Abstract

This study examines land administration policies in Semarang City with a focus on gender justice. The main issue addressed is how land policies can provide fair and equal services for both men and women. This research employs a normative method by analyzing laws and regulations related to land services and gender justice principles, as well as evaluating their application in the context of Semarang City. The findings indicate that although regulations supporting gender equality exist normatively, their implementation still faces several challenges, such as the lack of gender perspective in technical policies and limited public outreach. Therefore, this study recommends the formulation of more gender-responsive policies and improved understanding among land administration officials regarding gender equality issues. Through a legal approach grounded in gender justice, land services are expected to become more inclusive and uphold the rights of all citizens without discrimination.

Abstract

The regulation of health services in Indonesia has been subject to heightened oversight in accordance with Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning Health. This legislative act encompasses provisions for the delivery of health services, in addition to the establishment of legal safeguards for patient rights. Among the rights protected by this legislation are the rights to privacy, confidentiality, and access to information. This study analyzes the legal dimensions that focus on cases in hospitals. The present study examines the legal protection of patient rights with regard to the act of recording or photographing without permission in the hospital. The aim of the study is to provide recommendations to strengthen patient privacy protection and more effective law enforcement. The study employs an empirical legal method, which involves the examination of normative legal provisions and the collection of primary data directly from the field through surveys, interviews, and field reports. The results of the study indicate that certain legal norms are not being implemented effectively. For instance, the rules in each area prohibit photography without authorization, and the hospital has established accountability measures for individuals who take pictures or record activities without permission. These individuals may be subject to sanctions.

Technical training involved practical sessions on cultivating vegetables and medicinal plants, with direct demonstrations on planting and care. The program included ongoing assistance to help residents implement the techniques learned, alongside regular monitoring and evaluation to gauge success and offer feedback. The final evaluation assessed the impact of education on home garden utilization and family nutrition. Results indicated that education significantly increased residents' gardening knowledge and skills. Periodic support was crucial for program sustainability, leading to a marked rise in home garden use for growing vegetables and medicinal plants, positively affecting family nutrition. The study concludes that structured and sustainable education is an effective strategy for improving nutrition through home gardens in rural communities.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of flexible working arrangement, perceived organizational support, work-life balance, and job satisfaction in increasing employee engagement in switching service provider companies. The research method used the Variance-based SEM approach with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique through SmartPLS software, and sample determination using the Slovin method. The results showed that flexible working arrangement, perceived organizational support, and job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee engagement, while work-life balance had no direct effect. However, job satisfaction has been proven to mediate the relationship between the three independent variables (flexible working arrangement, perceived organizational support, and work-life balance) and employee engagement. These findings indicate that although work-life balance does not have a direct effect, it plays an important role through increasing job satisfaction first. The implications of this study provide insight for switching service provider companies in developing effective human resource management strategies, with an emphasis on increasing job satisfaction as a key factor in building optimal employee engagement.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with very high biodiversity, including in terms of medicinal plants. In various regions, including South Brebes, traditional medicine practices based on local knowledge or ethnomedicine are still used by the community to overcome various health problems. This research aims to explore and document the ethnomedicine practices of the South Brebes community as the first step toward the independence of traditional medicine raw materials based on local wisdom. This study uses qualitative research methods. Data processing is described descriptively and presented in the form of tables and graphs. The results show that people in the South Brebes area, especially in Bumiayu, Tonjong, Paguyangan, and Benda Districts, are still actively using plants as traditional medicine to overcome various health problems, both mild and chronic. It is recorded that there are 73 species of plants used, with the leaf being the most dominantly used, followed by fruits, rhizomes, seeds, tubers, and other parts. The use of these medicinal plants includes the treatment of various diseases such as colds, fever, indigestion, hypertension, gout, diabetes, urinary tract infections, and chronic diseases such as stroke, cancer, and heart disease. In addition, medicinal plants are also used for body care purposes, such as facilitating menstruation, strengthening vitality, maintaining healthy skin, and increasing immunity. The existence and utilization of these medicinal plants reflect the local wisdom of the community in maintaining natural health and show great potential to be further developed in efforts to preserve and develop traditional medicines based on local biodiversity.
