoring the letter completion process will become more transparent. It is also hoped that this application can help improve the quality of public services at the RW level, provide easy access, and speed up the service process for residents.

Abstract

In today's digital era, the need for an employee management information system is increasingly urgent. Organizations must be able to overcome the complex challenges of managing their human resources to remain competitive in the ever-changing market. With the right Personnel Information System, organizations can optimize the management of personal, performance, and administrative information of their employees efficiently. One important aspect of a Personnel Information System is the mapping of workforce needs, which enables organizations to plan appropriate employee recruitment and development strategies. In addition, efficient scheduling is also a key focus, as proper placement and wise resource allocation can improve overall productivity. However, manually managing employee data is no longer sufficient in this digital age. Errors, delays, and loss of information often occur in manual processes, causing losses in terms of both time and finances. Therefore, the implementation of a robust and efficient Personnel Information System is a must. The Waterfall method, with its structured step-by-step approach, was able to provide clear guidance in the development of this system. A comprehensive analysis stage ensures that the needs of the organization are well understood, while the design stage guarantees that the system design meets the right specifications. With the results of this study, it is expected that organizations will be able to develop a Personnel Information System that suits their needs, improve the efficiency of human resource management, and optimize overall performance. Thus, the Personnel Information System is not only an administrative tool, but also one of the key factors in organizational success in this digital era.

Abstract

Occupational health and safety are of paramount importance in industrial environments and various work fields. In this context, tracking personal protective equipment (PPE) is highly necessary. This article investigates the performance and application of deep learning-based object detection models to enhance the accuracy and speed of tracking personal protective equipment for ensuring occupational health and safety. These models detect personal protective equipment in images, enabling monitoring of their correct usage and intervention when necessary. The study aims to minimize damage resulting from accidents through the use of protective equipment and to prevent possible accidents. In our study, a dataset consisting of 2581 images, encompassing different workplace environments and workers, was prepared. This dataset was evaluated for performance using deep learning models. Popular deep-learning models such as YOLO-NAS, YOLOv8, and YOLOv9 were utilized in the comparisons. During the training of the models, the number of epochs was kept consistent for fair comparison. Upon examining the results, it is observed that the YOLO-NAS and YOLOv9 models generally exhibit similar and high performance.

Abstract

In the current era, technology developments are very fast. Many businesses start to update their business processes by utilizing technology that can facilitate their organization's business processes. Penerbit Peneleh carry out sales activities for their published books. This research discusses the design and development of a Book Stock and Sales Information System at Penerbit Peneleh which can help them monitor book stock, record sales, and compile information about printing prices and selling prices of books efficiently. The development method used is the waterfall model with data collection through interviews with the organization. The result of this research is an Android application that is integrated with a barcode scanner and Google Books API which can help organizations run their business.

Abstract

This research applies feature engineering techniques and machine learning algorithms to predict property prices using a dataset from Kaggle. Three models were implemented: Linear Regression, Decision Tree, and Random Forest. The Random Forest model demonstrated the best performance with an average Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 16472.76, Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 457407807.78, and R-squared (R²) of 0.83. Key features influencing property prices were identified through feature importance analysis, providing valuable insights for enhancing property appraisals and investment decisions.

Abstract

In the present digital era, there has been a transformation in banking practices, moving away from traditional services towards those rooted in technology. Mobile Banking has become the primary means for users to conduct banking transactions. However, despite its prevalence, there are complexities in its usage that can affect user experience. This study proposes an analysis using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), specifically the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), to identify factors influencing the adoption of technology in BCA Mobile Banking. These factors include system complexity, lack of feature understanding, interface design issues in the application, and social barriers encountered during Mobile Banking usage. Through this study, it is anticipated that key factors affecting the adoption of Mobile Banking technology can be identified, enabling stakeholders to utilize this research as an assessment tool to enhance user experience and the efficiency of technology-based banking services.

Abstract

Managing academic information in educational institutions often faces challenges that require high efficiency. Manual processes in collecting and managing academic data can lead to complexity and errors. Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur’an (TPA) Mesjid Al-Jama’ah in Padang experiences similar issues, particularly in managing registration, attendance, grades, and tuition payments. This research aims to develop an Academic Information System based on Laravel for TPA Mesjid Al-Jama’ah, encompassing four user levels: admin, prospective students, students, and teachers. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology is used in system development, involving stages such as requirements determination, prototyping, development and feedback collection, and product implementation and finalization. The system is built using UML, PHP, Laravel, and MySQL to ensure data is well-organized and free from redundancy. The implementation results indicate that this system facilitates online registration and data management, and helps teachers input grades and attendance efficiently. It is recommended that the system be further developed to include TPA financial management and add features for printing summaries and exporting data to Excel, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of information management at TPA Mesjid Al-Jama’ah.

Abstract

Braille letters are used as a written language for people with visual impairments. To this day, Braille letters are used in in inclusive schools where they are taught to disabled students. However, there are physical capability barriers faced by teachers when correcting Braille answer sheets written by visually impaired students. The ability to read Braille letters is also important for family members to support the students' learning process. This research’s purpose was to create a system that can transliterate Braille letters into the Latin alphabet using deep learning methods. The proposed deep learning methods include Base Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), ResNet50, VGG-16, and Inception-v3. The Braille Character image dataset used consists of 12,641 data divided into 37 classes from the AEyeAlliance repository. The Base CNN model used achieved 98% training accuracy, 99% validation accuracy, and 99.1% testing accuracy.

Abstract

The rapid development and widespread use of internet-based technology have changed the research landscape. In line with these developments, Facebook has become a new avenue in research. This paper discusses, firstly, how Facebook can be utilized and, secondly, the complexities and practicalities of using this platform when conducting qualitative research. Utilizing Facebook in qualitative research is challenging due to the vast amount of data it contains and the ethical issues involved. However, understanding the features of Facebook and the involvement of gatekeepers may facilitate the research process. Facebook has become a viable tool in qualitative research for collecting data and recruiting participants. However, a strategy is required to facilitate the research process. Using Facebook in research can be a powerful tool but researchers should use it with caution and thoroughly evaluate the implications for practice before doing so.

Abstract

Study Program Accreditation is an effort to improve the quality of higher education institution services can be realized by building an information system and quality culture. This study was carried out to create an information system that is able to accommodate accreditation documentation and reporting in the Information Technology Department and analyzing usability testing with the system usability scale (SUS) and user interviews. The research results show that the average SUS score is 65. This score shows that users can accept information systems based on aspects of their usability. However, improving the quality of the application is still necessary, because the usability score also shows that the quality of the application is still at level D. Evaluation to improve application quality can begin by improving aspects of errors and satisfaction in the information system.
