Abstract

The objective of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of using English song in students’ pronunciation skill. This research was conducted to the second grade students of SMP Al Washliyah 27 Medan in academic year 2020/2021. In this research, a pre-experimental design was used by the writer which two classes and the total number of students 60. Sample of this research consisted of two classes. The sample was devided into two groups, the first group is 30 students (Grade VII A) which is the experimental group and the second group is 30 students (Grade VII B) which is control group. The experimental group was taught by using English song while the control group was taught without using English song. The writer used the instrument for collectingthe data was oral test. The result of the analysis showed that the t-observed (2.35), it was higher than the t-table (2.00) with the level of significant (0.05) and the degree of freedom (df) (58). In conclusion, the effectiveness of the use English song is very strong to improve the students’ pronunciation skill.

Abstract

Based on research data at SD Negeri 066668 Medan Johor found problems in the form of the learning process still on going classically, namely the use of lecture discussion methods, group work and question and answer so that in tends to be boring and less motivating for students in learning. Learning materials. Many students do not like to write and do not like to read long, convoluted sentences, so that when in class students only write modestly but they do not study it at home. The formulation of the research problem is how to develop videoscribe based animation video media in social studies learning material on ethnic and cultural diversity for class IV SD Negeri 066668 Medan Johor. This study aims to studies learning maten Ethnic and cultural diversity class IV SD Negeri 066668 Medan Johor this type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the Borg & Gall model which was adapted by Sugiyono using 5 steps, namely: (1) potential and problems, (2) data collection; (3) product design, (4) design validation, (5) design revision. The data collection techniques used are questionnaire validation, teacher validation. Materian experts and media experts. Data analysis techniques use product data analysis in the form of media feasibility analysis and teacher response analysis. In social studies learning material on cultural diversity in Indonesia. Suggestions for further research can apply the development of animated video learning media assisted by Sparkol videoscribe in other subjects by improving the appearance of the design to make if more effective and efficient.

Abstract

The background of this research is the difficulty of Class XI students of SMA Istiqlal Deli Tua in writing procedure texts. Students feel that writing procedure text is a difficult activity because students are not skilled and do not have ideas to pour, then imagine into a written form. And also caused by teachers who are less creative in utilizing media or learning models. So that learning becomes passive and boring. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the blended learning model in writing procedural texts for class XI students of SMA Istiqlal Deli Tua in the 2021-2022 academic year. The method in this research is a quasi-experimental/quasi-experiment to see the effect of a treatment. The population in this study were Istiqlal Deli Tua high school students, totaling 148 students with a total of 5 classes. The sample of this study was taken in class XI IPS1 which amounted to 25 people. Based on the results of research conducted that learning to write procedure text using the blended learning learning model is more successful than without using the learning model. The conclusion obtained from this study is that student learning outcomes before using the blended learning learning model obtained an average score of 59.8 and student learning outcomes using the blended learning learning model obtained an average score of 81.2. the percentage of the influence of learning using the blended learning learning model on writing procedure texts is 90%. This means that the students of class XI SMA Istiqlal Deli Tua in the 2021-2022 academic year are able to write procedure texts using the blended learning model, which are declared correct and acceptable.

Abstract

Public speaking is became one of the goals of Indonesia’s teaching and learning. The students are expected to master verbal and non-verbal communication of public speaking skill to make them able to speak well but the students have several difficulties that are faced in learning public speaking. In this case, the teacher must have ability to solve the students’ problems. This research was aimed to find out whether role play technique has the significant effect on the students’ public speaking skill or not. This research was conducted at Cerdas Murni Islamic Senior High School. The method of this research used quantitative quasi-experimental research by using pre-test and post-test design. The researcher was divided two classes into an experimental class and a control class. The researcher was chosen XI MIPA – 1 and XI MIPA – 2 as the sample. The data were collected through analyzing the students’ pre-test and post-test scores. Based on the data, the mean score of post-test was 72.38 in experimental class and 72.4 in control class. Then, the data calculated by using t-test and it was showed that tratio was 0.13 and degree of freedom (df) was 69 whereas ttable on the significance degree of 5% was 1.66. As the result, tratio was lower than ttable. It could be concluded that role play was not effective on students’ public speaking skill.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran yang banyak digunakan saat ini adalah WhatsApp. Bentuk dan makna kata dalam komunikasi WhatsApp ini yang masih terabaikan oleh para penggunanya, banyak yang menganggap penulisan pesan yang disampaikan hanya sekadar saling memahami saja tanpa memikirkan makna yang bisa berubah ketika penulisan pesan yang mereka sampaikan tidak lengkap atau asal-asalan, apalagi dalam perubahan bentuk kata akibat afiksasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah, (1) mendeskripsikan varian bentuk awalan me- tanpa berakhiran pada kata di dalam obrolan "Group PBSI 8-A WhatsApp” (2) mendeskripsikan makna kata pada varian awalan me- tanpa berakhiran pada obrolan "Group PBSI 8-A WhatsApp”. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif yang datanya sudah tercantum dalam laman obrolan WhatsApp. Instrumen pengumpulan data dari laman obrolan (pesan singkat) WhatsApp yang dibantu dengan alat penelitian berupa handphone (HP) dengan cara tangkap layar atau screenshot. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi pesan singkat, dilakukan dengan cara menganalisis bentuk dan makna kata berafiks varian awalan me- pada pesan singkat WhatsApp. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dengan langkah-langkah (1) mengidentifikasikan awalan me- pada pesan singkat WhatsApp, (2) menganalisis bentuk dan makna kata berawlan me- pada pesan singkat WhatsApp. Hasil penelitian tentang varian bentuk awalan me- tanpa berakhiran pada kata di dalam obrolan "Group PBSI 8-A WhatsApp” ada 7 kasus yang tertulis secara benar dan ada 9 kasus yang tertulis salah. Jenis makna kata pada varian awalan me- tanpa berakhiran pada obrolan "Group PBSI 8-A WhatsApp” adalah melakukan aktivitas.

Abstract

This study was about the effect of two teaching approaches on the students’ writing achievement. The two teaching approaches were Process Approach and genre Approach. An experimental research design was used to conduct the study. The study involved the Grade XI students of SMA Nusa Penida Medan in 2018-2019 School Year the samples were 40 students divided into two experimental groups which were given a pretest. The first group was the first experimental one taught with process approach while the second experimental group was taught with genre approach. After giving the treatment, a post test was administered to both groups to have the data. The data were, then analyzed by using t-test. The findings showed that both approaches significantly affected the students’ achievement in writing anecdote text. It was indicated by the value of the t-observed which was greater than the t-table. However, there was no significant difference of the implementation of both approaches. Based on the result of the study, both approaches were suggested to be used in the language teaching learning process to improve the students’ achievement especially in writing anecdote text.

Abstract

Rubber is a superior export commodity and is a source of foreign exchange for the country. This study aims to determine the differences in the income of rubber farmers and the survival strategies of rubber farmers before and during the COVID-19 pandemic in Padang Manjoir Village. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method, namely by field observations and interviews with informants at the location. The results showed that the income of rubber farmers before and during the COVID-19 pandemic was much different. The income of rubber farmers before Covid-19 was much greater than the income of rubber farmers during Covid-19. This is influenced by the price of rubber and the maintenance carried out by rubber farmers. Meanwhile, the strategies adopted by rubber farmers before and during Covid were not much different. Before Covid-19, rubber farmers continued to clear land, often tapped rubber and some of them had the capital to fertilize. Meanwhile, during the Covid-19 pandemic, more and more farmers were doing plantations around rubber fields and houses and then the produce was sold.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa dan orangtua yang masih kurang paham tentang dampak negatif dan positif saat anak mengakses media sosial Facebook. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen angket (kuesioner). Program yang digunakan untuk menguji validitas instrumen adalah program komputer statistical program for social scients instrumen (SPSS) yang terdiri dari uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Penelititan ini terdiri dari dua variabel, yaitu variabel Media Sosial Sosial sebagai variabel independen (X) yang terdiri dari 10 item soal yang telah valid dan variabel Perilaku Perilaku Siswa kelas V SDN 101776 Sampali sebagai variabel dependen (Y) yang terdiri dari 10 item soal yang telah valid. Dari hasil perhitungan koefisien, menunjukkan bahwa nilai koefisien determinasi yang diperoleh adalah sebesar 28,2%. Jadi dapat diketahui bahwa 28,2 % perilaku Siswa Kelas V di SDN 101776. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ialah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam Media Sosial Terhadap Perilaku Siswa Kelas V di SDN 101776, karena nilai Fhitung (3.707) lebih besar daripada Ftabel (5,59).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Media Animasi terhadap Keterampilan Menyimak dan Membaca Pada Kelas V SD Negeri 101933 Perbaungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SD Negeri 101933 Perbaungan, sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 58 responden. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan menggunakan metode analisis korelasi, serta metode analisis yang terdiri dari uji regresi, dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh persamaan Y = 39,771 + 0,486 + 0,341. dimana variabel Media Animasi mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap variabel Menyimak dan Membaca. Hasil uji koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa nilai R square diperoleh nilai sebesar 0.677, artinya presentase Media Animasi Terhadap Keterampilan Menyimak dan Membaca sebesar 67.7%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 32.3% yang dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti oleh penelitian ini.

Abstract

Sejak Maret 2019, Dunia sedang diguncang dengan adanya pandemi Covid-19. Seluruh negara tak terkecuali Indonesia ikut merasakan dampaknya. Dampak yang ditimbulkan dari Covid-19 bersifat multidimensional, salah satu yang terkena imbasnya adalah Lembaga zakat seperti Baitulmal. Adanya wabah ini pendapatan para Muzaki mengalami penurunan, sehingga berpengaruh terhadap penghimpunan zakat yang dilakukan. Tetapi hal ini tidak terjadi pada Baitulmal Kota Subulussalam, penghimpunan zakat dan infaq setiap tahunnya mengalami peningkatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu pengumpulan informasi tambahan. Tehnik bermacam-macam informasi yang dilakukan yaitu persepsi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Dalam menyelidiki informasi tersebut digunakan pemeriksaan subyektif dengan teknik analisis deskriptif. Strategi legitimasi informasi yang digunakan adalah triangulasi sumber, triangulasi waktu dan triangulasi khusus. Kenaikan zakat disaat pandemic dikarenakan sawit sebagai sumber utama rata-rata pendapatan masyarakat tidak mengalami penurunan, harga sawit justru meningkat. Selain harga sawit yang tidak mengalami penurunan faktor lain yang menyebabkan kenaikan penghimpunan zakat yaitu, pemerintah daerah Prov. Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam yang mewajibkan masyarakat untuk mengeluarkan zakat dan gencarnya sosialisasi pihak Baitulmal Kota Subulussalam kepada masyarakat membuahkan hasil yang cukup memuaskan. Peningkatan penghimpunan zakat terjadi ditahun 2020 sebesar 4.707.530.198 dibandingkan dengan sebelumnya yaitu tahun 2019 sebesar 4.106.633.345 dan tahun 2018 sebesar. 3.373.667.764 disusul dengan peningkatan Pendistribusian zakat pada tahun 2020 sebesar 4.382.807.030 dibandingkan dengan tahun sebelumnyaya yaitu tahunn2019 sebesarn2.769.500.000 danntahun 2018 sebesarn2.290.000.000.
