Abstract

This study investigated the food preferences and consumption of elementary school pupils and the factors that influence them. A stratified random sampling with equal allocation was used to determine the respondents of the study from among the pupils in an elementary school in Palo, Leyte. The 3-point hedonic food preference scale and the 3-point hedonic food consumption scale were also used in the study to determine which foods were preferred and consumed by the pupils. The scale used in this study was based on the foods available in the respondent’s environment and the factors reported in the relevant research literature. The gathered data were subjected to different statistical treatments in order to answer the research questions. This study was able to determine the food preferences and food consumption of basic education students. Moreover, the study findings may provide deeper insights into food preference and food consumption among elementary school pupils and contribute useful information to future research.

Abstract

Hotel occupancy rates fell to 12 percent during the height of the COVID pandemic. Bogor is a city of Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and events (MICE), particularly for the hotel sector, and it is currently in a process of recovery following a pandemic. The public's altered behavior during the pandemic has influenced hotels' reassessment of their products. When it comes to the government sector, the usage of online and digital media has a profound impact on meeting attendees. Descriptive qualitative methodologies were used, specifically SWOT analysis, and data was gathered via a literature study and an examination of social media platforms.  The findings indicate that a strategy to strengthen hotel branding in Bogor as a MICE hotel and leisure on weekdays as an alternative target group is required in order to meet the demands of potential customers. In the era following the pandemic, a good marketing strategy will require the creation of new products and services, as well as the introduction of innovative approaches to existing ones.Hotel occupancy rates fell to 12 percent during the height of the COVID pandemic. Abstract

Cognitive learning activities through the introduction of animals in Early Childhood (AUD) have a very important role in developing all children's potential. One of them is the potential intelligence of children. AUD is a pretty good stage for training the brain of a child, where they will be more interested and active when they see a game or such that contains a lot of animation and sound. With the existence of game-based animal recognition learning media, it will be an interesting thing for early childhood, namely kindergarten, as well as teachers when interacting and conducive to learning. This learning medium contains several learning points and games that train children's cognitive abilities. There is a learning menu to recognize the name of the animal and its voice, then the game composes the word and guesses the illustration image of the animal, as well as the support of singing videos about animals given by the teacher to children. Game-based learning media is built using constructivism, using Luther Sutopo's method. The result of this research is an animal recognition learning medium for early childhood.

Abstract

Making bioethanol from papaya fruit is done through a fermentation process. Yield is influenced by the duration of fermentation and the mass variation of the bread yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The pH treatment and initial sugar content of the substrate were also tested before the addition of glucose. This study aims to examine the effect of yeast concentration and fermentation time on the amount of bioethanol produced from papaya fruit in the manufacture of bioethanol. The maximum concentration of bioethanol produced by a concentration of 2% S. cerevisiae is 5.44% due to the addition of yeast, according to the number of nutrients in the sample. In order of concentration from high to low, it is 2% > 4% > 3% > 5% > 1%. While the maximum pH value of 4.9 with a concentration of 2% was obtained in ethanol production by Saccharomyces cerevisiae.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of mortality on Anopheles sp . vector of malaria due to exposure to mosquito coils and male breadfruit mats. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD), in which 180 Anopheles sp. divided into 3 groups with 3 replications, Anopheles sp. placed in 9 plastic cups, where each plastic contains 20 Anopheles sp larvae, then reared until they become mosquitoes in a mosquito net box. The results obtained were analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and continued with the Duncan test at real rate a= 0.05 using SAS software and continued with the smallest significant difference test to determine the difference in the treatment given. The results showed that the use of mosquito coils and electric mats for male breadfruit flowers had the same mortality effect, where the percentage of mortality was 100%.
