Abstract

As a country with abundant natural resources in the form of mineral and non-mineral products, Indonesia is characterized by its ability to fulfill domestic and foreign needs through export activities categorized into two commodities: oil and gas and non-oil and gas. Export activities are an indicator of the country's economic growth that often fluctuates in value, and these conditions are fundamentally caused by a decrease in production quantity and the instability of the global economic climate. The strategy to overcome these problems is to create a forecasting model. This research aims to develop a forecasting model using time series analysis methods, including vector autoregressive (VAR) and long short-term memory (LSTM) methods based on oil and non-oil and gas value parameters. The results of the Granger causality test stated that the values of oil and gas and non-oil and gas affect each other. The VAR model with the optimum lag produced by the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) test obtained an accuracy value of MAPE oil & gas and non-oil and gas of 18.4% and 32.1%, respectively. LSTM generates the best model with a MAPE value of 6,23% for oil & gas and 8,18% for non-oil and gas.

Abstract

The global community has been significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of health, education, the economy, social matters, and culture. Digital devices are increasingly being used for entertainment to combat boredom amidst restrictions on physical activity. However, this behaviour can also reduce adherence to health protocols, which can lead to high cases of COVID-19. Education about viruses is increasingly emphasized, especially for adolescents, who are a key group in preventing the spread of viral infections. Consequently, the media is required to introduce the different kinds of viruses and their survival strategies. This study aims to create an RPG-based "V-Fight" game application for virus types' exposure among teens. The research used a software development methodology that applied the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), which consists of Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing, and Distribution. The validation test conducted on 35 respondents obtained a validity level of 76.38%. This indicates that the tested game has sufficient criteria to be considered a practical learning tool.

Abstract

The low interest in reading in Indonesia is due to several inhibiting factors. One of the biggest obstacles is the limited access to libraries, books, and other literacy resources. Therefore, the National Library has made efforts to develop digital library services, namely iPusnas. However, this digital transformation does not always run smoothly. Some users have reported that the iPusnas app interface is considered too old-fashioned, boring, and confusing. Some users also complained about the lack of sort and filter features, book grouping, and so on. Therefore, a redesign is needed. This study uses the User-Centered Design (UCD) method to identify all user needs and issues and to create a solution for the iPusnas interface. Through two iterations of testing, the results of the first iteration showed a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 82.72 out of 100 and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 55.56 out of 100. The second iteration showed a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 86.27 out of 100 and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 73.33 out of 100. Overall, the evaluation results improved and met user needs.

Abstract

In today's digital era, the need for an employee management information system is increasingly urgent. Organizations must be able to overcome the complex challenges of managing their human resources to remain competitive in the ever-changing market. With the right Personnel Information System, organizations can optimize the management of personal, performance, and administrative information of their employees efficiently. One important aspect of a Personnel Information System is the mapping of workforce needs, which enables organizations to plan appropriate employee recruitment and development strategies. In addition, efficient scheduling is also a key focus, as proper placement and wise resource allocation can improve overall productivity. However, manually managing employee data is no longer sufficient in this digital age. Errors, delays, and loss of information often occur in manual processes, causing losses in terms of both time and finances. Therefore, the implementation of a robust and efficient Personnel Information System is a must. The Waterfall method, with its structured step-by-step approach, was able to provide clear guidance in the development of this system. A comprehensive analysis stage ensures that the needs of the organization are well understood, while the design stage guarantees that the system design meets the right specifications. With the results of this study, it is expected that organizations will be able to develop a Personnel Information System that suits their needs, improve the efficiency of human resource management, and optimize overall performance. Thus, the Personnel Information System is not only an administrative tool, but also one of the key factors in organizational success in this digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and enhance the productivity of the medicinal spice supply chain at Griya Nature Online Store through a dynamic systems approach. Medicinal spices are a prominent commodity of Indonesia with significant potential in international markets, as well as the pharmaceutical and traditional beverage industries. This research analyzes factors affecting the supply chain's productivity, both internal (consumer demand, herbal medicine sales, store profits) and external (urban expansion, land clearing, climate, production disruptions). The research methodology includes data collection through interviews and analysis of relevant variables. A causal model was developed using Causal Loop Diagrams (CLD) and mathematical models with Stock and Flow diagrams simulated using Vensim software. Simulation results indicate that productivity improvement can be achieved through optimal management of these factors. Model verification and validation ensure accurate representation of the real system, allowing the model to be used to simulate policy scenarios aimed at increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of supply chain management. This study provides valuable insights for industries and SMEs involved in the production and marketing of medicinal spices. Through the dynamic systems approach, supply chain obstacles can be identified and addressed, improving productivity and product distribution optimization. The results of this research are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of the medicinal spice industry in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the increase in transportation volume in Surabaya City using a dynamic system approach. A dynamic system is a modeling method used to understand and simulate the interactions between various components within the city's transportation system. These components include population growth, the increase in motor vehicles, road infrastructure, and existing government policies. In this study, the dynamic system is employed to model various scenarios of transportation growth. Computer simulations enable researchers to explore the impact of each scenario on different aspects such as traffic congestion, air pollution, and the quality of life of the residents. The simulation results indicate that without appropriate interventions, the increase in transportation volume will continue to rise along with population growth. This has the potential to worsen traffic conditions, increase air pollution emissions, and decrease the quality of life for residents in Surabaya City. This study also provides several policy recommendations that can be implemented by the Surabaya City government to manage transportation growth more sustainably. These recommendations include the development of more efficient and environmentally friendly public transportation, the improvement of road infrastructure quality, and the implementation of more effective traffic control policies. By adopting these policies, it is hoped that transportation growth can be better managed, minimizing its negative impacts on the environment and the community
