Abstract

Abstrak. MThis study aims to describe the phenomenon of toxic friendship among late adolescents at University X, Badung, Bali. A toxic friendship is an unhealthy relationship characterized by manipulative and domineering behavior, a lack of empathy, and prolonged emotional pressure. This study employs a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method to explore the subjective experiences of students aged 18–21 who have experienced psychologically harmful friendships. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of four primary informants and supporting informants. The results of the study indicate that toxic friendships arise due to low self-confidence, excessive emotional attachment, social pressure, and academic demands. The impacts felt include stress, social anxiety, overthinking, decreased enthusiasm, loss of motivation to study, and even the desire to withdraw from social environments or drop out of college. These findings emphasize the importance of awareness of healthy boundaries in friendships and the need for educational institutions to support the creation of a positive social environment to maintain students' psychological well-being.

Abstract

Bullying is an action carried out by a group or a particular individual that aims to hurt or frighten others. This harassment or Bullying case still occurs today, one of them in Indonesia. Based on data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI), that from 2011 - 2018 showed an increase each year. During the 2016-2020 period the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) had received complaints from 480 children who were victims of Bullying at their schools. Seeing this, the preparation of this literature aims to provide an understanding to the reader about the dangers or negative impacts of Bullying on victims. The results showed that the impact of Bullying on the psychological victims was a decrease in self -confidence, anxiety, not wanting to get along, not excited, sad, angry, hated himself even to the tendency of depression. While the impact on the victim's academic achievement is, a decrease in learning motivation.

Abstract

Abstrak. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the work environment and work motivation in restaurant employees in Jembrana. There are 2 dimensions of the work environment that are measured, namely the Physical and Non-Physical work environment and the motivation theory used is the theory of motivation from Mc Clleland, in which there are three needs, namely achievement, affiliation, and power needs. Data collection was conducted online through WhatsApp groups involving 80 restaurant employees in Jembrana. The method used is quantitative method and uses the Spearman Rho correlation technique with the help of the SPSS version 22 application. In this study, it was found that there was a significant correlation between the work environment and work motivation where the significance of the work environment from each dimension of work motivation obtained was 0.00 which means that the result is <0.05 and there is a correlation coefficient result of 0.549 in the work environment and achievement work motivation, 0.722 in the work environment and affiliation work motivation, and 0.419 in the work environment and power work motivation which based on the Correlation Interval table the results obtained in the work environment test and achievement and power work motivation fall into the medium category, while in the work environment test and affiliation work motivation fall into the strong category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan tingkat stres akademik antara siswa Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri dan Swasta di Salatiga. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh kenyataan bahwa tekanan akademik yang dialami siswa dapat dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan pengelolaan sekolah, kurikulum, fasilitas, serta dukungan dari guru dan lingkungan belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode komparasi. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMA Negeri dan Swasta di Salatiga, dengan sampel berjumlah 284 siswa yang terdiri dari 205 siswa SMA Negeri dan 79 siswa SMA Swasta yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan berupa skala stres akademik yang disusun berdasarkan lima aspek dari Sun et al (2011). Data kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji T independen. Hasil analisis uji T, menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,033 (p < 0,05), yang menandakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan tingkat stres akademik yang signifikan antara siswa SMA Negeri dan Swasta, di mana siswa SMA Negeri mengalami tingkat stres akademik yang lebih tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa stres akademik dapat berbeda berdasarkan jenis sekolah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-image and self-confidence in adolescent girls in Badung Regency, Bali. This study applied a quantitative correlational approach with a sample of 386 adolescent girls in Badung Regency, Bali, who were selected through random sampling. The instruments for measuring self-image and self-confidence have undergone validity and reliability tests, resulting in very high reliability coefficients (0.981 for self-image and 0.979 for self- confidence), making them suitable for use in this study. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, the hypothesis was accepted because the p-value was < 0.001, confirming the existence of a relationship between self-image and self-confidence. The correlation value (r = 0.612) indicates a strong positive relationship, where an increase in self-image is directly proportional to an increase in self-confidence among adolescent girls. This study shows a strong positive relationship between self-image and self-confidence among adolescent girls in Badung Regency, indicating that the better the self-image, the higher the self-confidence.

Abstract

This research aimed to understand intrinsic motivation in individuals who engaged in weight training/fitness at Fitness X Denpasar based on Self-Determination Theory. The research used a descriptive quantitative approach, involving 161 members of Fitness X Denpasar who were selected through a probability sampling technique. The research employed a survey method with a Likert scale based on Self-Determination Theory (autonomy, relatedness, and competence) to measure the intrinsic motivation of Fitness X Denpasar members. After undergoing validity and reliability tests, the scale yielded 21 valid items with a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.968, which indicated high reliability. The results showed that, based on demographic characteristics (gender, age, education, and occupation), the majority of respondents at Fitness X Denpasar had intrinsic motivation that fell into the high to very high category according to Self-Determination Theory. This descriptive analysis indicated that the intrinsic motivation of individuals for weight training at Fitness X Denpasar was generally high according to Self-Determination Theory, with an average score of 75.80 and the majority of respondents in the high to very high categories. These findings affirmed that self-determination played a crucial role in shaping and maintaining individuals' intrinsic motivation for engaging in fitness training.
