Abstract

The tourist sector in Indonesia is crucial for stimulating economic growth, especially via regional development and employment generation.  As digitization alters tourist behavior, smart tourism has become a strategic necessity for destinations to maintain competitiveness in the digital age.  This study examines how NiMo Highland, a swiftly expanding nature-based tourist destination in Pangalengan, Bandung Regency, may utilize smart tourism technology to enhance visitor numbers.  The research used a qualitative descriptive methodology, incorporating strategic frameworks such the Ansoff Matrix, Marketing Mix (7Ps), PESTEL, and SWOT analysis to evaluate internal competencies and external environmental factors.  Findings indicate that although NiMo Highland succeeds in organic digital visibility and experience offers, deficiencies persist in ticketing digitalization, third-party platform integration, and consistent event-based promotions.  The study advocates for a smart tourism marketing strategy founded on three core components: (1) the integration of online travel agents (e.g., TikTok Go, Traveloka) to facilitate seamless bookings, (2) the deployment of RFID wristband technology to enhance visitor convenience and generate data-driven insights, and (3) the initiation of a signature annual event (Drone Show) to bolster brand positioning and seasonal attractiveness.  These efforts seek to improve tourist engagement and operational efficiency while contributing to the wider discussion on digital transformation in nature-based tourism locations throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

Jejunal atresia is a rare congenital anomaly causing intestinal obstruction in neonates, necessitating prompt diagnosis and surgical intervention for optimal outcomes. This case report highlights the management of a 10-day-old neonate presenting with persistent bilious vomiting, abdominal distension, and failure to pass meconium. Diagnostic imaging confirmed jejunal atresia, and the Santulli procedure was performed to restore intestinal continuity while allowing distal bowel decompression. Despite postoperative challenges, including sepsis and unstable vital signs, the case underscores the importance of timely surgical intervention and comprehensive postoperative care. The study aims to identify risk factors, diagnostic approaches, and effective management strategies for jejunal atresia in neonates. Research methods included clinical evaluation, imaging (X-ray), and exploratory laparotomy, followed by the Santulli procedure. Findings revealed type IV atresia with multiple lesions, treated surgically. However, the patient succumbed to sepsis 26 hours post-operation, emphasizing the critical need for early intervention and robust postoperative monitoring. The implications of this research stress the urgency of early diagnosis, appropriate surgical techniques, and multidisciplinary care to improve survival rates in such cases.

Abstract

The background of this research is the severe damage to the Boreng Dam in Lumajang Regency due to natural disasters, which disrupted irrigation and flood control functions. Significant differences between the 2017 and 2024 designs, both in terms of cost and structure, necessitate further analysis to determine the optimal design. The objective of this study is to compare the two designs in terms of stability, seepage, and cost efficiency, and to perform optimization to obtain the best solution. The research method starts from analyzing the difference between the 2017 design results and the 2024 design, then a calculation will be made on the bearing capacity of the pillar foundation. Using the Plaxis application, finite element method modeling was carried out on the stability of the weir body and examination of seepage. From the results of the study, the large price difference from the 2017 and 2024 designs is due to the difference in the type of weir markers that affect the volume of concrete, the use of K-300 concrete for the 2017 design is only found in the landmark blanket to the olak pond only, while the 2024 design also uses it on the upstream floor structure, then for the 2017 design does not use concrete pile foundations as many as 245 points like the 2024 design. The stability of the weir in the 2017 and 2014 designs both show a good level of safety with a safety factor value above 1.5 so that there is no need for additional reinforcement, but in the 2017 design it does not meet the lane seepage requirement with a minimum value of 8.5 for bare sandy soil, so optimization of the 2024 design is carried out with 2 modified models, namely reducing the depth of the pile from the original 6 meters to 3 meters and changing the dimensions to the original size of 40 x 40 cm to 25 x 25 cm. Material cost analysis for modification 1 showed a cost efficiency over the initial design of Rp. 259,554,225.00, while for modification 2 there was an efficiency of Rp. 884,561,475.00. The implication of this study is a recommendation to implement the 2024 design modification with 3-meter piles and dimensions of 25 x 25 cm as a safe and economical optimal solution.

Abstract

This study examines how Healthcare Service Quality and Perceived Value affect Revisit Intention through Patient Satisfaction at Siloam Hospitals. As Indonesia's largest network yet ranking below competitors, Siloam's patient satisfaction gaps impact its market position. Understanding these relationships is crucial for improving service quality and patient retention in competitive healthcare markets. The research aims to assess the direct and indirect effects of Healthcare Service Quality and Perceived Value on Revisit Intention, focusing on the mediating role of Patient Satisfaction. The study offers insights into improving patient loyalty and service quality in hospitals like Siloam. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed, collecting data via an online questionnaire from 313 patients at three Siloam hospitals in Jakarta. Simple random sampling was used, and data was analyzed with Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate the relationships between Healthcare Service Quality, Perceived Value, Revisit Intention, and Patient Satisfaction. Both Healthcare Service Quality and Perceived Value positively influence Patient Satisfaction. Perceived Value directly impacts Revisit Intention, while Healthcare Service Quality affects it indirectly through Patient Satisfaction. Healthcare Service Quality alone does not directly influence Revisit Intention. The study emphasizes the importance of Healthcare Service Quality and Perceived Value in boosting Patient Satisfaction, which leads to higher Revisit Intention. For Siloam Group to strengthen patient loyalty and improve its ranking, efforts should focus on providing high-quality services and ensuring patients perceive value commensurate with costs. Enhancing communication and transparency regarding service value may further improve patient experiences and encourage repeat visits.

Abstract

PLTD Merawangg in Bangka Island still relies on expensive diesel fuel, resulting in high operational costs carbon emissions. The Indonesian government initiated a dedieselization program to replace or hybridize diesel power plants with renewable energy sources such as solar and wind to reduce energy costs (COE) and emissions. This study aims to identify the most optimal and economical hybrid power plant configuration through simulation of on-grid and off-grid scenarios with varying renewable energy proportions. The method used is quantitative simulation based on electricity demand data, renewable energy potential, and equipment costs. The results show that a hybrid configuration of 75% solar PV hybrid 25% with diesel produces the lowest COE of 1.660 rupiah/kWh, significantly lower than the current PLTD COE and the Bangka Belitung provincial standard. This scenario is economically feasible with positive NPV values meeting investment criteria. Conversely, wind turbine configurations yield higher COE due to wind variability and expensive technology costs. The study’s implications support the dedieselization program by recommending solar-based hybrid configurations as an efficient and environmentally friendly solution for island regions.

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of applying Network-Centric Warfare (NCW) to strengthen Indonesia's national air defense resilience. The primary issue identified is the low integration level of the TNI air defense system, resulting in weak air deterrence and frequent violations of Indonesian airspace by foreign aircraft. The research focuses on the national air defense system and NCW as a strategy for enhancement. Using a descriptive-analytical method, the study analyzes secondary data from official documents, defense policies, and TNI military doctrine, providing a comprehensive overview of the current air defense status and how NCW can enhance military operations. Findings reveal that NCW significantly improves situational awareness by enabling real-time information exchange among military components such as radars, sensors, and air weapons systems. It facilitates better unit coordination and faster battlefield decision-making. However, challenges remain due to reliance on diverse foreign military equipment with different communication standards, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and limited human resources proficient in military communication technology. In conclusion, while NCW holds great potential to improve Indonesia’s air defense resilience, its optimal implementation requires modernizing communication infrastructure, enhancing interoperability among military systems, and developing skilled human resources. With strategic coordination, NCW can become a robust backbone of air defense, effectively countering modern threats like stealth fighters, hypersonic missiles, and armed drones.
