Abstract

Background: Anemia is a condition characterized by reduced hemoglobin in the body. As a result, the organs of the body do not get enough oxygen, making people with anemia pale and easily tired. The cause of anemia is due to low consumption of food sources of iron and there are substances that can inhibit iron absorption in food. Consuming iron sources, especially heme iron and iron enhancers can increase iron absorption thereby reducing the risk of anemia. Purpose:. This study aims to analyze iron levels, vitamin C and acceptability in milkfish nugget formulations based on moringa leaf flour. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Complete Randomized Design (RAL) research design, with 5 levels of treatment 2 repetitions (Duplo). Analysis of iron and vitamin C levels using UV-Vis Spectrophotometry method. Analysis of iron levels using the Kruskal Wallis test, analysis of vitamin C levels using the One Way Anova test and statistical tests used on acceptability using the Kruskal Wallis test. Results: The results showed the highest iron (fe) levels found in F4 of 4.97 mg / 100g, the highest vitamin C levels found in F4 of 8.71 mg / 100g and could meet the needs of iron RDA of 22.5% and vitamin C of 9.6%. The results of the F1 acceptability test are the most accepted formulas in terms of color, aroma, texture and taste with the criteria of somewhat like. Conclusion: There is no significant difference in iron and vitamin C with a p value of > 0.05, and the acceptability of milkfish nuggets based on Moringa leaf flour there is a significant difference between formulas with p values of < 0.05 and F1 is the most preferred formula with a substitution of Moringa leaf flour as much as 25%.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to investigate if the consumption of banana, watermelon, and melon Smoothies Piselon has any impact on the blood pressure measurements of hypertensive patients undergoing treatment at Puskesmas Sinar Baru, Bangka Regency.  This research is a pre-test and post-test study with a two-group design with a quasi-experiment with a control group. There are 47 subjects in the intervention group, matched by an identical number in the control group. The examination of the gathered data employed both univariate and bivariate analytical techniques. The findings from this investigation indicate that the formula containing banana, watermelon, and melon identified as Formula 1 was favored by panelists, particularly for its visual appeal, scent, flavor, and consistency. In the cohort treated for hypertension, the initial average systolic blood pressure was recorded at 158.19 mmHg and decreased to 152.62 mmHg post-treatment. Similarly, the average diastolic blood pressure was reduced from 94.89 mmHg to 90.81 mmHg. In the examined cohorts, a substantial alteration in systolic and diastolic blood pressures was discerned, as demonstrated by a t-dependent test with a statistically significant result, producing a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). It was conclusively determined that the intake of Smoothies Piselon markedly decreased blood pressure, with reductions averaging 5.57 mmHg in systolic and 4.08 mmHg in diastolic measurements.

Abstract

Background: CED generally occurs in Women of Childbearing Age (WCA), especially adolescent girls who are in the preconception period. The prevalence of CED in WCA in the age range of 15-19 years is included in the high category, this is a problem because it will have an impact on children's health and nutrition problems in the future. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the effect of nutrition education related to CED on adolescent preconception through video media on the knowledge and attitudes of adolescent girls at SMAN 92 Jakarta. Methods: This study used a Quasi Experiment Two Group Pre-Post Test research design. This study was conducted in June 2024 with a sample of 74 people. Primary data were obtained from questionnaires from respondent interviews. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with data analysis using the Wilcoxon statistical test. Results: The results showed that there was an increase in knowledge score of 20,41 in the intervention group and 12,97 in the control group. Providing nutrition education using video media provides an increase in knowledge. And there was an increase in attitude scores of 6,79 in the intervention group and 7,48 in the control group. Providing nutrition education using video media provides changes in improving attitudes. Conclusion: Providing education using video media is more effective in improving the knowledge of adolescent girls when compared to Powerpoint. However, in the attitude category, both media, namely video and Powerpoint, are equally effective in changing the attitudes of adolescent girls. In the future, it is hoped that video media can be utilized properly as an alternative option for nutrition education media.
