Abstract

Background: Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI) is a technique that visualizes the movement of water molecules from areas of higher to lower concentration. In DWI sequences, the b-value parameter affects the signal intensity in the images. The objective of this study is to describe the differences in anatomical image information between b-value variations of 1500s/mm2, 2000s/mm2, and 2500s/mm2 in MRI prostate case cancer and to determine the most optimal b-value. Method: This study used a pre-exeachimental approach with a 1.5T Philips MRI machine at a private hospital in South Jakarta from March to April 2023. The sample consisted of 12 Prostate MRI images with DWI sequences and different b-values. Visual grading assessment was eachformed by three radiology specialists, and the data were analyzed using the Friedman test in SPSS. Results: The results showed a significant difference in anatomical image information based on the b-value variations used, with a p-value of 0.05 (0.02). The highest mean rank was obtained from the Friedman test for the b-value of 2000s/mm2. Conclusion: The significant difference in anatomical image information occurred due to differences in signal intensity and noise levels. Prostate cancer tissues appeared more hyperintense with lower noise in images with higher b-values, and vice versa. Additionally, the b-value of 2000s/mm2 resulted in the most optimal signal intensity and noise level. In conclusion, the use of b-value variations in axial DWI images of prostate cancer Prostate MRI to differences in anatomical image information, with the most optimal image information observed at a b-value of 2000s/mm2.

Abstract

Background:Hypotension in cesarean-section patients occurs due to peripheral vasodilation. It was the result of a sympathetic blockade caused by spinal anesthesia medication. Several methods can be employed to manage hypotension during cesarean section surgery, including fluid loading and vasopressors. Preloading with colloid fluids like hydroxyethyl starch (HES) before initiating spinal anesthesia has been deemed effective in reducing the incidence and severity of hypotension. A preliminary study revealed a decrease in blood pressure (up to 20%) in the first 15 minutes after spinal anesthesia was given to 30 cesarean section patients.Method: In this research, a Quasi-Experimental method was employed with a Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. A total of 94 respondents were selected as the research sample using a purposive sampling technique. The respondents were divided into two groups: the ephedrine group and the preloading group. The data obtained were then analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test. Results:There is a significant effect on systolic and diastolic blood pressure between the ephedrine and preloading group, with respective significance values of p 0.010 and p 0.001. Conclusion:Preloading gelatine colloid is effective in maintaining blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) in cesarean section patients with spinal anesthesia.

Abstract

Background:Hypertension is a condition where an individual's systolic blood pressure is 140 mmHg, or higher and diastolic blood pressure is 90 mmHg or higher, occurring in both men and women. One recommended approach to manage hypertension is the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) diet. However, in implementing the hypertension diet, patients often lack knowledge about permissible foods and tend to follow the diet only immediately after seeking medical attention, with adherence declining after the first week. Method: This study employed a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 27 respondents suffering from hypertension at PosbinduKalibagor Village, selected through the total sampling technique and G*Power software. Data analysis utilized Paired Sample T-Test with a significance level of 0.05. Results:There was a significant difference in the average knowledge level before and after DASH diet health education using the KalDiDASH media, with t(26) = -7.772, p = 0.001. There was also a significant difference in the average diet adherence level before and after using KalDiDASH, with t(26) = -2.993, p = 0.006. There was an effect of using KalDiDASH (DASH Diet Calendar) on the knowledge level and diet adherence of hypertension patients at the Kalibagor Village Posbindu, with p-values of 0.001 and 0.006 (less than 0.05), respectively, and a large effect size. Conclusion:Using KalDiDASH affects hypertension patients' knowledge level and diet adherence at the Kalibagor Village Posbindu.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is one of the most common diseases in Indonesia and often occurs in the elderly due to a decrease in the body's physiology. In 2021, the number of hypertension sufferers in Banyumas will be 129,817 from a total of 40 villages. There were 4,435 people who handled hypertension at Kembaran Health Center 1. Physical activity such as gymnastics is important for the elderly to do to maintain physiological function so that it can optimize the function of various systems of the elderly body, one of which is useful for lowering blood pressure. Method: This study used a pre-experimental design type of one-group pretest-posttest.The population in this study were hypertensive elderly who were active in elderly integrated health center in Linggasari Village. This study used a total sampling technique, and the sample used was 36 respondents. Results: The results of the paired t test showed a decrease in systolic and diastolic pressure after exercise (p value 0.000). The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a pulse rate of 0.018, oxygen saturation of 0.000 (SPO2), respiratory rate of 0.001, and complaints of joint pain of 0.000. Conclusion:In this study, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of SEGTOTAK exercise on the physiological changes in the elderly with hypertension.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a common reaction to situations individuals perceive as dangerous or threatening. Prolonged anxiety can disrupt a person's thoughts and behaviors. Elderly individuals often experience anxiety, primarily related to their illnesses, with hypertension being prevalent among them. The advantage of health education using video media lies in its ability to provide effective visualization to facilitate the learning process. Method: This study employed a Pre - Experimental research design with a quantitative approach, explicitly utilizing a one-group pretest-posttest design. Sampling was conducted using random sampling, with a sample size of 54 respondents. The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) was used to measure anxiety. Results: The average pre-test anxiety score before the intervention was 29.79, while the average post-test score showed a decrease of 4.00, resulting in a score of 25.79. Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test obtained a p-value for the pre-test and post-test of 0.000 (0.050), indicating that psychoeducation intervention with PMR video therapy affected anxiety levels in the elderly with hypertension at the Salem Village Elderly Health Post. Conclusion: Psychoeducation intervention with PMR video therapy affects anxiety levels in the elderly with hypertension in Salem Village.

Abstract

Background: Circumcision is a medical procedure involving the removal of the prepuce, resulting in wound and significant postoperative pain that disrupts daily activities. The use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to manage pain has associated side effects, prompting the exploration of non-pharmacological therapies such as murottal and aromatherapy as alternatives for pain management in post-circumcision pediatric patients. Method: This quantitative study utilized a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-and-post-test approach. A sample of 20 respondents was selected using non-probability purposive sampling at Oerip Putra Brebes Clinic. Pain level was measured using the Wong-Baker Faces Pain Rating Scale. The respondents were being asked three times for the pain scale before the intervention, to make sure the pain scale is not temporarily but it’s their final answer. Data analysis employed the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Data collection was condcuted between December 2022 and February 2023. Results: The average pain scale value before intervention was 4,20, and after intervention, it was 4,70. The Wilcoxon test yielded a p-value of 0,197, indicating no significant impact from murottal and lavender aromatherapy on post-circumcision pediatric patients. Conclusion: The administration of murottal and lavender aromatherapy did not yield a significant impact on post-circumcision pain in pediatric patients.
