Abstract

Multiple Disabilities with Visual Impairment (MDVI) refers to individuals with visual impairments—ranging from total blindness to partial vision or residual vision—accompanied by additional limitations. These limitations may include cognitive, developmental, hearing, or mobility impairments. Orientation is utilizing functional senses to position oneself relative to significant objects in the surrounding environment. At the same time, mobility refers to the ability to move from one location to another in a practical, precise, and safe manner. Orientation and mobility are interdependent; orientation is ineffective, and mobility cannot function without orientation. Similarly, social and communication skills are interconnected, as communication skills positively impact the social aspects of multiple disabilities with visual impairment (MDVI) students. This study examines the effectiveness of The Orientation Mobility Social Communication(OMSC) based Universal Design for Learning for students with MDVI. Specifically, it explores the application of OMSC learning in a school with a unique setting that researchers in the Banten area used as research objects. The study employs a mixed-methods research approach, integrating qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The findings demonstrate that media and subject matter experts validated the developed instructional guide, and its trial implementation with students revealed improvements in OMSC skills. These improvements were observed through graphical analyses during baseline 1, intervention, and baseline 2 phases. The study concludes that implementing The Orientation Mobility Social Communication (OMSC) Learning Based Universal Design for Learning is effective for MDVI students, as evidenced by enhancing their OMSC skills during the intervention.

Abstract

Students are expected to be able to fulfill physics learning objectives according to the basic abilities established by process skills training. Furthermore, this research aims to determine how PhET media influences student learning outcomes for constant acceleration and uniform acceleration concepts. Thinking when solving problems, facilitating group or individual searches, facilitating conversations between students to motivate them to acquire knowledge, and assessing the problem-solving process. Non-equivalent Control Group Research is a type that is conducted. This design is very similar to a pretest-posttest control group design, except that the experimental and control groups are not randomly selected. After analyzing the data in Excel, continue with SPSS. Based on the research results, the control group that used traditional learning materials had an average posttest score of 67. In contrast, the experimental class that used PhET learning materials to improve student learning outcomes had an average posttest score of 78.

Abstract

The study investigated principal supervision competence in Lagos central senatorial district secondary schools. The research design used for the study was a descriptive survey. One hypothesis was developed, along with two research questions. There were 225 responses in the sample size. The teachers were chosen randomly, and fifteen items were used as the data gathering tool. The mean and standard deviation were used to analyze the data to answer the research questions, and the t-test was used to evaluate the hypotheses at 0.05. The research's findings showed how important it is to analyze the principal's supervision in secondary schools. As a result, suggestions were made that the Lagos State Ministry of Education constantly remind principals that their roles should be to support teachers rather than to criticize them. The Lagos state government should assign more qualified and capable principals to meet the burdens of principals' aiming at teachers. Additionally, the principal should always make helpful suggestions and respect the best advice teachers need. All of these things should be done to help teachers advance their teaching skills through collaboration with teachers.

Abstract

Foreign Language Anxiety (FLA) is a common phenomenon among students, particularly those learning a foreign language. This study aims to investigate the factors that cause students to experience anxiety when learning English. The research method employed is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data were gathered using in-depth interviews, observations, and questionnaires distributed to 100 students from various departments at Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa. The study's findings revealed that the primary causes of anxiety are (1) fear of making mistakes in front of friends, (2) lack of confidence in English language skills, (3) pressure from lecturers or a competitive learning environment, (4) less interactive teaching methods, and (5) a lack of preparation and basic knowledge of English. Furthermore, students who had negative experiences with previous English language learning exhibited higher levels of anxiety. This study concludes that psychological, pedagogical, and social factors all have a significant impact on student anxiety levels. As a result, efforts must be made to create a supportive learning environment, such as using more inclusive teaching methods, increasing student self-esteem, and providing adequate guidance. This research is expected to help the development of more effective English learning strategies in higher education.
