Abstract

This research have purpose to  explaining about  siriq’ s culture that is figured in  novel Island and  explaining  relevance between author background with cultural siriq  that  available in  novel. This Analisis used review of genetic structuralism. Method that used is qualitative descriptive method, method that emphasize to result through interpretation. The result of observation is showed to that structure of novel Pulau having homology’s relationship with opinion social world of authors. Structure Pulau created by author as an expression as view world of author to siriq’s culture of south sulawesi to responds of problem siriq at south Sulawesi. Changing concept of this siriq as  structuralism and modification of author in terms globalization influence. The world views expects to balance among siriq values with humanitarianism value which rational, morality, and responsibility.

Abstract

This article aims to describe and reveal a grain of Biak language lexicon based on semantic features different from the features of the other features. In semantics, a lexicon form fields can be described completely meaning to get the features behind it. This study will describe the meaning of Un ‘take’ in the language of Biak - Papua packaging metalanguage natural semantics of theory (MSA). MSA theory is designed to mengeksplikasikan all meaning, either lexical meaning, grammatical meaning, and illocutionary. Natural conditions of a language can be able to maintain a form of meaning and one meaning for one form. Results of this study indicate that the basic meaning of Un ‘take’ in Biak has eleven sub-type of meaning.

Abstract

This paper aims to know code choosing of Javanese-Indonesian for the family domain of Javanese native speaker at Karang Malang. Secondly, it is also purposes to analyze the impact of age on language choosing. This is a sociolinguistic research by quantitative method.There was a finding that the younger respondents tend to speak Indonesian more often. Thus, it is an indication of language infiltration from Indonesian to Javanese. The age factor on language choosing is supported by Analyzed of Variant .

Abstract

This study about aspect of narrative structure, enviroment languages aspect, aspect and body or racial which contains in novel “Bayangan Memudar: Kehidupan Sebuah Keluarga Indo by E. Breton de Nijs “. Theory is used in this study is post colonial theory that load  the culture of Europe colonial that ever abode in  Indonesia. The purpose of this study  is give visible image of eurasian family life in literary works. Result of this study is found narrative structure, enviroment languages aspect that mention Hindia’s location, this aspect include which extend and narrow scope. Narrating viewpoint is single first person. Besides, it is found sense racial aspect.

Abstract

Namla language is a finding of Tim Pemetaan dan Kekerabatan Bahasa-Bahasa Daerah. Namla language found in Namla Villages, Senggi District, Keerom Regency of Papua Province. Numeral is a word or phrase which can show not only number or quantity but also the amount of things or the order in a row. This research used descriptive method by doing in three phases, there are data collecting, analyzing data, and presenting the result of analyzing data. Analyzing data by distributional method is conducted after the selected data was classified. Namla language has fine kinds of numeral, namely cardinal number, ordinal number, collective cardinal number, undefinite cardinal number, and distributive number. In Namla language, the numeral always be after a noun in a phrase.

Abstract

Dou Sandik tradition of Biak Numfor speech community (GTBN), Papua is the integration of speech language packed with slick as a form of expression of the human soul to God and His work of creation. What is presented through a cycle Dou Sandik tradition of cosmic life and death. Dou sandik tradition ogled as the strengthening of media characters, namely: (1) as a product and practice of GTBN describing his view of self, nature (the world), and God, (2) as a form of interaction with God langue and parole, (3) as pockets of cultural values   that precipitate narrative meaning and function of language, and (4) as a medium that can enclose an entity (outward unity) on the expression of life with respect to the portion crophos and religious content. As a reflection of identity, tradition is an attempt Dou Sandik disclosure of ideas, ideas, and the contents of the mind, as well as to reflect the reality of the experience of his successor. This tradition is seen in the structure involving the roles of the process, participants traditions, circumstances, prosesif, stative, active, kala, workshops, and how. Tradition is also used to build and maintain social relationships, to express social roles and communication roles created by Dou Sandik speech itself.

Abstract

This paper discusses about Papuan Malay Dialect, one of the variant of Malay language used in Papua. It aims to recognize the origin of this dialect, when it is started to use and about its spread around. Method which is used in this paper is literature review and the result shows us that this dialect is a variant of Malay language which comes from West Kalimantan. This variant spread out in Papua region about VII century A.D. It is spread out by three mutually complement courses, namely, missionary, trade, and political courses. Missionary course occurs when Islam and Christian started to be spread out in Papua. Trade course occurs through trading contact between Malay speaker and Papuan indigenous people. And then political course occurs through political contact between authority in Papua and another one, either in Nusantara (Indonesia) or abroad.

Abstract

The goals of this research is to take apart the meaning and writer’s ideology by “Minah Tetap Dipancung” poem. It do by seeing the relationship between the text and social context in critism paradigm. It focuses to object position, the point of subject view and how the text to perform writer and readers position. The result of this research is find biner position of characters in the poem. The readers position is to give the meaning, enjoyer, and writer helper to effort his ideology.

Abstract

This research entitle Character Values in Cerita Rakyat Yonokhong (Kwadeware) Distrik Waibu Kabupaten Jayapura. The  purpose  of  this  research  was  to  describe  and explain  the  characters  values  contained  in the Cerita Rakyat Yonokhong (Kwadeware) Distrik Waibu Kabupaten Jayapura. The character values described and explained include: carefully, never give up, be responsible, wise, brave to admit mistakes, assertive, polite, sincere, love of country, working together, brave, affectionate, obedient, alert, smart, honest, united, independent, strong, believe in supernatural powers, meticulous, and rely on supernatural powers.  This research used a  qualitative descriptive  approach. The data in this research are the values  of characters that comes from Cerita Rakyat Yonokhong (Kwadeware).

Abstract

Namla language is one of many languages in Papua which has a small number of native speakers. This language is spoken by Namla tribe, in Namla village, Senggi District, Keerom, Papua. Namla language has several word classes, like most other languages around the world. One of this class is adjective. In this article, adjective in Namla based upon the same word class in Bahasa Indonesia from its semantically behavior. There are two main types of adjective, there are, stratified adjective and non-stratified adjective. stratified adjective states a quality of noun, consist of (1) adjective of characteristic, (2) adjective of size, (3) adjective of colour, (4) adjective of time/age, (5) adjective of distance, (6) adjective of emotions, and (7) adjective of senses/touches. Non-stratified adjective states a membership of a noun in a group.
