Abstract

This study explores how restaurant atmosphere and service quality affect customer purchase intention in the casual dining sector, focusing on Megumi Mazesoba Restaurant. With increasing competition in the food and beverage industry, understanding the influence of environmental and service factors on consumer behavior is vital for business sustainability. The research addresses the decline in visitor numbers and revenue at Megumi Mazesoba in 2024 by assessing both the individual and combined effects of restaurant atmosphere and service quality on purchase intention. A quantitative approach was used, collecting data from 100 customers through structured questionnaires and analyzing the results with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings show that both restaurant atmosphere (path coefficient = 0.819) and service quality (path coefficient = 0.878) significantly and positively influence purchase intention, with service quality having a slightly stronger effect. These results highlight the importance of creating an appealing ambiance and maintaining high service standards to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty. From a business management perspective, the study suggests that restaurant managers should focus on cleanliness, staff training, and aesthetic improvements to foster positive customer experiences and encourage repeat visits.

Abstract

Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is a blood clotting condition characterized by thrombosis and obstetric disorders, more common in women. This case is rarely found in men due to vague symptoms. We reported a 34-year-old male patient who was admitted to Ulin Hospital on April 6, 2022 with complaints of headache, joint pain, and a history of autoimmune disorders. The patient develops cerebrovascular conditions at a young age. The diagnosis is made based on an anamnesis, physical examination, laboratory, and CT Scan, which shows Systemic Lupus Erytematous with APS. Laboratory results showed increased leukocytes, cholesterol, and coagulation, as well as high anticoagulant lupus. The therapies provided include methyl prednisolone, hyloquin, Myfortic, and the anticoagulant warfarin with a target of INR 2-3. The manifestations of APS and Lupus Erytematous vary, so a proper clinical approach is required. The diagnosis of APS in men is often overlooked due to the lack of obvious obstetric symptoms. Without supporting examinations, treatment cannot be carried out effectively, which can worsen the patient's condition. Patients are required to routinely monitor INR for anticoagulants, and evaluations are required for laboratory examinations to prevent economic losses.

Abstract

This study aims to explore Indonesian Generation Z's perceptions of the institution of marriage, identify factors driving marriage postponement, and understand the dynamics of social value change in contemporary society. Using a phenomenological qualitative approach, this research involved 15 participants aged 18-28 from South Jakarta, Bogor, and South Tangerang who were interviewed in-depth with semi-structured guidelines. Data analysis was conducted using NVivo software through open coding, axial coding, and selective coding stages. The results show that Generation Z still regards marriage as a sacred and meaningful institution, but positions it more personally and reflectively as a legal and emotional commitment undertaken consciously. The decision to postpone marriage is influenced by factors of financial readiness, mental and emotional maturity, and alignment of life vision and mission with partners. Meanwhile, social values about marriage have undergone significant shifts from primary life goals to flexible, egalitarian life choices based on self-actualization. Digitization and social media exposure are also found to be factors that strengthen anxiety toward long-term relationships, especially through negative narratives about divorce or unhealthy relationships. These findings align with Maslow's theory of needs, where Generation Z's decisions about marriage reflect the need for financial security, self-esteem, and self-actualization. This study makes an important contribution to enriching qualitative literature on Indonesian youth relationship dynamics, while offering recommendations for BKKBN, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and educational institutions in formulating youth empowerment policies and relationship literacy education.

Abstract

Underpricing remains a prevalent phenomenon in initial public offerings (IPOs) in Indonesia. Despite global and national economic uncertainties, statistical data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) reveal significant growth in both the investor base and the number of IPOs during the 2020–2024 period. This study aims to identify the determinants of underpricing for companies that conducted IPOs on the IDX between 2020 and 2024, with auditor reputation serving as a moderating variable. This quantitative research employs Signaling Theory to analyze the informational cues available during and after the IPO process. The independent variables examined in relation to underpricing include Return on Assets (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Earnings Per Share (EPS), and Firm Size, with Auditor Reputation incorporated as a moderating variable to assess its influence on the relationships. The study’s population consists of firms that completed IPOs on the IDX from 2020 to 2024. A purposive sampling technique was utilized, resulting in a final sample of 177 companies. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software, specifically applying the Moderated Regression Analysis method. The findings offer empirical evidence that DER has a significant effect on underpricing. In contrast, ROA, EPS, and Firm Size do not exhibit a statistically significant impact on underpricing. Furthermore, statistical tests indicate that Auditor Reputation does not enhance the moderating effect of ROA, DER, EPS, or Firm Size on underpricing.

Abstract

The construction industry faces complex challenges involving multiple phases, numerous stakeholders, and intricate interdependencies among activities. The Critical Path Method (CPM) is a proven technique for planning, organizing, and monitoring digital project scheduling activities. This research aims to develop a web-based application that implements CPM for project scheduling using the Python programming language. The study utilizes data from the Pancang Tiowor project by PT. Natural Indococonut Organik, with a contract value of Rp 5,145,000,000.00 and a 90-day execution period in 2024. The methodology comprises a literature review, requirements analysis, and CPM algorithm implementation, all integrated with an interactive interface built using the Streamlit framework. The application automatically computes Early Start (ES), Early Finish (EF), Late Start (LS), Late Finish (LF), and Slack values, while also providing network diagram visualizations. Validation results indicate that the web application delivers accurate calculations, consistent with both manual computations and Microsoft Project outputs. The identified critical path duration is 73 days, compared to the planned 90-day project duration, which provides a 17-day buffer for non-critical tasks. The application effectively offers an efficient, accessible, and user-friendly solution for digital project scheduling management.

Abstract

Suradadi District is one of the districts in Tegal Regency, located in the Pantura (North Coast) area of Java. The availability of clean water is a significant issue in coastal regions, as wells that have been dug often yield brackish to saline water. The objective of this study is to identify the distribution of seawater intrusion in the coastal area of Suradadi District, Tegal Regency. The method employed is the Vertical Electrical Sounding (VES) geoelectrical method at five measurement points, each spaced approximately 600 meters apart. Data acquisition was carried out at five parallel lines, with point spacing ranging from 300 to 1000 meters. Seawater intrusion in the study area is widespread, extending up to approximately ±2300 meters inland from the coastline. Intrusion was identified at depth intervals as follows: point 1 at depths of 0.5–27 meters, point 2 at 1–27 meters, point 3 at 3.5–13 meters, point 4 at 10–14 meters, and point 5 at 14–17 meters. The extent of intrusion in this area is primarily attributed to the lithological composition, which is dominated by alluvial deposits consisting of sand, silt, and clay.

Abstract

The foundation plays a crucial role in building structures by transferring loads from the superstructure to the stable soil layer beneath. Ensuring the adequacy of the foundation's load-bearing capacity is critical, and Static Axial Compressive Load Testing on foundation piles is essential to verify whether the piles can support the intended design loads. This study compares two commonly used static load test methods: the reaction pile test and the kentledge test, within the context of the TLT Tower 1 Supporting Facility Building Construction Project. The research aims to evaluate these methods based on implementation efficiency, result accuracy, cost-effectiveness, and worksite safety. A comparative analysis approach was employed, utilizing both test methods on the project site to assess their performance under field conditions. The results demonstrate that both methods possess distinct advantages and limitations. The reaction pile test method offers higher accuracy and operational efficiency under certain conditions, particularly in constrained site environments. Conversely, the kentledge test method is generally more cost-effective but may present limitations in terms of load precision and logistical complexity. These findings suggest that the selection of an appropriate static load testing method should be based on specific site conditions, testing objectives, and budgetary considerations. The study recommends a project-specific approach to foundation pile testing, aligning method selection with the unique requirements of the construction project.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic condition characterized by elevated blood sugar levels beyond normal limits. Data from the Ministry of Health in 2023 showed that 5.7 million people in the Banten region have DM, with 1.59 million in Tangerang Regency. A major factor contributing to the high prevalence of DM is the lack of knowledge about DM diet management and poor nutrition management behavior among patients. This study aims to assess the effect of DM diet management education using the plate method on knowledge and nutritional behavior of DM patients in Bencongan Village, Tangerang Regency. A quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was used with 36 participants selected through purposive non-probability sampling. Instruments included a knowledge questionnaire from Dickson-Spillmann et al. (2011), an SMDM behavior questionnaire, a feedback sheet, and a plate method observation sheet. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Wilcoxon test. Results showed significant improvements in both knowledge and behavior (p = 0.000, <0.05), with 100% of participants demonstrating good knowledge and 97.2% showing good behavior post-intervention. Behavioral observations from the first to third visit indicated a 77.8% increase in appropriate nutrition management behavior. This study concludes that DM diet management education using the plate method effectively enhances knowledge and nutritional behavior in DM patients. Future research should include larger samples, long-term behavioral observation, and monitoring of compliance with the plate method in DM diet management.

Abstract

The exclusive arrangement on supply restriction and territorial exclusivity practices in retail business that reflected and can be found in the trading terms agreement between retailer and its supplier can be seen as a strategic behavior applied by the retailer not only with the aim to increase the profits yet also to reduce the level of competition and potentially will restraint the opportunity for such competitor to enter the relevant market and offering the same products to their customers. The consequences from such restriction should make such retailer become the exclusive seller of the products in certain territory. Although the KPPU has the authority to conduct research and investigations, the KPPU does not have the authority to conduct searches of business actors who are suspected of violating Indonesian Anti-Competition Law and in conducting research and investigations, the KPPU is often constrained by the confidentiality of the company so that the KPPU cannot obtain the necessary company data. However, it is not new phenomenon that this kind of arrangements practices can be found ongoing in the market and cannot easily be seen. Indonesian Anti-Competition Law substantially is divided into 2 (two) arrangements, namely prohibited agreements and prohibited activities, including abuse of dominant position. This research to explore the issue regarding practices of the exclusive arrangement on supply restriction and territorial exclusivity between retailer and its supplier and aims to analyzes whether this form of exclusivity agreement contrary with the Indonesian Anti-Competition Law and affecting the business competition?

Abstract

This study addresses the persistent inconsistencies in the literature regarding the effectiveness of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) in Indonesia. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 70 Sinta-indexed articles from 2014-2024, we find that while human resource competence and internal control systems are the most studied determinants of financial reporting quality, their reported impacts are highly contradictory. Our analysis reveals these inconsistencies are not random but are systematically driven by contextual moderators, primarily entity type (government vs. private sector) and organizational maturity. The study’s primary contribution is the development of an integrated, context-contingent conceptual model. By synthesizing the D&M IS Success Model with Agency Theory and the Resource-Based View, this model reframes prior contradictions not as anomalies, but as predictable outcomes of complex contextual interactions. This provides a more cohesive theoretical foundation for future AIS research and offers a nuanced diagnostic tool for practitioners in emerging economies.
