Abstract

Leadership is a person's ability to influence other people, to carry out the same actions, as well as someone who dares to take risks and can be responsible for their actions. The actions of a respected leader do not depend solely on the abilities above, he is respected only if he acts fairly and without considering the ethnicity, social status and religion of the people he leads. Without justice, leaders will act anarchically and arbitrarily towards the people who are led specifically by the common people. In relation to government, the leader must be someone appointed by God, because he carries out God's duties in this world. So the leader chosen by Allah should be someone who fears Allah. Because if a leader does not fear God he will act outside of God's truth. People who fear God can be seen in several aspects of life, namely; morals based on God's truth, living in association with God (worship), honest, not compromising with sin, carrying out God's commands, prioritizing the welfare of the people rather than the group. This research is based on qualitative descriptive methods. Observations of the condition of the Indonesian people show that the people need leaders who are just and fear God. Indonesia has been divided with various political content and even has a status labeled Religion. Indonesia is on the verge of destruction if the leaders are people who do not fear God, besides that they also do not uphold the constitution of the Republic of Indonesia.

Abstract

Every individual has the right to receive education, including children with special needs (ABK), as God sees that every human being is valuable, so the same way of seeing and becomes the motivation of the Church, especially educators, to serve ABK by interpreting the existence of ABK in The class is God's call through educators to serve them. Educators need to play their role in managing Christian religious education for students with special needs, so that their right to education is fulfilled. This research uses literature methods. This research aims to provide a theoretical contribution regarding strategies or roles that can be maximized by Christian educators in managing Christian religious education for children/students with special needs

Abstract

This study examines the impact of some church leaders' and congregation members' indifference towards spiritual growth, which can lead to stagnation in faith development. Challenges in Christian spiritual growth often arises from life’s issues, which can either strengthen or disrupt one's faith. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this research involved six church leaders as subjects. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and validated through rigorous checking. Data analysis followed three main stages: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that both the understanding and application of spiritual growth principles based on 1 Peter 2:1-4 within the Ngobrolin Papi Surgawi Jakarta community are still suboptimal. This research highlights the need for improved understanding and application of spiritual growth principles to prevent stagnation in faith and support ongoing spiritual development.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the understanding of Christology and the need for apologetics among church leaders, specifically within GBI ROCK Jabodetabek Serang. Given the challenges the church faces today, such as attacks from Gnosticism, Docetism, and Arianism, a correct understanding of Christology and apologetic skills are crucial. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through semi-structured interviews with 8 church leaders. Data was analyzed using data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The findings indicate: (1) All pastors at GBI ROCK Jabodetabek have a good understanding of Christology except for the concepts of the Trinity and the dual nature of Jesus; (2) They possess an understanding of the qualifications of an apologist, though not fully comprehensive; (3) Most pastors understand the process of implementing apologetics and its application in ministry, but lack a full grasp of concepts, methods, and relevant reference sources. This study highlights the need for enhanced understanding and application of apologetics to address challenges from heretical teachings within the church context

Abstract

Spiritual ministry in prison is a service that is devoted to spiritually serving people who are imprisoned for being involved in criminal cases that violate the law so that they are placed in a correctional institution (prison) to serve their sentence. The active role of the Church as the Body of Christ on earth is very necessary in living the preaching of the Gospel which is mandated by Christ as the head of the Church, especially serving marginal groups, namely prisoners. The form of concrete services provided is certainly inseparable from the church's tri-duties, namely Kainonia, Marturia and Diakonia. This research is limited to the work of Marturia and the church's Diakonia for prisoners in prison. The purpose of this study seeks to explore in the literature the nature and forms of spiritual ministry in prisons. This research method uses the literature study method

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi motivasi kaum muda dalam mengikuti kegiatan pemuridan di Youth Mighty Army GBI Plaza Niaga 2 Sentul City, memahami proses pemuridan yang dijalani, serta menggambarkan persepsi mereka terhadap kegiatan tersebut. Dengan melibatkan 50 responden muda yang dipilih melalui purposif sampling, data dikumpulkan menggunakan observasi awal, wawancara semi-terstruktur, dan studi dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis melalui kondensasi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dorongan intrinsik menjadi motivasi utama kaum muda untuk berpartisipasi dalam pemuridan, dengan pemahaman yang baik terhadap tahapan proses yang dilakukan. Persepsi mereka terhadap kualitas pengajaran, fasilitas pendukung, dan keseluruhan program sangat positif, mencerminkan efektivitas pemuridan dalam mendukung pertumbuhan rohani. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar Sinode gereja memprioritaskan pemuridan kaum muda dengan mengembangkan program yang relevan dengan kebutuhan generasi saat ini, gembala gereja lokal meningkatkan pembahasan tentang pemuridan dalam khotbah Minggu, serta pengajar memperdalam teknik mengajar dan materi pemuridan. Peserta pemuridan juga diharapkan lebih aktif, berkomitmen, dan memperluas jejaring agar program ini dapat menjangkau lebih banyak kaum muda.

Abstract

The Kingdom of God is a government in which God is fully sovereign as King who rules over His people. This Gospel of the Kingdom is what Jesus preached and taught during His time on earth, to make people aware that in this world system that is corrupted by sin, the Kingdom of God comes by declaring a new government that is different from the governments of the world. Unfortunately, there are still many Christians who have believed and been born again but have not realized or fully understood this Gospel of the Kingdom, including the younger generation. The purpose of this study is to find ways to foster awareness of the Kingdom of God, especially in the younger generation who are living in this modern era.

Abstract

Evangelism is a central mission of the church to proclaim the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ to all people. In the digital era and post-COVID-19 pandemic context, digital media has emerged as a strategic tool that enables the rapid and far-reaching dissemination of the Gospel across geographical boundaries. This study aims to describe how GBI ROCK Jakarta utilizes digital media in its evangelistic efforts. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data was collected through interviews with seven satellite pastors of GBI ROCK Jakarta, all of whom have a theological academic background. The findings reveal that these pastors fully understand the purpose of evangelism and have applied various methods, both traditional and digital, including the use of platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. Digital media has proven effective in reaching a broader audience and extending the church’s evangelistic reach. However, it also presents limitations, such as reduced personal interaction and challenges in follow-up engagement. This study affirms that digital media is not merely a tool for communication, but a vital means of Gospel proclamation relevant to contemporary global challenges

Abstract

The ministry of the Lord Jesus is one of the ministries carried out with love. The Samaritan woman who experienced an encounter with Jesus. Her encounter with the Lord Jesus brought this woman to find a solution to the problems in her life and which had a good impact on her environment. Hopefully this paper can provide enlightenment and lead us to understand and love people in the same   situation as this Samaritan woman. The purpose of this study is to emphasize the importance of knowing and studying psychology in pastoral ministry as carried out by the Lord Jesus to the Samaritan Woman. The research method used is a qualitative biblical approach and takes various existing reference sources according to each discussion. The conclusion of this paper is that Jesus' ministry brings a teaching about the nature of the importance of a true teaching. Jesus gave a teaching about the importance of the woman to accept God personally in her life. A change of heart brings a change in behavior Jesus serves with power.
