Abstract

This research have purpose to  explaining about  siriq’ s culture that is figured in  novel Island and  explaining  relevance between author background with cultural siriq  that  available in  novel. This Analisis used review of genetic structuralism. Method that used is qualitative descriptive method, method that emphasize to result through interpretation. The result of observation is showed to that structure of novel Pulau having homology’s relationship with opinion social world of authors. Structure Pulau created by author as an expression as view world of author to siriq’s culture of south sulawesi to responds of problem siriq at south Sulawesi. Changing concept of this siriq as  structuralism and modification of author in terms globalization influence. The world views expects to balance among siriq values with humanitarianism value which rational, morality, and responsibility.

Abstract

This training aims to enhance the capabilities of elementary, middle, and high school teachers in Gowa Regency in implementing Indonesian Language and Literature teaching models aligned with the National Curriculum. The problem addressed is the lack of understanding and skills among teachers in applying effective teaching methods that meet curriculum standards. Organized by the Department of Indonesian Literature, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, this training program utilizes a participatory approach involving group discussions, simulations, and teaching practice evaluations. The training results show an improvement in teachers' understanding and ability to design and manage learning processes that meet students' needs and curriculum demands. The positive impact of the program is evident in the increased confidence of teachers in their teaching practices. In conclusion, this training is essential for supporting the quality of Indonesian Language and Literature education in schools and strengthening the effective implementation of the National Curriculum

Abstract

Politeness in language and appreciation of literature are important aspects in the formation of the character of the younger generation, especially in the era of globalization that is vulnerable to the degradation of cultural values. This community service aims to increase the awareness of students of SMA Negeri 3 Gowa Regency of the importance of polite speech and understanding of cultural values ​​through literary works. The methods used include interactive training, group discussions, and analysis of literary texts based on local wisdom. The results show a significant increase in students' ability to appreciate literature and the application of politeness in language in everyday interactions. This activity proves that the literary and cultural approach is effective in instilling noble values ​​in the younger generation. Thus, this program is not only relevant for character education but also supports the preservation of local culture among students.

Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan guru di SMA Negeri 8 Bulukumba dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran Jigsaw pada pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia sesuai Kurikulum Nasional. Masalah yang dihadapi adalah rendahnya partisipasi siswa dan dominasi metode ceramah, sehingga keterampilan kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan berpikir kritis siswa belum optimal. Program pelatihan ini disusun oleh Departemen Sastra Indonesia, Fakultas Ilmu Budaya, Universitas Hasanuddin, dengan pendekatan partisipatif melalui ceramah, diskusi kelompok, simulasi Jigsaw, refleksi, dan peer review. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep Jigsaw, kemampuan membagi tugas, mengelola kelompok belajar, serta kepercayaan diri guru dalam menerapkan metode secara mandiri. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan waktu dan sebagian siswa masih pasif, pelatihan terbukti mampu meningkatkan pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif, membangun budaya kolaboratif, serta memberikan dampak positif pada motivasi, partisipasi, dan keterampilan komunikasi siswa. Pelatihan ini menegaskan efektivitas pendekatan praktis dan partisipatif dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru dan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa dan Sastra
