Abstract

Background : Patient safety in drug administration is still a top global health priority because patient safety has become the most important indicator in the health care system for good and bad patient health. The lower the implementation of patient safety in administering medication, the better the quality of nursing services will be. Research Objective: To determine the relationship between the implementation of patient safety in administering inpatient medication and the quality of nursing services at RSI Purwokerto. Method: Quantitative methods were used with a correlational descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique was total sampling, totaling 90 respondents. Results: From this research, the results showed that there were 41 inpatient nurses (91.1%) who implemented patient safety in administering medication well, and 42 inpatient nurses (93.3%) who assessed the quality of nursing services at RSI Purwokerto as good . The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the implementation of patient safety in administering medication and the quality of nursing services at RSI Purwokerto (p0.05). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the implementation of patient safety in inpatient medication administration and the quality of nursing services in hospitals.

Abstract

Background: Diffusion Weighted Image (DWI) sequence that utilizes the movement of molecules due to random thermal motion. The aim of this research is to determine the difference in image information between DWI sequence and DWI BLADE on axial brain MRI images for optimization and to find the most optimal sequence between DWI and DWI BLADE on axial brain MRI images. Method: This study used a quantitative experimental research that aims to determine image information and optimize brain MRI examinations between DWI sequence and DWI BLADE using the MRI Siemens Magnetom Amira 1.5 T at Dr. Oen Kandang Sapi Hospital Solo in May-June 2023. The sample consisted of 11 MRI assessments through visual grading analysis to provide interpretations related to image clarity information, thus obtaining the optimal use of DWI and DWI Blade sequences. Results: Based on the research and discussion results, it can be concluded that there is a difference in anatomical image information between DWI sequence with BLADE and without BLADE on axial brain MRI examinations, with a significance value of 0.00 (p<0.05), indicating a difference in anatomical image information in the cortex cerebri, thalamus, cerebellum, basal ganglia, and a significance value of 1.000 (p<0.05) for artifact information, indicating no difference in artifact image information between DWI sequences with BLADE and without BLADE. Conclusion: DWI BLADE sequence provides better anatomical image information compared to DWI sequence without BLADE in axial brain MRI examinations.

Abstract

Background: Nutritional status issues in toddlers are caused by insufficient food intake and diseases. The most important primary prevention effort involve various human activities and behaviors, including meeting nutritional needs and implementing the Clean Healthy Living Behavior program. Method: This study employed a quantitative approach with a Cross-sectional research design. The sample consisted of 74 mothers of toddlers aged 6-59 months in Panembangan Village, Cilongok District, Banyuma Regency, selected using the Sampling Fraction Per Cluster technique. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Results: The study found that the most dominant level of education was junior hight school (39,2%), and most mother were housewives (87,8%). Most parents in Panembangan Village had good knowladge of local food utilization (70,3%), and there was a significant correlation between parental knowladge and nutritional status, with Continuity Correction of 0.037. In terms of Clean, Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB), most respondents in Panembangan Village exhibited good behavior (94,6%), and there was a significant relationship between CHLB and the nutritional status of toddlers, with a Fisher’s Exact Test of 0,046. Conclusion: There is a correlation between knowledge of local food utilization and clean, healthy living behavior with nutritional status of toddlers.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia is in a region prone to natural disasters, including earthquakes. Earthquakes often result in loss of life and property damage. One of the main factors contributing to a high casualty rate is the lack of knowledge, attitude, and behavior toward disasters and insufficient preparedness to anticipate such events. Method: A quantitative correlation study used a cross-sectional approach. The sample was selected using stratified random sampling, resulting in 16 samples from each educational level (elementary, junior high, high school, and university), totaling 64 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using the Chi-Square test. Results: The characteristics of the respondents of the gender, the most common are men 56.3%, the most common age group is in the 36-45 years old range 45.3%, then in the occupational group the most common are housewives with 26.6%. The study found that the majority of the community had sufficient knowledge (p-value 0.001), good attitudes (p-value 0.029), and sufficient behavior (p-value 0.001) towards earthquake preparedness. This indicates a significant relationship between the level of knowledge, attitude, and behavior with preparedness for earthquake natural disasters. Conclusion: Knowledge level, attitude, and behavior influence community preparedness for natural disasters, including earthquakes.

Abstract

Background: Floods cause various kinds of losses in the form of property losses and social losses. Floods in Sirau Village routinely occur every year because of the village's geographical location which is concave, but the community is always not ready to make any preparations if a flood occurs, such as planning evacuation locations, carrying out evacuation simulation exercises, not preparing a first aid box or preparing a special place to store archives. important. People need to have good self-efficacy and knowledge to overcome problems in order to avoid their impacts. Method: This research used a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest. The sample was 46 respondents using proportional random sampling technique. Then the Wilcoxon test is used for statistical tests. This research instrument uses a questionnaire to collect data, and comic media as an educational intervention. Results: This research shows that the majority of respondents received a good category after the intervention with a Self Efficacy level of 73.9%. The p value obtained from the Wilcoxon test is 0.00 < 0.05. This means that there is a significant influence on the level of self-ability on preparedness for flood disasters. Conclusion: Good Self Efficacy will influence the Respondent's abilities and skills in managing or dealing with uncontrollable situations such as disasters.
