Pandemi COVID-19 bukan hanya berdampak pada dunia ekonomi, namun juga menimbulkan tantangan bagi dunia pendidikan. Dampak pandemi telah membawa pengaruh terhadap proses pembelajaran secara tatap muka (konvensional). Fokus penelitian ini adalah penyelenggaraan pembelajaran Perguruan Tinggi Swasta pada masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu mengumpulkan data dari sumber-sumber yang relevan, baik dari buku maupun artikel pada jurnal online. The focus of this study is to measure the effect of human resource management practice in the employees of hotel sector in Batam City. Samples were taken from 299 hotel employees of 5 a four-star hotel in the district of Batu Ampar. The Research data that has been collected is analyzed using Partial Least Squares Path Modelling (PLS-SEM) program version 3. Results from this study showed first, recruitment has a significant effect on employee performance. Second, the selection has a significant effect on employee performance. Third, the training doesn’t have a significant effect on employee performance. Fourth, compensation doesn’t have a significant effect on employee performance.              Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengungkapkan pengaruh kepemimpinan dan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja guru dengan motivasi sebagai variabel intervening pada SMA Sutomo 1 Medan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan kepemimpinan, komitmen organisasi dan motivasi mempengaruhi kinerja guru pada SMA Sutomo 1 Medan dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 63,1%. Secara parsial,kepemimpinan berpengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap kinerja guru; komitmen organisasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru;motivasi memiliki peran sebagai variabel intervening antara kepemimpinan dan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja guru pada SMA Sutomo 1 Medan.Kualitas kepemimpinan SMA Sutomo 1 Medan harus lebih baik dalam memecahkan masalah dan mengambil keputusan dengan cepat dalam memimpin.Pemimpin harus lebih memperhatikan kebutuhan dan kesejahteraan guru, sehingga motivasi guru dapat ditingkatkan sehingga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kinerja guru SMA Sutomo 1 Medan. Keywords :Kepemimpinan, Komitmen Organisasi, Motivasi, Kinerja Guru

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari variabel brand image, brand awareness, perceived quality dan brand loyalty terhadap brand equity pada pemilik mobil di Batam.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode survei melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada 400 responden yang merupakan pemilik mobil di Batam. Setelah kuesioner disebarkan dan dikumpulkan kembali oleh penulis, berhasil didapatkan 386 kuesioner yang diisi dengan lengkap sehingga bisa dilakukan pengujian data regresi oleh penulis dengan menggunakan program PLS. Dari hasil pengolahan data dengan PLS diketahui bahwa terdapat hubungan antara semua variabel yang diteliti.Hasil penelitian ini menekankan tentang pentingnya bagi perusahaan produsen maupun dealer penjualan mobil untuk memberikan perhatian yang lebih besar pada variabel yang diteliti diatas. Karena semua variabel tersebut diatas berhubungan erat dengan ekuitas merek, sehingga bila perusahaan ingin meningkatkan kinerja karyawannya maka hal tersbut diatas harus ditingkatkan dan diperbaiki.

The purpose of this study is to analyse financial planning on the financial behaviour of household. Research method is using library research. From the discussion, it can be concluded that financial planning is the tool for the financial decision making for family. Financial planning is the process where someone can fulfil the requirement of daily life. It will be done by doing or implementing according to the planning process that he understand. Financial planning is very important to make sure that the life will be better for the people.  Household financial behaviour is important to wealth building. Ignorance of financial concepts involves great uncertainty about the future. Financial planning has positive effects to financial behaviour of household entities. The focus of this study is to analyzethe and knowing leadership, work condition, compensation,   conflict of work life affecting employees performance in four star hotels in the city of Batam. The importance of a 4-star hotel for attention to the factors that affect the employee performance that may be good or bad for the hotel. sample were taken from 200 employees from pacific palace hotel, Allium Panorama hotel, Planet holiday hotel, and Novotel hotel is the spread in the city of Batam. The research data that has been collected and analyzed using the program statistical package for social sciences (IBM-SPSS) version 21. Results from this study showed a significant effect of independent on the dependent variable. First, leadership has a significant effect on job performance. Second, the work condition has a significant effect on job performance. Third, the compensation has a significant effect on job performance. Marriott Cafe is a part of JW Marriott Hotel Medan which is the first and only International five-star luxury hotel in Medan and is managed by Marriott International. As the brand holds: service excellence is one of the most vital factors to the hotel’s success, it gradually trains its entire staff to ensure a high level of service is received by all guests.Based on the theory and the experience of the writer duringinternship at the company, the intention of this research is to find out about “The Influence of Motivation on Employee Performance at Marriott Cafe in Medanâ€. The main purpose of this research is to find out whether motivation influences employee performance.The quantitative research method with descriptive approachis used in this research to describe the current condition at the research objectby using online questionnaire with interval scale to develop a hypothesis. The number of samplesis from the population, 46 people. However, due to the limited time and condition faced recently, the returned number of questionnaire data is 38 people.The result of this research shows that motivation has 48.6%influence on employee performance. The remaining 51.4% is affected by other variables outside this research. The result of the hypothesis with t-test proved that the null hypothesis is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis is accepted which means that there is a relationship between motivation and employee performance.In conclusion, motivation and employee performance have a strong correlation and motivation positively and significantly influences employee performance. This research is useful for the company to have an insight into the subject discussed, and further research is required.Keywords: Hospitality Management, Motivation, Employee Performance

Penelitian ini menguji potensi tindakan whistleblowing oleh karyawan dalam kondisi kejujuran dan tekanan ketaatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metoda eksperimental 2x2x2 antar-subjek dengan melibatkan 112 mahasiswa S1 Akuntansi Universitas Pelita Harapan Medan sebagai penyulih karyawan divisi pembelian yang mendapatkan tugas untuk menyusun laporan rencana pembelian material. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa munculnya perilaku jujur dari subyek dengan membeberkan adanya tindak kecurangan atas laporan rencana pembeliannya kepada pihak yang memiliki otoritas lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan pelaku kecurangan. Selain itu bentuk komunikasi yang memberikan kesempatan bagi akuntan untuk membeberkan kecurangan secara faktual dan tekanan yang rendah dari pihak berotoritas lebih tinggi mendukung akuntan untuk melakukan whistleblowing.Â

The purpose of this research was to find out and study the online buying behavior influenced by advertising or endorsement of celebrities in social media trading. Online purchase intentions were in Batam influenced by celebrity endorsement advertisements using variable trust in online shopping, convenience of online shopping, customer services offered by online shopping and subjective norm as independent variables, attitude towards online shopping as intervening variables, intention to shop online as dependent variable.There were 400 sample respondents used in this study obtained from students and residents in Batam using the selection of purposive sampling method and the data collected is processed using a partial least square (PLS) program.The results of this study explain that online shopping intentions are influenced by endorsement advertising through social media, the variable trust in online shopping has significant effect on intention to shop online. Trust in online shopping has a significant effect on attitude towards online. Convenience of online shopping has a significant effect on attitude towards online. The dependent variable intention to shop online and convenience of online shopping have significant effect on intention to shop online. Customer services of offered by online shopping has significant effect on intention to shop online. Customer services of offered online shopping have significant effect on attitude towards online. Independent variable intention to shop online, attitude towards online shopping have no significant effect on intention to shop online and lastly subjective norm has no effect on intention to shop online.Keywords:Endorsement, Intention To Shop Online

The telecommunications services business has experienced rapid growth from year to year, this has encouraged cellular operators to launch various service package product programs. The number of service packages offered is sometimes quite confusing consumers, thus encouraging consumers to compare services offered for get the most profitable service. The phenomenon encourages this research which aims to analyze the factors that influence purchase intention cellular operator service products. Factors analyzed include product perceived quality, customer satisfaction, online advertising and e-wom. This study uses sample of 250 respondents who use cellular operator services. The statistical method used in analyzing data is a multiple regression model. The research data that has been collected is tested using the SPSS program. Hypothesis test results show product perceived quality, customer satisfaction, online advertising and e-wom simultaneously affect the purchase intention of cellular service products. Partially, only product perceived quality and customer satisfaction have significant positive effect on the intention to purchase cellular service products. In order for consumers' intention to buy service products to increase, telecommunication service providers need to improve the quality of products that consumers feel by providing a type of value-added services and increasing consumer satisfaction by expanding the type of service.Keywords:product perceived quality, customer satisfaction, online advertising, e-wom, purchase intention
