Abstract

Indonesia is a democratic country which means that all its citizens have the same right to vote and village head elections as a means of realizing democracy. This article was conducted with the aim that we describe and find out how the implementation or elaboration of Pancasila values, especially in the implementation of village head elections. The method used in this research is qualitative. Qualitative research is intended to understand the meaning or seek the meaning of events and their connections with ordinary people in certain situations. Basically the power of a democratic country is in the hands of the people for the common good. In Indonesia, the implementation of democracy is based on the Fourth Precept of Pancasila which reads "populist led by expertise in deliberation and representation". Village head elections are one of the manifestations of democracy in Indonesia. Village head elections or often abbreviated as village head elections are the implementation of village leaders in the context of electing village heads who are direct, public, free, confidential, honest and fair. The village head is directly elected by villagers from candidates who meet the village head election requirements and is carried out through the nomination and election stages. Direct election of regional heads is one of the implementations of a democratic system to create a more democratic government. This general election activity has been stipulated in the Pancasila in the fourth Precept, namely democracy led by wisdom and expertise in deliberations and representation. The application of the values of the Fourth Pancasila in the democratic life of Pilkades in Indonesia can be used in prioritizing discussions and making decisions for the common good.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries that adheres to a democratic system in running the government. Democracy by its essence according to Abraham Lincoln is a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. In this case, democracy allows all parties without exception to be involved in the realm of government. Even though the people are involved in it, the government of the country does not always run smoothly. Those who are appointed as representatives of the people are not always trustworthy in carrying out government duties. If a government that is not trustworthy continues to run, it will certainly reduce democratic values. In this case the democracy stated in Article 1 paragraph 2 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia is only a scratch on paper. A clean and just government is certainly the hope of every citizen. In realizing a clean and just government, supporting indicators are needed in it. Pancasila as the basis of the state and the nation's way of life has regulated the Indonesian democratic system. Through the fourth precept, Pancasila introduces the values of deliberation in reaching consensus which are then applied as the basis or rules that must be followed for every citizen. Deliberation which is one of the implementations of democracy is considered to be the best way to unite differences of opinion. According to Rifa'i (2015), the word deliberation is taken from Arabic, namely syura which is then absorbed in Indonesian so that it means to negotiate and consult. Indonesia, which is known to have diversity in various aspects such as ethnicity, religion, race, and between groups, certainly cannot be separated from differences of opinion. Therefore, making every decision in every aspect of national life cannot be separated from deliberation.

Abstract

Pancasila, as the foundational philosophy of Indonesia, plays a strategic role in fostering ethical leadership, particularly in the field of management. The noble values of Pancasila, encompassing Belief in One Supreme God, Just and Civilized Humanity, Unity of Indonesia, Democracy Guided by the Inner Wisdom of Deliberation/Representation, and Social Justice for All Indonesians, serve as a critical foundation for shaping leaders’ ethics and morality. In the context of management, the application of Pancasila’s values assists leaders in navigating global challenges such as economic pressures, cultural diversity, and conflicts of interest. Ethical leadership rooted in Pancasila promotes an inclusive, fair, and welfare-oriented workplace environment. The value of Divinity encourages leaders to act with integrity and responsibility, while humanity ensures respect for human rights and social justice. Unity becomes key to building strong teamwork, and democracy supports decision-making processes based on deliberation. This article highlights the importance of internalizing Pancasila as an ethical guideline for leaders in various organizations to build trust, inspire teams, and achieve sustainable business outcomes. Thus, Pancasila is not only relevant on a national scale but also has the potential to serve as a model for ethical leadership on a global level.

Abstract

Character is one of the important aspects for a student. However, many students in Indonesia still do not have the character that a student should have. According to KPAI data, in 2018 there was an increase in brawl cases of 1.1% (KPAI, 2020). This shows that the character of students in Indonesia is still very deviant. Therefore, it is necessary to create awareness among students to have character. One way is to apply Pancasila as a basis for cultivating the character of the nation's student

Abstract

This research aims to implement the application of Pancasila values in academic and non-academic activities at the Faculty of Agriculture. As the basic ideology of the Indonesian nation, Pancasila plays an important role as a guide in various aspects of life, including higher education. At the Faculty of Agriculture, the application of Pancasila values is reflected through mutual cooperation in laboratory and field activities, social justice in the distribution of tasks and research results, and strengthening a sense of nationalism through a curriculum that supports national food conservation. This research uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through interviews, observation and document analysis. The results show that Pancasila values have been implemented through community service programs, student activities, and the integration of these values into the lecture curriculum. However, there are challenges in the form of a lack of individual awareness of the importance of Pancasila and limited facilities. Therefore, strategic steps are needed to increase understanding and application of Pancasila values as a whole. It is hoped that this research can become a reference for higher education institutions in strengthening the application of Pancasila values to produce graduates who are not only academically superior, but also have strong national character.

Abstract

This article discusses how schools can develop a culture that supports bullying prevention through clear policies and the implementation of positive values. The main goal of this article is to highlight the importance of firm and sustainable policies in addressing bullying, as well as how values such as empathy, mutual respect, and tolerance can create a safe and inclusive atmosphere within schools. The approach used includes a literature review on theories of bullying prevention, as well as an analysis of existing policies in Indonesia, such as the Child Protection Law and education regulations. Findings from this article reveal that effective anti-bullying policies not only impose sanctions on perpetrators of bullying but also focus on prevention through proactive education and character building. Additionally, reinforcing positive values, such as respecting differences, fostering solidarity, and developing social skills, is crucial in creating an inclusive school culture that supports student development. This article also suggests that schools should not rely solely on reactive policies but should adopt a more holistic approach by involving all stakeholders, including teachers, students, parents, and the community, to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive learning environment for all students.

Abstract

Pancasila, as the foundational philosophy of the Indonesian state, not only functions as a guide for national life but also serves as a basis for various fields of knowledge, including management. The values enshrined in Pancasila act as ethical and moral guidelines in organizational management and decision-making processes. This paper is written as a way to explore the application of Pancasila in the development of management science, as well as how the mastery of Pancasila's values can shape a work ethic based on integrity. In the context of management, Pancasila serves as a moral and ethical guide that directs organizational management, decision-making, and interpersonal relations within an organization. The principles of Pancasila, when applied, can help create a more harmonious, just, and respectful environment, which in turn strengthens the organization's competitiveness. For instance, the first principle, Belief in One God, encourages leaders to uphold high integrity and maintain moral values in every decision they make. The second principle, Just and Civilized Humanity, teaches the importance of respecting human dignity in all interactions and policies implemented within the organization. This paper aims to provide a deeper understanding of the application of Pancasila in the development of management science. Furthermore, mastering the values of Pancasila can help shape a strong and ethical work ethic, which is essential in fostering professionalism in the workplace. This work ethic, grounded in moral and ethical values, motivates individuals to perform their tasks with dedication, uphold honesty, responsibility, and fairness, and contribute positively to their organizations. Therefore, applying Pancasila in management not only enhances individual performance but also strengthens national values, benefiting the overall development of Indonesian society.
