Abstract

Student affair often has difficulty in determining students that are sent to event because many outstanding students at institution. So far, the sending of students is still intuitive and subjective. Therefore, this research aims to design and build a decision support system that can provide advice to determine the best student that will be sent to the event. In this research, the method of decision support system that is used is combination of AHP and Promethee. In implementation, AHP is executed to get criteria weight. After that, Promethee is executed to determine the order of candidates priority. The purpose of combination is to increase the quality of advice about the selection of students. The result of research shows that with decision support system that is built, student affair can choose the students that are sent to event more quickly, accurately, and objectively.

Abstract

This research aims to determine what institutional aspects that can influence the organization to implement electronic services. This research used qualitative-interpretive research method with single case study research strategy. The findings of this research were: (1) the type of institutional pressures (normative / mimetic / coercive) that surround the organization and the business impact of these pressures determines the response / action of organization isomorphism; (2) the organization uses its institutional logic to perform isomorphism and the result was the decision to develop an electronic service as one of the steps to face existing institutional pressures. This research also proposed a framework which are expected to be used by an organization to identify the institutional aspects related to the implementation of electronic services as a mechanism to respond to these pressures by appropriate isomorphism action.

Abstract

A study about the influence of NSA shift to SNR to identify the existence of NSA shift to SNR and scan time had performed. The study aims to determine the alteration value of SNR when NSA was changed for every number and to obtain the NSA value which has more optimum image quality. The study was performed in Telogorejo Hospital at Semarang with MR modalities AirisII Hitachi 0.3 tesla by shifting NSA from 1 to 5 in cervical vertebrae (neck) sagittal T1 weighted with spin echo sequence. The SNR of five images were calculated with Matlab tool. SNR value was obtained by measuring the ROI at body of vertebra, spinal cord area and discus intervertebra to attain the signal average value. Experiment results show that the greater the NSA, the SNR is better and scan time is longer. SNR of the organ corpus, medulla spinalis and diskus intervertebra is increases from NSA 1 to 2 is 51%. When the NSA is raised to 3, the SNR increase is 89%, for NSA 4 the SNR increase is 99%, for NSA 5 the SNR increase is 102% . To get an SNR up to 100%, the NSA 4 is used. Meanwhile, to get images with good SNR and imaging duration is not long, the NSA 3 is used.

Abstract

3D reconstruction is a task of recovering 3D geometry and color information. There are two categories of 3D object reconstruction: active method, 3D model acquisition can be performed by laser scanner or structured light. Passive methods, reconstruct 3D models by image sequences from a single camera or multiple cameras. Object scanning often demand expensive equipment and special skill to operate. As a simple and low cost approach, 3D reconstruction based images became more popular among the researches. In this study apply passive reconstruction technique, the reconstruction of 3D objects made using images taken from different viewpoint leading to the same object using a digital camera.To determine the corresponding points of the two views used epipolar geometry and Direct Linear Triangulation algorithm (DLT). All required parameters are extracted from the image itself, without any calibration of the camera before. The reconstruction process can divided into four part: first, feature point extraction. Second estimate the fundamental matrix from point correspondences, third compute the camera matrix, and the end compute 3D point from image points. All the required parameters are recovered from the images. As objects of experiment used a miniatur of a statue. Experiment result show the residual error from estimation fundamental matrix is 9.9051 x10-04, and reprojection error 1.714 x 10-03 pixel. Visually, the reconstructed 3D model reseamble the shape of the original object.

Abstract

The metal artifact where are produced on CT image can covered some area near metal artifact so it obstructed to define pixel value (CT number), which in turn it is dificult to define between normal and pathological tissues on a-CT image so metal artifact are need to reduce for help a diagnose. This research’s aim was performed to reduce metal artifact on a-CT image.The method of this research is used spatial filtering with convolution technique where it aplicated to a-CT image with metal artifact and use image processing tool. A phantom with and without metal was scanned for to get an image data, and so CT image from patient where it have a metal artifact. The image data are filtering by seven filter where are different oneanother. Mean square error (MSE) was calculated to assessment performance of filters and a subjective assessment by the practitioners of CT-scan.Metal artifacts are generally formed from 2-3 pixels and has the shortest distance between metal artifacts beam of 2-3 pixels so that the filters used have a filter window size is 5 pixels. The results of filtered image in general has decreased in quality, and the results of assessment of respondents, the filter that has been chosen by the respondent is filter 2 is as much as 29.03% and 0,010703 of MSE value. Therefore we can conclude that the filter 2 is the best filter of the seven filters are used to reduce metal artifacts and still maintain the image quality of CT-scan on visualize organ that can still be used for diagnosis.

Abstract

Heart signal data acquisition for the purpose of research is still an obstacle when using the standard ECG equipment from the manufacturer. The problem is the expensive equipment and the conversion of images into digital data. By using instrumentation amplifiers and electronic components in the market can be realized a simple ECG prototype by using interface Dataq DI-148U USB module for cardiac signals data acquisition.In this study, single channel ECG prototype realized with twelve leads by manually selected. Tests using five subjects that compared the results with standard hospital ECG equipment.From ECG prototype tests each sub section, the results are in accordance with the planning. The use of adhesive floating electrode type showed a smaller noise. IIR digital filter effectively reduces noise with SNR above of 20 dB and baseline wander at frequency cutoff 0.95 Hz. The threshold method is capable of detecting the peak R-R interval well to calculate the heart rate.

Abstract

Scenario analysis of electricity supply to meet the demand of electricity is done by the support of LEAP software. Developed LEAP model used the base year of 2010 and the end year of 2050. In the model, scenario consisted of demand and supply side scenarios. In the demand side, designed scenario consisted of the reference and the conservation scenario. The reference scenario used to describe the demand of electricity without any introduction of conservation strategy. While in the conservation scenario, the strategy of energy conservation was integrated in the model. In the supply side, designed scenario consisted of the reference, the optimized, and the reduction of CO2 emission scenario. The reduction of CO2 emission scenario consisted of the implementation of nuclear power plant and renewable energy power plant. The result of the simulation showed that by the implementation of energy conservation strategy the demand of electricity in JAMALI system can be reduced by 20% compare to the reference scenario. The implementation of nuclear power plant can be used to reduce the CO2 emission with the growth of 3.26% per year. In the other hand, the implementation of renewable energy will reduce the CO2 emission with the growth of 3.14% per year.

Abstract

IMAG (Induction Motor as Asynchronous Generator) or induction motor that is used as an asynchronous generator having been widely used in micro-hydro Power Plant (MHP)usually in small capacity, i.e below 100 Kw. The reason for the widespread popularity of induction generator is owing to it’s capability to generate the power from variable speed as well as constant speed prime movers, low unit cost, reduced maintenance, rugged and brushless rotors, absence of a separate d.c. source for excitation, absence of moving contacts, inherent overload protection, improved performance due to low transient impedance, natural protection against short circuit, there are many on the market etc. Their main disadvantage is poor voltage and frequency regulation under varying load and speed. Imag performance evaluation needs to be analyzed including it is voltage stability analysis and frequency analysis in expenses. Based on the analysis of the system in general, efficiency is 47,38% total imag and positions the turbine room and Imag are still far from flood-free area, so a high fall (head) can be increased from 1 m up to 2.21 m, this can increase the potential and generated power of 82.56% Based on the analysis of the daily load, major load changes affect changes in voltage and frequency output of the imag, this was due to the load current controller can not work fast (slow response) to divert the major load changes to the load apparent (ballast load). There are several methods that can be done to control the voltage and frequency, one method of which is to adjust the load (dummy load). The results of the analysis will be in the form of recommendations for improvement so that the MHP and the frequency of the voltage instability can be obtained to ensure the quality of the electricity generated by Imag at MHP system.

Abstract

Recently, Microhydro Power Center (Pusat Listrik Tenaga Mikrohidro or PLTMh) has been spread widely the energy electric generator. PLTMh control system in Indonesia often uses automatic control system. One of the reasons for this is that the operation and monitoring of the PLTMh could be done from a distance. One of PLTMh models of remote control is known as SCADA. One of the main parts of SCADA is Master Station (MS), Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) & Communication System. Communication System in SCADA can be built in several choices: wired or wireless. Remote control can be built using Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) system. The application of WSN in operating SCADA could ease installation and increase communication reliability. This study applied ZigBee technology on PLTMh SCADA control data communication. ZigBee was chosen because it’s free of operation and licensing charge, had OSI feature and low cost, those are reasons why they are best suited to PLTMh application. In the application, ZigBee hardware was divided into several parts: Coordinator on Master Station(MS) (one unit), End Devices which were each RTU unit point (two units) and Router as a data hooping between Coordinator & End Device (one unit). The furthest point between Coordinator and End Device through Router could reach 645 meters. This was tested in LOS (Line of Sight) condition. RSSI signal on ZigBee was used to see the strength of signal reception on Coordinator as data collector. RSSI score (-dBm) became smaller at maximum distance variation. This meant signal power at data jump point became lower. ZigBee based data communication to form SCADA network had been built well in join a network model, which was between Coordinator — Router — End Device at the furthest distance, 645 meters, with signal power of -82dBm.

Abstract

The innovations of electronic tourism (e-tourism) has gained attention in recent time, this result in the increased number of prototypes tourism applications web desktop based and mobile based. This research focuses on improving the quality of tourism service by building an automatic recommender system application that can run on mobile devices such as mobile phones, PDAs (Personal Digital Assistant), smartphone, iPad, etc. A tourism recommendation system is generally ask advice from officers with manually guide to help choose tourist spot will be visited, that were still deemed to be a subjective opinion. It becomes less precise in the use of informations, behavior, interests, tastes, and the rating to be conveyed to other tourists with similar preferences, which it’s the basis for providing content recommendations.This research objective are to build the mobile tourism recommendation system automation using the concept of personalization with collaborative filtering method and location based filtering for the alternate of manual systems (ask advice from officers of travel agency). The completion steps of this research are to make a mobile recommendation system with methods of collaborative filtering and location-based filtering, create a prototype mobile web-based applications, designing, manufacturing and the final process are improvement recommendations system.The results of this research is a mobile recommendation system application with platforms of JQuery Mobile, HTML 5, JavaScript, Ajax, PHP and MySQL. The test process are functionality testing, compatibility testing and system recommendations testing. It can be seen that the design of tourism recommendation system is able to provide tourist recommendation are suitable with the methods CF and LBF were applied.
