Abstract

The development of 3-D graphics applications leads to the generation of photo-realistic graphics image, which is implemented many applications, such us design, simulation, games as well as to making animated films. Rendering techniques used to generate the graphics image is still les realistic, because lack of real-world lighting models. Subsequent research led to the global illumination models that used a model of the light rays as in the actual physical environment. The algorithm that can implement global illumination models are ray-tracing algorithm. This algorithm is capable of producing 3-D graphic image of a high quality photo-realistic, but requires a complex mathematical equation and computation. POV-Ray is a tool used to implement the ray-tracing models to produce photo-realistic graphics image. These results show that the POV-Ray can generate 3-D graphic image of high qualityt.

Abstract

Nowadays, personal positioning systems are more necessary to build many location-based services. Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR), which is a pedestrian positioning technique using the accelerometer sensor to recognize pattern of steps, is an alternative method that has advantages in terms of infrastructure-independent. However, the variation of walking pattern on each individual will make some difficulties for the system to detect displacement. This is really interested authors to develop a sensor-based positioning system that applied generally to all individuals. In the test, 15 test subjects was taken with the distance of each 10m, 20m and 30m. Experiment begins with the feasibility test of accelerometer sensor. In this work, a smartphone with average sampling rate 63.79 Hz and standard deviation of 1.293 is used to records the acceleration. Then, the acceleration data are analyzed to detect step and to estimate the travelled distance using several methods. Detection of steps are able to make an average error of 2.925%, while the most nearly correct displacement estimation is using Scarlet experimental method which is make a distance average error of 1.39metres at all the traveled distance.

Abstract

Badan Pemeriksa Keuangan Republik Indonesia (BPK) as one of the government agencies or the public sector since 2002 until the present project has been realized in the form of outsourcing of information systems application software. Some examples of the failure of IT projects including IT outsourcing has demonstrated the importance of the role of risk management. One framework that can be used by organizations in implementing risk management approach is to use the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Stages of risk management contained in the PMBOK and IT outsourcing is discussed in depth in this study. The results of the application of risk management suggests that the absence of risk management plans and risk factor analysis of user needs, the risk of a protracted workmanship, and the risk of vendor staff qualifications are a high risk probability and impact. Development of risk response and risk monitoring and control is an important step after high risks identified. The results of the application is expected to be a guideline for the implementation of BPK in IT outsourcing, so that the benefits of IT outsourcing to precisely target.

Abstract

E-procurement is a new electronic procurement system which implemented by governmental departments. It is expected to reduce irregularities in governmental procurement that can lead to loss of financial state. The way to ensure that eprocurement aligned with the development goals is audit. Audit needs an audit program which help auditors to conduct their audit procedures. Today, an e-procurement audit program for governmental departments is not available. This research designs an audit program for governmental e-procurement based on COBIT 5 activities. These activities are used to determine the audit scopes. The respondents who choose COBIT 5 activities are the LPSE team at Provinsi Banten and the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia auditors. The result of this study shows that the e-procurement audit program consists of the audit scope, audit objectives, and activities in planning, implementation, and completion. The audit scope, audit objectives, and activities in implementation are concluded based on COBIT 5 fifteen process that selected by respondents. Planning and completion activities are determined based on audit program literature.

Abstract— The Self-Sufficient Energy Village (DME) is one of main program from goverment about the village ability to produce energy . This program has been launched in 2007 by the President of Indonesia, to enhance energy security in rural area in using local energy. The criteria of Self-Sufficient Energy Village is the village capability to produce at least 60% of the total amount of energy, using renewable energy. Geographically Margajaya Village has solar and microhydro resource which is very potential for development. Furthermore, Margajaya village also produces plantation commodities like palm oil, which every week produces waste like palm bunches, The waste of which is a very potential biomass. The optimization of renewable energy for electrical power generation has been designed using HOMER in Margajaya village, which have annual power peak is 65kW and daily energy consumtion of 415kWh/day. The result from simulation of Hybrid renewable system in HOMER that showed Hydro, Biomass and grid is the best economical solution over hydro-biomass-PV with battery, to design hybrid system with minimum total net present cost (NPC) and cost of electricity. The system can serve annual 100% of load in Margajaya and have surplus of electricity, and could sell to grid as much of 408.492 kWh/years. Economically the system have cost of electricity is US$-0,167/kWh.

Abstract

The use of renewable energy to support the power system operation is a way to reduce the energy dependence from fossil resources. Photo voltage (PV) is one of renewable energy suitable used in tropical area because of the availability of adequate sunlight. One of the problems when PVs are interconnected to thermal generation system is how to determine the committed thermal units to serve the load. In this paper, the unit commitment problems of generation system including PVs and battery are solved using Mixed Integer Quadratic Programming (MIQP). Three simulation scenarios are reported which represent the impact of involving PVs and battery in total operation cost. When PVs are involved in the scheduling, they could reduce the power generated by thermal unit as well as total operation cost. Similarly, when battery units are involved, the battery capability to store and release energy also could reduce total operation cost.

Abstract

Stemmer has been used in document processing like: information retrieval, question answering, spell checking, language translator, document clustering, document classification. Stemmer method based on word morphology has some lack such as: incorrect prefix removal on root words beginning with the letter “k”, “t”, “s” and “p”, Incorrect suffix removal especially for “-kan” and “-an” suffix. To handle these problems, this research proposes a stemmer that uses two level morphology to root word beginning with the letter “k”, “t”, “s”, “p” and use prefix and suffix combination rules to remove suffix on a word. Example: “di-” as the prefix should only be paired with “kan-” as the suffix and should not be paired with “-an” as the suffix. The experiments showed that the proposed stemmer accuracy was 95.5%, better than the earlier stemmer based on word morphology. The accuracy of earlier stemmer based on word morphology was 82.5%.
