Abstract

Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) in portfolio analysis used the concept of interest rates in the calculation. Interest rates in the concept of Islam financial are forbidden as classified to usury. Therefore, an optimum portfolio analysis tool was developed by replacing the concept of interest rates to zakat rates combined with a Value at Risk analysis tool named Value at Risk–sharia’ Capital Asset Pricing Model (VaR-SCAPM (Z). Its implementation in the sharia’ capital market in Indonesia of January 2011 to August 2016 was obtained by three stocks of Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) of compiler the optimum portfolio of VaR-SCAPM (Z) with proportions 20.71% of KLBF, 38.95% of TLKM, and 40.34% of UNVR. As for the monthly profit rate of 1.75% and the greatest possible loss using VaR-95% of 6.65%.

Abstract

Indonesia as a country with the largest Muslim population in the world, halal and haram being important and interesting issues, and will have more value if being related to science and religion. The research aimed to study halal and haram of reptiles by tracing manuscripts of Islam and science, combining, analyzing, and drawing conclusions with species Uromastyx aegyptia (Desert lizard), Varanus salvator (Javan lizard), and Draco volan (Klarap). The results showed that Dhab (Uromastyx aegyptia) (Desert lizard) is halal, based on the hadith narrated by Muslim no. 3608, hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari no. 1538, 1539. Uromastyx aegyptia are herbivorous animals although sometimes they eat insects. Javanese lizards (Varanus salvator) in Arabic called waral, wild and fanged animals is haram for including carnivores, based on hadith narrated by Muslim no. 1932, 1933, 1934, hadith narrated by Al-Bukhari no. 5530. Klarap (Draco volans)/cleret gombel/gliding lizard is possibly halal because no law against it. Draco volans is an insectivorous, not a wild or fanged animal, but it can be haram if disgusting.  Draco volans has the same category taxon as Uromastyx aegyptia at the family taxon.

Abstract

The digital era has opened wide in front of eyes. Many opportunities and challenges have increasingly pointed, especially for the existence of Islamic colleges must have a resolution that bridged the various challenges. One of them renewed the integration of Islamic education with science and technology. It is also as an ikhtiar in order to realize the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Principles of Higher Education), that includes education and teaching, research and development as well as community service. In order for the college does not end up as an ivory tower, Tri Dharma present as the ideals of Indonesian universities in an effort to educate the nation. The reality of Islamic education in Islamic universities, especially, spend a lot of time to discuss the dogmatic religion problem that caused many debated that led to khilafiyah. It is neglected over the growing phenomenon of science and technology that grew rapidly. Besides preoccupied with khilafiyah aspects, Islamic education teaching tends to be esoteric. In his commentary, Al-Jawahir, Shaykh Thanthawi writes that the Qur’an in it contains more than 750 verses kauniyah, verses about the universe and 150 verses about jurisprudence. This showed that the verses of the universe are more dominant than the dogmatic verses that contain the teachings as well as being a reproach to human beings to use their minds as optimally as possible. Islamic education is not only transfer of knowledge and developing of knowledge but also an education of Islam which integrated science and technology so that can contribute to society.

Abstract

Islam is a religion that bring salvation for mankind, teaches integrity on the trading process, where the principle of exchange is allowed for seller and buyer. Trading process that used scales usually not appropriate for buyers who want buy groceries (e.g egg and rice) because difficult to determine an accurate count values. The best estimate measurement is a randomly observed value against n repeated observations so obtained: with result , so that in conventional cases it is very difficult if the sellers do the weigher repeatedly. Islam forbids the seller to reduce the weigher, this statement is written in Al-Qur’an (Al-Mutaffifin: 1-3). Trading principles are based on an agreement between buyer and seller, so they are free to set the prices and profits. As a trader, certainly they don't want to suffer a financial loss, they need to apply shari'ah law when selling goods using scale. Islam provides a solution to the above problem as it is written in Al-Qur’an (Al-An’am: 152) and give full measure and weight in justice, to avoid reducing the weigher so not harming the buyer.

Abstract

Natural phenomena in recent years continuously emerging as the development of a modern era. One of these natural phenomena is discovery an undersea river Cenota Angelita in Mexico. There are Vertebrates and Invertebrates animal in various forms between a confluence two streams. These discoveries make curious various parties further examine both science and religious. This paper will explain the phenomenon of the sea from science and religion perspective by using literature study in qualitative-descriptive method. Thus, the sea is one of the things God created with various benefits and phenomena. Abstract

Preacher and Scientist are not two different groups (science and profession) that must be disputed. Historically, the Preacher of the classical period also studied, controlling even in themselves they were also a Scientist. Along with the development of the age and science, there is a 'dichotomy' that separates those groups (science and profession). Many events that showed the difference and the conflict between the two groups. Integration of science or inter-profession should be done in every policy, decision, opinions as well as those that are legal products, both legal in general or Islamic law. On the other hand, both groups should be united in overcoming and responding to various problems of life that continue to develop. The integration of science will make the various policies, views and legal products more comprehensive. By using qualitative methods in the form of literature study can be seen that in Islamic history and science have a very close relationship. Fiqh is not a binding and unchanging rigid product. Fiqh must be able to change and synergize with various science disciplines so that various human problems can be answered.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the histological structure of testes and ovaries in marmot (Cavia cobaya), and determine the effect of histology media with integration-interconnection content to student learning result. This study included Quasi Experimental research with non equivalent control group design. The sample was selected using purposive sampling technique and using two classes, experimental class given treatment histology media with integration-interconnection content, and control class with normal learning. The data collection instrument uses multiple choice test data (pretest and posttest). Data analysis techniques uses descriptive analysis for histology and t-test statistics. The results of the research have shown that 1) the histological structure of testicular marmots (Cavia cobaya) consists of spermatogonia, primary spermatocytes, secondary spermatocytes, spermatids, sperm, Sertoli cells and Leydig cells. While the histological structure of ovaries marmots (Cavia cobaya) consists of primordial follicles, primary follicles, secondary follicles, tertiary follicles, atresia follicles, cortex and medulla. 2) Based on the statistical t-test obtained a significance value of 0.00 which means 0.00 <0.05, so the use of histology media with integration-interconnection content positively affects student learning result.
