Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the Supporting Factors of the Quality of One Stop Services Study at the Bangil Religious Court Class 1B, Pasuruan Regency. Qualitative descriptive research methods and data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Determination of informants is done by purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the Supporting Factors for the Quality of One-Stop Integrated Service Study at the Bangil Religious Court Class 1B, Pasuruan Regency, have continuous employee direction to improve the competence of employees, one of which can be obtained through coaching. adequate facilities and infrastructure, and employee discipline in implementing SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) services, because discipline is education or training for employees who have focused on developing a good attitude towards work.

Abstract

The establishment of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia aims to help create and develop conducive conditions in carrying out the eradication of maladministration. In the process of providing public services, the supervision of public service problems in East Java by the Indonesian Ombudsman Representative of East Java is still said to be ineffective. The purpose of this study is to identify, describe and analyze the Strategy and Functional Policy of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia for the Representative of East Java. Qualitative descriptive research method through interviews, observation and documentation. Technical analysis of data using Miles and Hubberman through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the Strategy and Functional Policy also focuses on a strategic step that is very important to do, a problem that is quite severe with the culture of the community carrying out extortion actions that were carried out intentionally with the reason of "pity" and "don't want to be complicated". This was done intentionally.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and prove women's leadership in decision making in the Food and Agriculture Office of Sidoarjo Regency. The research method used is correlational quantitative. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. Determination of the number of samples using the Tarro Yamane formula with a total of 166 respondents. The results of this study prove that there is an influence of women's leadership on decision making either partially or simultaneously in the Food and Agriculture Office of Sidoarjo Regency. Women's leadership which includes idealized influence (X1), inspirational motivation (X2). Intellectual stimulation (X3), and individualized consideration (X4) have a simultaneous effect on decision making (Y) at the Food and Agriculture Office of Sidoarjo Regency. In addition, the idealized influence variable (X1) partially has a significant effect on decision making (Y). Inspirational motivation (X2) has no significant effect on decision making (Y). Intellectual stimulation (X3) has a significant effect on decision making (Y). And the individualized consideration variable (X4) has a partial effect on decision making (Y).

Abstract

Implementation of Waste Management Policy at TPA Jabon District, Sidoarjo Regency. Garbage is something that is not used, not used, unpleasant or something that is thrown away that comes from human activities and does not happen by itself. The sources of waste include waste originating from settlements, waste originating from public places, waste originating from offices, waste originating from highways, waste originating from industry (industrial waste), waste originating from/plantations, Garbage originating from mining, waste originating from agriculture and fisheries. Therefore, management is needed to control it so that it does not have a negative impact on public health.This research is a qualitative descriptive approach, with two research locations, the first is the Sidoarjo Environmental and Hygiene Service, and the second is the Final Disposal Site (TPA) in Jabon. The focus of this research is based on the theory of implementation of Edward III with resource persons who can explain the conditions in the field. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The analytical techniques used in this study were collecting data, reducing data, and drawing conclusions.The results showed that the implementation of the Waste Policy at the TPA, Jabon District, Sidoarjo Regency in terms of communication between governments was not optimal due to the lack of commitment from the parties, lack of human resources, optimal disposition and optimal bureaucratic structure.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aims to explore and describe the implementation of e-government through the use of the Pelayanan Via Online (PLAVON) system in Kajeksan Village, Tulangan Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency, Indonesia. The research employed a purposive sampling technique and utilized observations, interviews, and document analysis as data collection methods. Drawing on Indrajit's (2002) theory of e-government implementation, the study focused on three key indicators: legal infrastructure, human infrastructure, and technological infrastructure. The legal infrastructure was supported by the regulatory framework outlined in the Ministry of Home Affairs Regulation No. 7 of 2019 concerning online population administration services. Findings revealed that the implementation of the PLAVON system was effectively carried out in accordance with governmental regulations. However, challenges were identified in terms of public awareness and understanding of the PLAVON system, as well as difficulties in accessing the online services. The study highlights the importance of human infrastructure, emphasizing the need for enhanced knowledge and skills among government employees, as well as the provision of necessary technological facilities. The findings have implications for policymakers and stakeholders seeking to promote efficient and inclusive e-government services in rural communities. Highlights: Effective Implementation: The study showcases the successful implementation of the Pelayanan Via Online (PLAVON) system, emphasizing its compliance with legal regulations and governmental guidelines. Abstract

This qualitative research study explores the role of the Ketapang Village Government in fostering the development of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in the Tanggulangin subdistrict of Sidoarjo Regency, Indonesia. Employing a triangulation data collection method and utilizing Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis technique, the study identifies four key roles played by the Ketapang Village Government: regulator, dynamizer, facilitator, and catalyst. The results highlight the government's efforts in providing guidance, encouraging community participation, offering support through supervision and financing, and accelerating the village's potential development. The study reveals that supportive factors include the availability of facilities, specific policies on management, and guidance and supervision mechanisms, while a lack of environmental awareness, particularly in maintaining the cleanliness of the Affaour River, emerged as a significant challenge. These findings contribute to the understanding of effective governance in rural areas and hold implications for policymakers, researchers, and practitioners involved in rural development and community empowerment initiatives. Abstract

This scientific article explores the communication patterns within the Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) group in Dusun Tlocor, Sidoarjo District, which was formed by the local government to develop tourism potential, particularly the emerging Pulau Lusi (Lumpur Sidoarjo). Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data was collected through informant interviews. The study reveals that the communication pattern within Pokdarwis exhibits a linear or continuous/chain communication style. The findings shed light on the dynamics of communication strategies employed by the group, enabling a deeper understanding of their efforts in developing tourism. These insights hold implications for fostering community participation and maximizing the economic benefits of tourism in the region. Abstract

This qualitative study employs virtual ethnography to investigate the motives underlying the use of social media among individuals in Sidoarjo Regency, a rapidly developing region in Indonesia. With the advent of modern technology and the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, social media has become crucial for disseminating information and providing entertainment to society. The research involved five informants and primarily focused on WhatsApp as a substitute communication tool facilitating their daily activities. The study explores the goals, methods, results, and implications of social media usage in Sidoarjo, highlighting its significance in supporting regional economic development. The findings shed light on the wide reach, convenience, and cost-effectiveness of social media as a mass communication medium. This research contributes to the broader understanding of the role of social media in contemporary society and its implications for communication practices and socio-economic dynamics. Abstract

This study analyzes community participation in sustainable environmental development in Ketapang Village, Sidoarjo. Descriptive research methods, including observations and interviews, were employed. Primary and secondary data were collected from key informants. The study applied Cohen and Uphoff's theory, identifying four stages of participation. Active community involvement was observed in decision-making processes, while implementation mainly relied on physical labor. Benefit-sharing involved the use of rented commercial facilities. However, community participation in evaluation activities was limited. These findings highlight the need for strategies to enhance inclusive community engagement in sustainable development, leading to positive environmental outcomes. Highlights: Active community involvement: The study reveals significant community participation in decision-making processes, particularly through the Musyawarah Perencanaan Pembangunan Desa (Village Development Planning Meeting), indicating the importance of inclusive community engagement. Abstract

This quantitative study investigates the influence of financial literacy, family financial education, and lifestyle on financial management behavior, with a focus on the mediating role of financial self-efficacy. A purposive sampling technique was used, resulting in 105 employed respondents. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis in the SmartPLS application. The findings indicate that financial literacy does not directly impact financial management, but family financial education significantly influences financial management behavior, both directly and through financial self-efficacy. While lifestyle does not have a direct effect, it exerts a significant influence on financial management behavior through financial self-efficacy. These results have implications for promoting effective financial education within families and fostering financial self-efficacy to enhance overall financial management behavior in communities.
