Abstract

Performance art group is a group of people who are experts in the particular art and usually invited to perform their artistic skills. Each region has tens or even hundreds of performance art groups. Communities run into problems in finding and booking the art group because the information of local art groups is not published effectively. A web based information system for searching and booking the performance art group is one of the solutions. The system is developed based on Waterfall model through four steps, which are analyzing, designing, implementation, and testing. The system is built by using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as Database Management System (DBMS). The existing features of the proposed system is performance art group registration, searching, and booking. This system makes the process of finding and booking can be done more efficiently in which people do not need to come directly to the address of the owner of an art group.

Abstract

Sentiment analysis or opinion mining, which is one of the application of Natural Language Processing (NLP), aims to find a method to facilitate human in communicating with a computer using their common language. To simplify the process of understanding human language, there are three important stages that must be carried out by a computer, which are tokenizing, stemming and filtering. The tokenizing that breaks down the sentence into a single word will make the computer assume all words (token) are the same. If there is a phrase formed from one of unimportant words, which is happened to be in the stoplist, the phrase will be deleted. Solution for the aforementioned problem is tokenizing based on phrase detection using Hidden Markov Model (HMM) POS-Tagger to improve classification performance using Support Vector Machine (SVM).With this approach, computer will be able to distinguish a phrase from others, then store the phrase into a single entity. There is an increase in accuracy by approximately 6% on Dataset I and 3% on Dataset II in the classification process using phrase detection, due to reduction of missing features that usually occurs in the filtering process. In addition, the detection of the phrase-based approach also produces the most optimal classification model, as seen from the ROC value that reaches 0.897.

Abstract

Telecommunication grows rapidly as the need of good quality network service increases. This is also followed by the increasing number of customers, and consequently the increasing number of connected devices in the communication and data networks. Each device in a network can recognize and communicate with each other using ARP MAC address translation mechanism which will consume a certain amount of network bandwidth, thus, will affect the quality of network services. This research analyze the consumption of network bandwidth due to MAC address translation mechanism against the number of devices connected to the network, using Spirent Test Center as the ARP traffic generator in the network. The result shows that bandwidth consumption increases as the number of connected devices increases. When the number reaches 20000 or more, bandwidth consumption increases significantly.

Abstract

Data on the web page can be available in various formats, such as table. With the growing of web pages, the need to extract data from tables is increasing. Results of the extraction can be used for integration with other web tables or stored in a database. This study discusses the extraction of data from a table on a web page using a Document Object Model (DOM) tree. The initial step of this extraction process is to transform the HTML document into a DOM tree. Then, by applying search methods Depth First Search (DFS), part of the data in the table is extracted and stored in a CSV file. An engine has been developed using Visual Basic. The results show that the engine can automatically extract data from the table that has the following characteristics: the number of rows and columns are not limited, able to handle all of the table orientation layout, and able to handle tables that are merged cells.

Abstract

This paper explores the implementation of refinement theory in questions composition for semantic webbased Arabic Learning game. The refinement theory is used to assess the degree of sophistication of the game, while semantic web is a concept that improves web document into web data. In this paper, a simple ontology about game questions composition is developed by implementing refinement theory to distinguish the difficulty of each level. This, hopefully, will motivate players to continue playing their game into the next level. This research conclude that the relation between value of R and question complexity is a negative correlation. The higher the value of R, the lower the question complexity.

Abstract

In maintaining stability of communication in a complex network, such as Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN), a protocol that can keep the communication working is required. Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP) is a protocol used to maintain communication by implementing the redundancy system on the router. When the main interface has problems, VRRP will automatically move the communications to backup interface. The result shows that long downtime can be avoided, hence, the communication process is maintained. This paper discusses VRRP analysis by comparing network topology using VLAN and LAN network. The networks are used to transfer data from cloud storage. The result shows that VRRP is able to maintain communication process when the main communication link is broken. The QoS downtime in VRRP VLAN and LAN with link failure are between 3.052 seconds to 6.475 seconds. The average downtime with bandwidth of 0 Mbps, 20 Mbps, 50 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and using the internet are, respectively, 3.6 seconds, 3.7 seconds, 3.9 seconds, 4.4 seconds, and 4.8 seconds. Interruption of communication can be solved in a short time. Compared to VRRP with LAN, VRRP with VLAN has more excellent quality of services, indicated by low value of downtime, more optimal throughput values, and minimal delay.

Abstract

Currently, cases of misuse of intellectual property such as digital image have occurred frequently. Copyright protection needs to be done to reduce the occurrence of cases of misuse of a digital image by an unauthorized person. Watermark image can be used to mark the ownership of a digital image. In this paper, a copyright protection scheme based on visual cryptography for digital color image is proposed. Visual cryptography is chosen because it is easy to implement and has a high level of security. Unlike most conventional watermarking schemes, the image to be protected is not directly modified by embedding the watermark into it. Visual cryptography technique is used to generate two share images, namely ownership share image and master share image. To identify the ownership of the image, the watermark can be obtained by stacking the master share image with the ownership share image. Some experiments are carried out to assess the robustness and security performance of the proposed scheme. The results show that the proposed scheme meets the security criteria and has shown robustness against image processing attacks, demonstrated by the acquisition of the average value of the extracted watermark accuracy ratio that is equal to 0.94537.

Abstract

KRS-Online system is a web-based information system to assist the process of preparing the KRS of every student in University of Muhammadiyah Malang. In this research, the level of usability of the system will be measured and the relationship between the independent variables (usefulness,ease of use, and ease of learning) and dependent variable (satisfaction), either simultaneously or partially, will be analyzed. Usability measurement adopted in this study is USE questionnaire that contains usefulness, ease of use, ease of learning, and satisfaction variables. This research involves 100 respondents from the KRS-Online system users. The result shows that measuring usability produces feasibility of 73.312%, which means usability of KRS-Online system is "acceptable". On the other hand, this study proves that there is a significant influence between usefulness, ease of use, and ease of learning variables with the satisfaction variable simultaneously. In addition, usefulness and ease of use variables significantly affect the satisfaction variable partially, while the ease of learning variable does not significantly affect the satisfaction variable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to compare the results of malaria risk zone mapping using scoring method and fuzzy method against the actual data (API 2014). Variables used in determining malaria risk area are temperature, densiy of vegetation and land cover. Satellite image manipulation is performed using remote sensing technology. As a result, the average of every pixel in the district area for temperature, density of vegetation, and land cover is obtained. The result isthen processed using the scoring model and fuzzy model. Accuracy tests have been conducted for 91 districts where the fuzzy model has an accuracy rate of 61.54% while the scoring model produce an accuracy of 18.68%. The test result shows that the fuzzy model tends to produce a higher grade than the actual grade. Fuzzy model produces class “High” but actually “Low” (17.85%), fuzzy model produces class “Medium” but actually “Low” (2.20%), or fuzzy models produces class “High” but actually “Medium” (14.29%). This could be caused by a form of intervention for mosquito nest eradication conducted in some districts, that is quite effective. Besides, some districts are not participating actively in detecting the number of malaria cases, hence, the actual data provided by Puskesmas tends to be lower.

Abstract

Visible light communication (VLC) is a communication technology using visible light as a transmission medium that can have larger bandwidth than other wireless communications. VLC has a standard of IEEE 802.15.7 which has two layers. One of the layers is Physical Layer (PHY) II which has characterictic for indoor and line of sight communication. In this layer, the standard for data rate and optical clock rate is higher than the other types of layers using on off keying (OOK) modulation. This research investigated variation effect of clock rate, data rate, and Reed Solomon (RS) coding to bit error rate (BER) of the received signal. Nowadays, mostly data are pictures and videos. So, this research also test the VLC PHY II to transmit a picture under the varied conditions using peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR). All investigations are built in simulation. The results show that the lower RS coding rates, the lower BER values, and the higher optical clock rate, the higher data rate obtained. Good quality of picture is obtained with BER 10-4 and PSNR 39 dB.
