Abstract

Globally WHO reports more than 1.5 million adolescents and young adults aged 10–24 die nearly 5,000 every day. Half of all causes of death caused by physical and mental health disorders are reported to occur since they were 14 years old. Comprehensive sexual education (CSE) plays a central role in preparing young people for a safe life. The purpose of this study is to provide a reproductive health education program to increase knowledge about good and correct reproductive health for SMAIT Al Hidayah Mancak students. This study is a type of intervention research with experimental quasy design. The location used for this research is at Al-Hidayah IT High School in Winong village, Mancak District, Serang Regency-Banten 2023. This study was conducted in March or April 2023. The research sample was 80 students. The bivariate analysis used in this study was the Chi-Square test. Based on the chi square test obtained results (OR 3.32; 95%CI: 1.19 – 9.24; p value: 0.029) There was a statistically significant difference in students' knowledge before and after counseling. The odds ratio (OR) value is 3.32 this result can be interpreted that the provision of health counseling can increase students' knowledge about adolescent reproductive health up to 3 times.

Abstract

Infertility has become a global concern, not least in Indonesia, where the number continues to increase. Infertility will have a negative impact on society, especially in Indonesia, namely in addition to social and family problems that arise due to infertility, there is a problem that has become the main focus of several researchers in the world, namely decreased sexual satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of age, body mass index, occupation, and menstrual cycle factors on the incidence of primary and secondary infertility. The design of this study is Case-Control. The location used for research in the working area of the Pabuaran Health Center from May to June 2023. The samples used for the case were 15 infertile pairs and 30 for control so that a total of 45 samples, the sampling technique used was total sampling. The multivariate analysis used in this study was multiple logistic regressions. Obesity increased the incidence of infertility up to 2 times and was statistically significant (aOR: 2.34; 95%CI 1.75 - 61.45; p value 0.010) and abnormal menstrual cycles increased the risk of infertile events by 1.8 times and were statistically significant (aOR: 1.85; 95%CI 0.95 - 42.25; p value 0.046).

Abstract

Pregnant women are at risk for COVID-19 or other infectious diseases. Research reports that COVID infection in pregnant women has a mortality prevalence of up to 3%. Given the seriousness of this disease, high and evenly distributed vaccination coverage throughout the region is imperative in order to form herd immunity. The purpose of this study was to determine the reasons for refusal and acceptance of COVID-19 vaccination in pregnant women. This research is a qualitative analytical research using a phenomenological study approach. This research was conducted by Lebak Wangi Health Center, Serang City in May 2023. The total author used 8 respondents consisting of: 2 pregnant women who had been vaccinated, 4 pregnant women who refused to be vaccinated, and 2 triangulators. Data validity will use triangulation and peer debriefing methods. Behavioral belief in pregnant women who receive vaccinations is to have the right information. Meanwhile, respondents who refuse vaccination are believing false information (hoaxes) about vaccines. The subjective norm held by respondents to refuse vaccines is an order from the husband or parents. The reasons cited for control belief include seeing their child sick when vaccinated or seeing family members, neighbors and close associates who report vaccine side effects such as fever, dizziness, and mild flu.

Abstract

In improving the quality of maternal and child health services and preventing maternal deaths, community roles are needed, one of which is carried out through the implementation of the Childbirth Planning and Prevention of Complications (P4K) Program. However, there are still many pregnant women who eventually give birth in a shamans (dukun beranak or paraji)even though they have been affixed with a P4K sticker. Based on this phenomenon, this qualitative research was made with the aim of exploring people's perceptions of P4K and the reasons they still give birth in shamans using a grand theory, namely the theory of planned behavior. This research is qualitative research. The research was conducted in the working area of the Lebak Wangi Health Center in Serang City from May to June 2023. This qualitative research uses a grand theory in the form of a theory of planned behavior. The sample or respondents of this study were mothers who had P4K stickers at home but gave birth in paraji shamans as many as 5 people and 2 triangulators in this study were midwives. Data was collected by in-depth interviews. The analysis will be presented qualitatively with validity using peer triangulators. The informant's behavioral belief was that if the birth in a quack would be normal whereas if in a midwife there was a possibility of surgery or being referred to a hospital and patients were afraid so they ignored information related to P4K. Subjective norms are formed because of believing in shamans or their parents, having family ties or misinformation regarding preparation for childbirth, especially all information for P4K. In this study, the strongest reason related to control belief was the experience of having given birth normally without having to prepare what was mentioned in P4K.

Abstract

Labiospalatoskizis is caused by failure in the process of joining the lips while still in the fetus. This disorder can cause many disorders such as disorders such as eating disorders, speech disorders, ear irritation, and dental and oral disorders. Many factors can cause this disorder, namely exposure to cigarette smoke and metal exposure during pregnancy. The purpose of this meta-analysis was to analyze the effect of cigarette smoke exposure and metal exposure on labiospalatoskizis events. This study was conducted by systematic review and meta-analysis. Research data is sought from several indexing including: PubMed, Science Direct, Web of Science, Springer Link and Cochrane Database. By using the search keywords "smoking AND Orofacial Clefts", "heavy metal AND labiospalatoschizis", "smoke AND metal exposure AND cleft lift AND adjusted odds ratio", and "factors AND labiospalatoskizis AND adjusted odds ratio". There were 6 articles with 2 analysis results, namely: heavy metal exposure (OR: 3.18; 95% CI: 2.45 – 4.12; p value <0.001) and secondhand smoke exposure (OR: 5.40; 95% CI: 4.26 – 6.86; p value <0.001).

Abstract

The behavior of Indonesian adolescents in free sex freedom from year to year has not decreased, even increasing. Casual sex can increase the rate of unwanted pregnancies and abortions. The purpose of this study was to qualitatively analyze the experience of deviant reproductive health behavior in adolescents based on the theory of planned behavior. This research is a qualitative analysis using the theory of planned behavior approach. This research will be conducted in the lebak wangi area of Serang City in May – June 2023. Data collection was conducted using in-depth interviews and interview guidelines. In testing the validity of the data, researchers use the triangulation method (triangulaton). There are 4 main informants, 2 triangulators, and 4 supporting informants. Results: (1) Background factors that have a role to form behavioral beliefs include beliefs in consensual feelings and mutual desire to have free sex between men and women. (2) Subjective norms are formed because some couples want to follow in the footsteps of friends who have already had free sex or are exposed from people closest to them who do have partners who are not halal to have sex with (cheating). (3) Control belief is the experience of peers or personal experiences of having kissed or had such relationships before.

Abstract

In the last decade the government has insisted that every delivery be assisted by health workers in order to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality. However, there are still many maternity mothers who prefer dukun paraji (shamans to help give birth). One factor is concerns about the cost and ownership of national health insurance. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between ownership of national health insurance and childbirth by dukun paraji. This type of research is case-control. The research location is in the working area of the Waringin Kurung Serang Health Center - Banten in June 2023. The study sample was 50 samples of respondents divided into 25 cases of childbirth in dukun paraji and 25 deliveries in health workers. The data collected is data tracing medical records and village midwives' reports on birth attendants from May 2022 to May 2023. The bivariate analysis used is the Chi-Square test. There was a significant relationship between the ownership of national health insurance and childbirth in dukun paraji, the results of the chi-square analysis resulted in odds ratio values (OR: 8.14; 95% Confident Interval 2.29 – 28.90; p value 0.002).
