Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational justice on employee fraud mediated by whistleblowing intention in the context of banking in Jakarta. The research sample consisted of 78 bank employees working in various branches in Jakarta. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through Smart PLS software. The results showed that organizational justice has a significant influence on employee cheating. This finding indicates that employees' perceptions of fairness in their workplace are directly correlated with the likelihood of fraud. In addition, the study also found that whistleblowing intentions serve as a mediator in this relationship, suggesting that the propensity to report unethical or suspicious activities is a key factor in reducing the incidence of fraud. These results have important implications for bank management in developing fraud prevention strategies, particularly through enhancing organizational justice and promoting a whistleblowing culture. This study provides new insights into the dynamics of employee fraud and its prevention mechanisms, highlighting the important role of organizational justice and whistleblowing intentions in the context of banking in Jakarta

Abstract

This study investigates the role of competitive strategy and green supply chain management (GSCM) in the performance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in West Java. Using a sample of 87 MSMEs, data was collected through questionnaires distributed to various MSMEs in the West Java region, using a Likert scale for response evaluation. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) through the Smart PLS program. The results of this study indicate that both competitive strategy and GSCM have a significant influence on MSME performance. Competitive strategy, which includes product differentiation, cost leadership, and market focus, has improved the operational efficiency, market responsiveness, and competitive advantage of MSMEs. Meanwhile, the implementation of GSCM, which emphasizes environmentally friendly operations and sustainable resource management, not only improves compliance with environmental regulations but also strengthens the reputation and legitimacy of MSMEs in the eyes of stakeholders and consumers. These findings confirm the importance of adopting and integrating innovative and sustainable business practices to improve MSME performance. Consequently, this study suggests the need for more strategic policy interventions and support for MSMEs to develop their capacity in competitive strategy and GSCM, thereby strengthening their position in the market and their contribution to the regional economy and environmental sustainability

Abstract

The very soft soil commonly found in South Kalimantan, especially in Banjarmasin, with conditions of tidal swampy land, poses a challenge when it comes to the development of areas intended for medium-scale building construction. The demands of the population and the increasing need for housing necessitate the addition of residential levels, both by the government and private entities. This will undoubtedly open up new areas, and housing development will become a top priority in order to realize this. This research process is conducted in the field and in the laboratory, using soil material tested with the cone penetration test (CPT) method and data processing to identify the type and characteristics of the soil, ensuring they remain unchanged during the analysis of field data. Original samples are also taken for the purpose of analyzing the selection of foundation reinforcement types. Very soft clay soil is identified from the location of Gunung Meranti in Banjarmasin. This data is used for the analysis of bearing capacity, settlement analysis, characteristics, and identification, which will be correlated with the results of previous testing conducted in the laboratory using the Unconfined Compression Test (UDS) method in nearby locations. The results of field investigation data in the form of manometer readings are expected to assist the author as indicators in measuring and analyzing the type and characteristics of the soil, as well as the bearing capacity of the subgrade soil in the laboratory, based on the results of the CPT

The blast in India's retail area has fascinated numerous players-both at the public and global level-to receive the rewards of development in the retail business. The upsurge in the retail business has seriously changed the whole idea of shopping as far as the most recent organizations that are embraced and furthermore by virtue of customer purchasing conduct. There were days when buyers had a more independent attitude. Global brands where unfathomable and there was no openness of the assortments presented by the worldwide players. Shopping was more viewed as an action or an awkward undertaking where it was simply done to satisfy ones needs. Be that as it may, presently the circumstance appears to have taken a fast turn where in the wake of opening of the economy and passage of MNCs, shopping is appeared to be more as a joy and involvement in a wide assortment of items to browse the accessible. The blast of present-day retail design is clear from the rambling retail outlets, multistory shopping centers with amusement and food all under a solitary rooftop, stores, and hypermarkets, every one of them making shopping a pleasurable encounter. The monetary push of the 90's as confirmed in vigorous GDP development, more grounded money stores and dynamic market and working climate are impelling India on a direction of outstanding development in the area of retail exchange. The post advancement has seen retail arise as a dawn area. The financial advancement and expanded buyers mindfulness have given a driving force to retail change

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the challenges and coping strategies of night junior high school learners in learning sequences and series through Mathematics in a Box. It involved a case study of a class of grade 10 Night Class learners in the Philippines. The principles of constructionism and symbolic interactionism backed up the thematic analysis of the data. During a six-week conversation, classroom observations and journal writing were done. Five learners participated in one-on-one interviews, and 10 in focus group interviews. Participants struggled with understanding, intricacy of rules, misconceptions, and with personal circumstances. Their coping strategies: dissecting the problem; speaking in a comfortable language; doing independent study; and reflecting on their answer. There is potential in using mathematics in a box to address challenges while learning sequences and series

Abstract

Since human resources are assets to the organizations, it is important to draw attention to their work life balance aspect. It is highly important in the industrial sector where the employees have to devote a lion’s share of their time for work and are hardly striving to balance their work lives and personal lives. The Toiling Class theory propounded by late former minister Sri KM Mani, clearly points out the relevance of work life balance. According to this theory, there are two classes of working people which include ruling class and toiling class where the latter (toiling class) is prone to the exploitation of the former (ruling class). Such exploitation probably results in detrimental effect on the work life balance of the toiling class.  The researcher aims to analyze the work life balance of industrial workers in Kerala. A convenient sample of 116 industrial workers working in different industries in Kozhikode, Malappuram and Ernakulam Districts of Kerala were selected as a part of the study. Average Score Analysis, Independent sample t test and One Way ANOVA are the statistical tools used by the researcher for analyzing the Work Life Balance problems of the respondents. The results of analysis showed that there is moderate to high existence of work life balance problems or work life imbalances among the respondents. Various concerns of work life imbalance incorporated from the previous studies have proved to be the effect on the employees in the present study also. The findings of the present study provide worthy suggestions to the researchers, academicians and policy makers to understand and consider the work life balance problems of the industrial workers in Kerala
