Abstract

As a result of the spread of Covid-19, learning in primary schools must be done online. This learning system appears to be new for teachers and students, so it raises a lot of problems and polemics. The purposes of this study are to examine the learning process during the COVID-19 pandemic at SDN 45 Mulaeno and to find out how the teachers evaluate students’ performance at the school. This study employed qualitative research with observations, interviews, and document studies as data collection techniques. The data were then analyzed through the stages of data collection, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. The results showed that during the pandemic, learning at SDN 45 Mulaeno was still carried out face-to-face but with a limited time. In the face-to-face meeting, the teacher only gives assignments to students to do at their homes. Evaluation of student learning development was carried out by looking at the number of tasks that have been done by students for the affective and psychomotor aspects, and accumulating the value of these assignments for the cognitive aspects.Keywords: Learning during the pandemic, evaluation technic, elementary school

Abstract

This study attemps to analyze the implementation of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic at SD Negeri 92 Kendari. This type of research is qualitative with observation, interviews and documentation as data collection methods. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed (1) Teachers at SD Negeri 92 Kendari used WhatsApp more in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic compared to the zoom meeting application and several other learning applications (2) the implementation of bold learning was carried out at the homes of each student who starting with the teacher opening greetings, followed by attendance, then the teacher sending the material in the form of pictures or videos through the WhatsApp group, then the teacher explained the material through voice notes and gave student assignments with the allotted time. (3) evaluation of bold activities is carried out to find out the progress and development of learning at home, as well as the success of students after carrying out the learning process during the covid-19 pandemic, then the results of the evaluation can be activated in improving student learning.Keywords: Online learning at Elementary School, Covid-19 Pandemic

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the pedagogic competence of early childhood education teachers who hold PAUD undergraduate and non-PAUD undergraduate educational qualifications. This research employed descriptive qualitative research. Data were collected through interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis was in the form of data reduction techniques, data presentation and drawing conclusion. Testing the validity of the data was done by triangulation of sources, techniques and time. The results showed that teachers with PAUD undergraduate qualifications seemed to have an adequate understanding of the character and development of students which was implied in the selection of materials, media, and teaching materials which were then adjusted to the level of child development. On the other hand, teachers with non-graduate PAUD qualifications do not seem to understand well the mastery of the material, the making of lesson plans, and the evaluation of learning. To improve the quality of teachers, several implemented policies in TK Tunas Bangsa are encouring the teachers to continue to higher level of education, attend training related to the curriculum, and increase skills in operating computers.Keywords: Pedagogics Competence, PAUD Teachers

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the portrait of learning difficulties experienced by fourth grade students in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SD Negeri 1 Jaya Bakti and to examine the role of teachers in overcoming these learning difficulties. This research employed qualitative research with interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and data verification. The validity of the data was tested through extended observations, increased persistence, and triangulation techniques. The results showed that the forms of learning difficulties of students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) class IV SD Negeri 1 Jaya Bakti were lack of student motivation, slow to learn, and unable to learn. The teacher's role in overcoming students' learning difficulties in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) class IV at SD Negeri 1 Jaya Bakti is that the teacher becomes a facilitator and good role model for students and creates fun learning.Keywords: Teacher’s Role, Learning Difficulties, PAI Learning

Abstract

This study attempts to examine the improvement of thematic learning outcomes of students at MIN 1 Kendari by applying a picture and picture type of cooperative learning model. This study employed classroom action research with 34 participants of class IVc in the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. This research was conducted in three cycles with research procedures: planning, implementation, observation, evaluation and reflection. Data collection techniques used observations, interviews, tests, and documentation which were analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results showed that the students' thematic learning outcomes through the application of the picture and picture cooperative learning model increased. The students' learning mastery in the pre-cycle is 14.70% with an average value of 57.64 and after the first cycle of action, learning completeness reaches 47.05% with an average value of 64.11. Then the learning mastery of students in the second cycle reached 64.70% with an average value of 74.11 and in the third cycle, the learning mastery of students reached 94.11% with an average value of 88.52. The percentage increase in student learning outcomes from pre-cycle to cycle III was 93.11%.Keywords: Thematic Learning, Picture and Picture.
