Abstract

The world that has fallen into sin makes all mankind live in the shadow of death. This has a significant impact on human life and all the activities they do. Humans and everything they do tend to gravitate towards sin and darkness. Therefore, the church is present as a representation of God who was present in the form of Jesus Christ thousands of years ago in the midst of a world that is dark, full of sin, and the shadow of death. The church exists to realize the life of God's holy kingdom for every living human being. The Church also has an important role in this regard to express God's love through the redemptive work done by Jesus Christ on the cross. On the other hand, the Church has also been chosen by God to spread the message of salvation over the power of sin and death for every human being. The Church should be able to influence all aspects of human life including the world of art and culture. This seems to be considered important because the Church and cultural arts have been side by side for a long time and are interrelated with one another. Therefore, through this research, the author invites readers to find out how the church can be a means for God to reveal his kingdom in the world of cultural arts.

Abstract

Giving offerings is a form of expression of gratitude, a sign of atonement for wrongdoing, and a sign of salvation to God. Christians express gratitude to God for all the blessings that God has given, so there are offerings. Since Sunday school they have been taught to make offerings, namely giving some of their possessions in the form of material things or money. Offerings are not only about money but also our service in the church, helping others, loving as God loves us are also forms of offering. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The qualitative research method is field research by collecting data directly in the field, engaging with the community and sharing what we feel, we must evangelize it so that many souls are saved, not just Christians but all nations so that Jesus' mission can be made easier for them. feel and get a picture that we have to show God's love which is irresistible to all mankind, often churches only want to develop their people if only Christians are evangelized, pity those of other religions who still don't believe, still living in our attachments as won souls.

Abstract

Philosophical basis also plays an important role in human understanding to think and provide arguments about what is in the situation where he is. However, people still philosophize and try to achieve success in sharpening their knowledge or to find out what they have been questioning in their life. But this cannot answer his criticism of the Bible or of the existence of God. Because, only God's Word is able to reach absolute understanding and truth in accepting God's existence by faith.

Abstract

The existence of the church in general must be felt by the community. The church is a representative of the Kingdom of God on earth. The church has a role in completing the Great Commission and has an impact on community life. The role of the church is not only in spiritual matters but also in physical matters. This study aims to discuss the church as the existence of the kingdom of God in the midst of society. The purpose of this study is to provide motivation to believers that the existence of the church is fully responsible for the congregation and society both spiritually and physically.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of management functions (planning, organizing, actuating and controlling) of the church at GBI ROCK Pondok Indah Jakarta. This is descriptive qualitative research; the key persons are professional worker who are also as church full-timers. Data were collected through structured interviews, then analyzed using the stages of condensation, data display, conclusion drawing. The results showed that the application of church management functions at GBI ROCK Pondok Indah South Jakarta that are related to the planning, actuating, organizing and controlling system has not been achieved optimally, because it has inhibiting factors, namely communication, policies that are considered less strategic and dynamic. Church full-timers who are given trust do not understand their duties and responsibilities, the church provides corrections to the program but is personal.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the congregation's understanding of discipleship and its application at JKI Jakarta Praise Community Church (JPCC) during a pandemic. The informants in this study were Date Facilitators, Date Leaders and Daters. Data collection techniques used are interviews and observation. Data collected was analyzed by stages (1) Condensation (2) Data Display (3) Drawing Conclusion. The results of the study show that (1) the congregation has understood the meaning of discipleship; and (2) the implementation of discipleship at JKI Jakarta Praise Community Church (JPCC) is going good enough. Based on the results of this research, several suggestions were proposed including: (1) JKI Jakarta Praise Community Church (JPCC) still needs to hold seminars or training regarding discipleship; (2) JKI Jakarta Praise Community Church (JPCC) need to continue to provide encouragement and enthusiasm to all parties involved in discipling; and (3) The discipleship department or division at JKI Jakarta Praise Community Church (JPCC) creates a special book module or guide on how to be more creative and innovative in carrying out online discipleship

Abstract

The aim of the research is formulated in the following statement: to find out the ways or methods of pastoral counseling in providing joy to the elderly, to find out how pastoral counseling assistance provides comfort to the elderly to get rid of feelings of unnecessaryness and loneliness, to find out how pastoral counseling assistance works. in generating a sense of certainty about where the elderly will go after death. The research method used by the author is a qualitative research method. The results of the study concluded that elderly people often feel lonely and empty because their children are far away because of work or are married. So ultimately the elderly can experience depression. Regarding spiritual activities, this elderly group may still be able to do them even though they are very limited, but their desire to be close to God is very strong. The spirituality of the congregation and through pastoral counseling services can be an alternative answer to determining the appropriate discipleship model in a church specifically for the elderly.
