This study aims to analyze the effect of profit-and-loss sharing (PLS)-based financing on the financial stability of Islamic banks from the perspective of Maqashid Shariah. The study employs a quantitative explanatory approach using the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) method through the WarpPLS 7.0 software. The data used are secondary data obtained from the financial statements of five Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia namely Bank Syariah Indonesia, Bank Muamalat Indonesia, Bank Mega Syariah, Bank Panin Dubai Syariah, and Bank BCA Syariah overing the period 2019 - 2024. The results reveal that PLS-based financing has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on the financial stability of Islamic banks, with a path coefficient of β = 0.28 and a significance value of p = 0.06. Meanwhile, the Maqashid Shariah variable shows a weak positive influence on financial stability (β = 0.10; p = 0.30) and does not significantly moderate the relationship between PLS-based financing and financial stability. The R² value of 0.11 indicates that the model explains only 11% of the variation in financial stability, while the remaining 89% is influenced by other factors such as operational efficiency, macroprudential policies, and capital structure. These findings highlight the need to enhance the systematic implementation of Maqashid Shariah principles in financing policies, risk management, and the development of maqashid-based performance indicators, so that the profit-and-loss sharing principle can function optimally in strengthening the financial stability of Islamic banking in Indonesia.

ABSTRACT The dominance of Islamic banking in the national financial system remains relatively low, with a market share of financial assets of 7.3 percent as of 2023. This study aims to measure the level of efficiency of Islamic banking in Indonesia using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach and analyze variations in financial performance between Islamic banks during the 2021–2024 period. The results of the study indicate that the efficiency of Islamic banks in Indonesia remains variable. BTPN Syariah has the highest level of efficiency, followed by Panin Dubai Syariah and Victoria Syariah. On the other hand, Muamalat and Aladin Syariah were recorded as the lowest. Four of the nine Islamic banks have below-average efficiency, including BSI with an efficiency value of 62.55 percent. This shows that the size of assets does not guarantee high efficiency, as efficiency is more determined by the effectiveness of resource management. These findings suggest the need to enhance efficiency through digitalization, optimize resource management, and innovate products and services, enabling Islamic banks to become more competitive and sustainable. This article aims to explore the initial perceptions and readiness of the community to participate in the planned establishment of Koperasi Merah Putih (Red and White Cooperative) in Kurai Taji Village, Pariaman City. This initiative is part of a national government program designed to strengthen community-based economic systems, and it is scheduled to be officially launched in December 2025. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach, this study investigates the thoughts, attitudes, and expectations of local residents through in-depth interviews, social observation, and relevant documentation. The findings indicate that most community members express enthusiasm toward the establishment of the cooperative as a means of promoting local economic empowerment. However, a lack of information and limited understanding of cooperative mechanisms still hinder their full readiness for active involvement. Therefore, adaptive and participatory communication strategies are necessary to ensure the successful implementation of this cooperative in the near future. Keywords : cooperative, community perception, participation readiness, village economic development, qualitative study.

This study aims to analyze the application of fiqh muamalah principles in modern digital financial systems, particularly on paylater, e-wallet, and marketplace platforms. The research focuses on assessing the conformity of digital transactions with Islamic legal principles, namely clarity (bayān), justice (‘adl), and the avoidance of riba, gharar, and maysir. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive library method, analyzing scholarly journals and relevant Islamic finance fatwas from 2020–2025. The findings indicate that paylater systems comply with Sharia if they employ the bai‘ bi tsaman ājil contract without interest or time-based penalties. E-wallet platforms are permissible when free from hidden charges and uphold transparency in user rights and obligations. Likewise, marketplace operations are Sharia-compliant if they ensure clarity of contract objects, fair pricing (thaman al-mithl), and consumer protection (ḍamān). In conclusion, digital financial innovations can be harmonized with Islamic law when grounded in the principles of al-‘ibrah fī al-mu‘āmalāt bimā fī nafs al-amr and al-ma‘rūf ‘urfan kal-mashrūṭ sharṭan, thus aligning with the objectives of Sharia (maqāṣid al-syarī‘ah).

The solow neoclassical growth model is a theoretical framework that emphasizes the role of capital accumulation, labor, and technological progress as the main determinants of growth and can measure the structure of economic growth on the island of Sumatra, which has good natural resource characteristics. This study analyzed 154 districts/cities in Sumatra using the quantitative methodology of pooled least square regression. Findings: The results of the study indicate that together government expenditure, investment, industry, and unemployment rates are very high in determining the variation in economic growth values in Sumatra, namely 91.24% and the remaining 8.76% is determined by other variables. This indicates that the Solow Economic Growth model is quite well described in economic growth in Sumatra, although there are still variables that have a low influence. This study explores the factors influencing customer satisfaction among Generation Z users of the Ollin mobile banking service by Bank Nagari in Padang City. The research focuses on three key variables: User Interface/UI, User Experience/UX, and Service Quality. Using a quantitative approach with Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), the study involved 100 respondents aged 15–26 years in Padang City. The findings reveal that, individually, User Interface and Service Quality have a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction, highlighting their critical role in enhancing user experience. In contrast, User Experience shows a positive but statistically insignificant effect. When examined simultaneously, all three variables, UI, UX, and Service Quality, positively influence customer satisfaction, indicating that their combined effect can improve overall satisfaction among Generation Z users. These results underscore the importance of a well-designed interface and high-quality service in meeting the expectations of digital banking customers.

This study aims to analyze the effects of Domestic Investment (PMDN), Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), economic growth, and wages on labor absorption in Indonesia. The study utilizes panel data from 34 provinces in Indonesia over the period 2020–2024, employing the Random Effect Model (REM) approach. The results indicate that PMDN has a positive and significant effect on labor absorption, while FDI has a positive but non-significant effect. Economic growth is found to have a negative and significant impact on labor absorption, whereas wages exert a negative and significant effect. These findings highlight the crucial role of domestic investment in job creation, while suggesting that wage policies and economic growth need to be managed carefully to avoid hindering labor absorption. The study provides important implications for the formulation of economic and labor policies that support sustainable and optimal employment generation.

This study aims to analyze the management of professional zakat in poverty alleviation programs implemented by the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Situbondo Regency. Poverty remains a persistent socio-economic problem that requires alternative instruments beyond government fiscal policies, including Islamic social finance mechanisms such as zakat. This research employs a qualitative approach using document-based analysis. Data were obtained from official reports of BAZNAS Situbondo, relevant regulations on zakat management, and statistical data on poverty issued by authorized institutions. The data were analyzed descriptively and analytically to examine the stages of zakat management, including collection, distribution, and utilization of professional zakat funds in relation to poverty alleviation objectives. The findings indicate that the management of professional zakat by BAZNAS Situbondo has been structured in accordance with existing regulations and oriented toward both consumptive and productive poverty alleviation programs. However, several challenges remain, particularly in optimizing the potential of professional zakat and strengthening its integration with broader poverty reduction strategies. This study contributes to the literature on Islamic economics by providing empirical insights into local-level zakat management and offers policy recommendations for improving the effectiveness of professional zakat as an instrument for poverty alleviation.
