<![CDATA[This study focuses on the discussion on education policies issued by the Orde Lama government along with their influence on the existence of madrasas in Indonesia. Especially after the issuance of recommendations from Badan Pekerja Komite Nasional Pusat, the establishment of the Ministry of Religion along with its policies, until the publication of Republic Indonesian Law No.4 of 1950 concerning the Basics of Education and Teaching in Schools. The method used in this study is library research. The purpose of this study is to provide broader and more in-depth insight into the conditions of the madrasa in Orde Lama era. Conceptually, this era was considered as the initial milestone in the development of madrasa towards a more modern system of religious education, which combines religious subjects and general subjects in them.]]>

<![CDATA[This research and development (R&D) study is conducted to develop Interactive Listening Comprehension Materials in Self-Learning Center (SLC) for the Students at State Islamic Institutes (IAIN) Kediri. The research involves the students of basic level of the university students, SLC advisor, and four experts. The instruments in needs survey consist of questionnaires, an interview guide, and field notes. The data from the students is calculated in percentage and those from the SLC advisor and from the field notes are described in qualitative way. The data from needs survey is used as the basis for the materials development. A validation form is used to collect the experts’ judgment on the materials. <![CDATA[Al-Qur’an is the verses of Allah or sayings of Allah derived form the Arabic language, which is the only language maintained. Because the Qur’an unloaded by rote rather than writing, so every revelation that the prophet told to write down and memorize it. With the Qur’ans that we learnt and we memorized it really helps the students to practice and develop their thinking and the power of reason, so that it can optimally use your common sense. Thus, the results or the learning achievement of students will also increase along with the intellectual acuity obtained from the process of understanding and memorizing verses of the Qur’an little by little to be perfect. In this study the authors conducted a field study conducted at the scene of the symptoms with the method used is quantitative method. Data collection techniques in the form of tests, observations, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. Once the data is collected, the researchers conducted a simple linear regression analysis using SPSS 20.0 software. And the results showed that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) filed accepted and nil hypothesis (H0) that was rejected. Evidenced by the results of the analysis outlined obtained significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 (probability value), using the t test results obtained by t calculate equal to 8.926 is greater than t table of 2.03224, which means that Memorizing the Holy Qur’an (X ) effect on student achievement (Y). Then there is a significant influence of Memorizing the Holy Qur’an (X) on student achievement (Y) is evidenced by the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.701 or equivalent to 70.1%.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to reveal the problems that arise when the implementasion of learning in inclusive school take place. Data collection techniques were conducted by interview, documentation, and field observation. Data analysis techniques using analysis of qualitative data verifikatif, that is knowing the hidden meaning behind phenomenon in research location. The result showed that there are four kinds of problem that exist, namely difficulties in modifying curriculum, lack of competence of teachers and students, lack of facilities and infrastructure that support learning and lack of support from parents and community. <![CDATA[This research discusses the less of students’ motivation in reading al qur’an as khotmil qur’an activity at MA Darul Faizin Assalfiyah Catak Gayam Mojowarno. The research result shows that this activity increased students’s motivation to learn especially in reding al qur’an. The head master supported it by giving reward to the class that was active in joing the khotmil qur’an activity, and punished those who did not join it. This activity contributed to students’ smoothness in reading al qur’an. Khotmil qur’an is done twice a week in rotation from class to another. And the students’ motivation is proved by their willingness to smoothen the reading of al qur’an becauseof the reward and punishment, and they also want to strngthens the kinship.]]>

<![CDATA[Discourse on gender in Indonesia often refers to figures from America, Europe and Arabia, so that there are still Eurocentric or arabisentric cases. An archipelago figure in the pre-independence era, Shaykh Ibn Umar al-Jawi al-Bantani, had composed a book that reviews the rights and obligations of a husband and wife. However, instead of getting appreciation, this book actually gets a lot of criticism because of the many narratives that still discredit women, ranging from books that make men big heads to accusations as a book that is the source of domestic violence. By using the five-angle approach study Amin Abdullah the author wants to express the big idea in the form of a gender equality narrative carried by Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani. This paper provides a conclusion in the form of gender equality carried by Shaykh Nawawi al-Bantani contained in the rights obtained by the wife from her husband and vice versa. By carrying out the association with ma'ruf Shaykh Nawawi gives an idea of ​​how the association of husband and wife in the household.]]>

<![CDATA[In sociolinguistics field, one of the most popular language contact phenomena is the phenomena of Code-Switching. Code-switching is a kind of sociolinguistics phenomenon occurs when two or more languages exist in a conversation. A sociolinguist says that Code-Switching, that is switching back and forwarding between languages, even during the same utterances. This research conducts a sociolinguistics research especially in Code-Switching Phenomena to answer the following questions: What kind of Code-Switching in terms of utterance unit (words, phrases and clauses) used by the students in the eighth semester of Sociolinguistics Class at English Department STAIN Kediri? Why do the students use “Code-Switching†in Communication? The researcher chooses this method is based on some characteristics of descriptive qualitative research methods that are appropriate for this research. The subject of the research is the students in the eight semester especially the students who join Sociolinguistics Class at English Department STAIN Kediri. They have to speak English in learning process. It can not be seen only from the case speaking but also how to speak English well and correctly.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to know Is there any significant effect when they are taught Reading Comprehensions by using JIGSAW and using SQ3R. The design used quasi-experimental research design. It was conducted in SMPN 1 BANYAKAN. The headmaster just gives two classes for the researcher. So the reseracher used two classes thre are: the class VII -D as experimental 1 and the class VII - C as experimental 2. The instrument was used. in this research the researcher used test both pre and post. The data gotten was analyzed by SPSS version 15.00 to find descriptive and effective before and after treatment. The result of the research are: independent T-test analysis the sig is 0.412 then the sig (2-tailed ) is .000. T value 6.325 is higher than the minimum requirement 2.65. so it can be condlude that the alternative hypothesis is “There is significant influence difference between students’ reading comprehension of using SQ3R better in reading comprehension than using Jigsaw to the First grades of SMPN 1 BANYAKAN.” Is accepted than the null hypothesis is rejected. It can be conclude that teaching reading comprehension using SQ3R more efective that Jigsaw in the first grade SMPN 1 Banyakan.]]>

<![CDATA[Newspapers are the oldest mass media and have become the spearhead of history in the birth of journalism. A high level of credibility is still a newspaper's criterion, when compared to other media. The news production process becomes the spotlight in production before being presented on the main page of a newspaper. Jawa Pos newspaper is one of the oldest media companies in East Java with one of the largest circulation in Indonesia. This study aims to determine and understand how the production process of headlines in the Jawa Pos newspapers becomes ready-to-print news as well as what obstacles are faced during the process and how are the solutions. The assessment method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative approach. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that in producing headlines in a daily newspaper, a fairly mature process is needed from each responsible element on each page, especially the main page. With this research, it is hoped that it can add to the knowledge of communication science studies, especially journalistic concentration on matters related to the news production process in the press world. And can be used as a reference for communication science students.]]>
