Abstract

PT Syntax Corporation Indonesia operates in the F&B sector and requires a computerized employee attendance information system to provide precise, fast, and accurate information. The attendance process and recap calculations are still performed manually, which is time-consuming. With a computerized system, this research aims to analyze an Internet of Things–based employee presence system model using Agile methods. The method used to design and analyze the system’s advantages and disadvantages is the Agile methodology. The development flow is as follows: (1) Definition of Requirements, (2) Design, (3) Coding, (4) Testing, and (5) Operation and Maintenance. The results of this study indicate that the information system can minimize employee fraud in manipulating attendance and make it easier for institutions or companies to obtain detailed employee attendance and departure information. The implementation of an Internet of Things (IoT)–based employee presence system is an effort to facilitate employees in recording attendance and generating employee attendance reports. Based on tests and surveys on the use of an Internet of Things (IoT)–based presence system, it achieved an average usability of 79.16%, efficiency of 83.78%, and portability of 74.33%. The use of an Internet of Things (IoT)–based employee attendance system can simplify the attendance process, record employee attendance data, and reduce the risk of losing paper-based attendance records. This system can also improve the overall effectiveness and efficiency of attendance management through automation.

Abstract

Introduction: Leprosy is a chronic disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae and manifests as damage to the skin and peripheral nerves. Globally, a total of 176,176 cases (0.2 cases per 10,000 population) were recorded for treatment at the end of 2015. Southeast Asia accounted for 72% of the global burden of new cases and 60% of global leprosy disabilities. Out of 14 countries globally reporting more than 1,000 cases annually, six are from the Southeast Asian Region. Method: This research is an epidemiological analytic study using a cross-sectional approach. The study population includes all managers and leprosy focal points from all Community Health Centers (CHCs) in Timor-Leste, with an estimated number of 136. Result: The findings of the study indicate that health policy, human resources, and drug supply influence leprosy elimination status, with the following results: 0.631 > 0.05, 0.569 > 0.05, and 0.396 > 0.05, respectively, from the perspective of CHC managers, and 0.384 > 0.05, 0.195 > 0.05, and 0.071 > 0.05 from the perspective of leprosy focal points. These results show that the hypothesis of no influence of health policy, human resources, and drug supply on the maintenance of leprosy elimination status was rejected. Conclusion: Based on the results outlined above, it can be concluded that health policy, human resources, and drug supply influence the status of leprosy elimination in Timor-Leste. Despite these results, this study also found that 53% of Community Health Centers in Timor-Leste are not properly implementing activities related to these three variables.

Abstract

This study discusses the criminal liability of medical personnel based on Law No. 17 of 2023 concerning health in Indonesia. The background of this research is the increasing number of lawsuits against medical personnel due to rising public awareness of patient rights, as well as the legal uncertainty faced by medical personnel regarding malpractice. The aim of this research is to analyze the criteria for criminal negligence in medical services and to understand the legal protection mechanisms through the Professional Disciplinary Council and mediation to prevent the criminalization of medical personnel. This research employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches. The findings show that Law No. 17 of 2023 provides a clearer framework for the criminal accountability of medical personnel, emphasizing gross negligence and adherence to professional standards. The study also found that the recommendation mechanism from the Professional Disciplinary Council, along with the requirement for mediation, can help prevent baseless criminalization. In conclusion, this law provides better legal protection for medical personnel and reduces legal uncertainty in medical practice.

Abstract

The transition to a digital financial system, including the presence of cryptocurrencies, requires further exploration of the determinants of its adoption. This study analyzes the role of technology awareness and government support for use intent by utilizing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework which is extended through mediation variables: perception of benefit, convenience, and risk. Through an explanatory quantitative approach, data was collected from 190 millennial and Z participants in Indonesia using the snowball sampling technique. Path analysis is performed using IBM AMOS. The results confirm that technology awareness and government support are significant in shaping perceptions of benefits, convenience, and risks (H1–H6 supported). However, the three mediation variables did not have a significant effect on the behavioral intention in adopting crypto (H7–H9 was rejected). These findings suggest that crypto adoption among Indonesia's younger generation is driven more by non-technical factors such as Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) and short-term speculative motives, rather than rational considerations regarding the benefits of technology. Implicitly, FinTech regulators and service providers need to develop educational strategies that emphasize risk literacy more than just the technical aspects of the application.

Abstract

Product recommendations generally appear when users search through search engines such as Google or directly on e-commerce platforms. The platform not only displays one option but also presents several alternatives from various sellers, allowing consumers the convenience of determining the best option according to their needs. Consumers generally expect a variety of product choices because they consider quality, price, and service simultaneously. Therefore, the presence of multiple recommendations is indispensable in today’s digital shopping ecosystem. Based on research conducted through surveys and supported by SWOT and Balanced Scorecard methods, it was concluded that the use of product recommendations in search received a high score, ranging from 4 to 5. These results suggest that product recommendations have the potential to increase public purchasing power; however, they may also encourage unplanned purchases by consumers. The problem previously faced was related to the lack of comprehensive product information on the platform. Platforms that are able to present the most complete and timely information tend to become the primary choice for consumers when shopping. This research identifies the function of product recommendations as a foundation for changing consumer mindsets while providing a wide variety of choices. With a neutral recommendation system, no seller can dominate the market unilaterally. This condition promotes fair pricing and encourages every seller to offer the best products to consumers.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are essential competencies that students who are prospective elementary school teachers must possess to face the challenges of the 21st century. This research aims to analyze the critical thinking ability profile of prospective elementary school teacher students on the concept of the human digestive system. The research method used was quantitative descriptive with 48 research subjects of the second semester of the PGSD Study Program. The data collection instrument was in the form of an essay test of 10 questions that included five indicators of critical thinking. The results showed that the average score of students' critical thinking ability was 23.19 (57.97%) which was included in the medium category. Based on the achievement of indicators, the highest percentage was achieved in the concluding indicator (66%), while the lowest percentage was found in the indicator of building basic skills (51%). This shows that although students are able to draw contextual conclusions, they are still weak in formulating in-depth scientific arguments.

Abstract

Mesenchymal stem/stromal cells (MSCs) have emerged as a promising therapeutic platform for neurological and spinal disorders due to their immunomodulatory, trophic, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties. Clinical studies have evaluated MSCs via intravenous (IV) and intrathecal (IT) or intraspinal routes, yet the translational rationale for combining systemic and targeted spinal delivery remains insufficiently synthesized. C-arm-guided spinal administration may enhance procedural precision, optimize cerebrospinal or peri-spinal targeting, and potentially improve regional bioavailability. This review aimed to examine the clinical rationale, safety profile, and therapeutic potential of combined MSC administration through IV and C-arm-guided spinal routes, focusing on neurological recovery, pain, functional independence, and spinal health-related performance. The study was structured as a PRISMA 2020-aligned systematic review with a meta-analytic framework. Evidence was synthesized from comparative clinical literature on MSC therapy in spinal cord injury, stroke sequelae, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, and related disorders. Risk of bias was assessed using RoB 2 and ROBINS-I. A route-specific quantitative safety meta-analysis was performed using extractable data on treatment-related serious adverse events. From 2,308 identified records, 9 studies were included in the qualitative synthesis and 6 primary studies in the safety meta-analysis. Evidence indicates that IT delivery is feasible and generally safe, with no consistent signal of serious procedure-related toxicity. In spinal cord injury, IT MSC delivery demonstrated encouraging neurological improvement signals. IV delivery offers broader systemic immunomodulation. In the pooled safety analysis, treatment-related serious adverse events were rare, with estimates approaching zero and no detectable heterogeneity.

Abstract

This study discusses the misuse of social media as a means of illegal electronic transactions in the Ambon Class I Type A Navigation District, particularly in relation to cyber fraud and identity abuse in the digital era. The research aims to analyze the forms of social media misuse, identify the modus operandi used by perpetrators, and evaluate the effectiveness of law enforcement against cybercrime involving government institutions. This research employed a normative juridical method using statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. Primary legal materials included the Indonesian Electronic Information and Transactions Law, the Criminal Code, and the Personal Data Protection Law, while secondary materials consisted of journals, books, and relevant legal documents. The findings reveal that the primary form of abuse involved fictitious PPPK recruitment fraud through fake social media accounts, falsified electronic documents, phishing practices, and manipulation of institutional identities, resulting in significant financial losses for victims. The study also found that law enforcement remains ineffective due to limitations in digital forensic infrastructure, difficulties in identifying anonymous perpetrators, weak coordination among institutions, and low public digital literacy. Furthermore, the absence of verified official social media accounts increased the vulnerability of institutional identity misuse. The study concludes that although Indonesia has adequate legal regulations to address cybercrime, effective law enforcement requires stronger digital infrastructure, improved investigative capacity, verified digital communication channels, and greater public awareness regarding cyber fraud prevention.
