Abstract

This study aims to redesign the User Interface (UI) of the SuperConsign application using the Human-Centered Design method as a solution to enhance user comfort and satisfaction. The study involved 20 participants from the general public who have experience purchasing second-hand items and using second-hand sales applications to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Human-Centered Design method in creating a better user experience and improving the potential of the SuperConsign application in the market. The method comprises three main stages: inspiration, ideation, and implementation. Through observation and analysis of issues with the SuperConsign application, the study resulted in a better and more user-friendly UI redesign. The result of the study revealed a significant increase in usability scores from 38 to 76.5 based on the System Usability Scale (SUS). It can be concluded that SuperConsign is better and more user friendly after UI redesigning.

Abstract

The Academic Information System Website of STMIK Kharisma Makassar is one of the website-based services on the internet owned by STMIK Kharisma Makassar which provides services for students such as purchasing Study Plan Cards (KRS), knowing the Semester Achievement Index (IPS), and registering payments. The Academic Information System Website of STMIK Kharisma Makassar has been implemented since 2017, but during its implementation there has been no benchmark to determine the level of satisfaction and usability of the system so that this study aims to analyze the usability of the Kharisma Makassar Academic Information System Website using the USE Questionnaire method in order to help the campus service process become better and become a basis for development. The USE Questionnaire method has 4 parameters, namely usefulness, easy of use, easy of learning, and satisfaction. Based on the results of the study, on the 3 features analyzed, the KRS selection feature gets a percentage of 72.13%, while the IPS graph feature is 70.91% and the payment registration feature is 70.41%. Based on the results of the average usability measurement of the 3 features, the results of the usability measurement of the Academic Information System website of STMIK Kharisma Makassar are 71.21% with a usability feasibility category that is feasible.

Abstract

Hi Jobs! is a mobile application that will help people find work because it provides various information concerning job vacancies. This application is still relatively new and has never been tested before. However, this application already has several criticisms and suggestions from users regarding problems that had occurred when using the Hi Jobs! application. The problems that occurred were related to aspects of application usability. Therefore, usability testing is needed to determine the effectiveness, efficiency and user satisfaction when using the Hi Jobs! application using Performance Measurement and Concurrent Think Aloud techniques. The test was conducted on 20 participants who were divided into two categories, advanced and novice. The results of the study showed that advanced participants had a success rate of 96% with a total of one failed task, while novice participants had a success rate of 89% with a total of four failed tasks. The average time for participants in the advanced category was 30 seconds and the novice category was 37 seconds. Based on the results of interviews conducted, there were problems with 4 application features of the Hi Jobs! application. In conclusion, this application was very effective but it was not efficient nor has it meet user satisfaction because there are some features that are difficult to find. Therefore, recommendations for improvement have been made based on the received criticisms and suggestions to meet user satisfaction.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to implement Progressive Web Apps (PWA) technology on the Frizfoo website using the Express.js framework so that it can be accessed in the form of native applications via the user’s smartphone home screen and can be run offline. The implementation of PWA as one of the “should have” features aims to provide added value and improve website performance, as well as overcomes website limitations in displaying offline pages, and avoid the cost of developing native applications on various operating systems platforms. Data collection methods involve literature study and direct measurement using several tools. Testing included installable testing, PWA criteria, performance, size transferred resources, and offline mode. Components used in PWA include web app manifest, service worker, and cache storage. PWA implementation involves creating a web app manifest, service worker registration file, configuring service worker files, adding script tags, creating custom routes in Express.js, and testing PWA. The test results show that the Frizfoo website can be installed and used properly on various types of mobile devices. PWA was successfully implemented and met all PWA criteria, by getting a total score of 10 on Lighthouse and a total score of 25 on PWABuilder. The results of performance testing on Lighthouse and GTMetrix have increased by 36% after the implementation of PWA. The size of transferred resources has reduced from 3.1 MB to 1.8 MB and the website load time has decreased from 3.65 seconds to 826 ms so that the website can be loaded faster. And offline mode feature of the Frizfoo website is successfully used in offline conditions or with an unstable internet connection.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze User Experience on the Mind &; Soul website based on user respondents using the System Usability Scale method. This research began by distributing a questionnaire containing 10 statements that had been prepared by the Usability Scale System to users of the Mind &Soul website as a data collection medium, then continued by processing the questionnaire result data. Data collection is carried out by distributing questionnaires with respondents. Data processing was carried out using the System Usability Scale method to get results, namely a score of 68.4 declared Imarginal High and entered into grade D with an OK rating. Website Mind &; Soul can be concluded that the Website is worth using. Website Mind & Soul can be concluded that the Website is suitable for use by users who need an online consultation place.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of the maxim application to improve service quality using the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). This study used the User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) research method and in this study also collected questionnaire data and a total sample of 50 people. Sources of data in this study are primary and secondary data. With the stages of research starting from determining the formulation of the problem, analyzing needs, determining questions, determining respondents, measuring UEQ, and the last is drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the service quality of the Maxim application still needs to be improved. This is supported by the results of the benchmark diagram where the average is in the yellow area which means below average and even red which means bad. Of the 6 existing aspects or scales, 3 aspects that are suggested to be updated or improved are attractiveness, accuracy, and novelty.

Abstract

Just Meme is a mobile-based digital platform where users can create or edit memes and share them on various social media platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp, and other media-sharing applications available within the app. This research aims to analyze the level of usability of the Just Meme application. To determine the usability level of Just Meme, an analysis is conducted using Nielsen's model, which consists of five parameters: Learnability, Memorability, Efficiency, Error, and Satisfaction. Data collection is carried out through a Google Form questionnaire with a total of 37 respondents, and the statistical analysis is performed using IBM SPSS 26. The questionnaire used in this study is based on Nielsen's model to measure usability with the five main variables. The results of the analysis indicate that the efficiency and satisfaction variables have a positive and significant impact on usability. On the other hand, the learnability, memorability, and error variables have a positive but not significant impact on usability. Furthermore, these five variables collectively contribute 8.2% to the usability of Just Meme.

Abstract

The Mind & Soul website is a website-based application developed to facilitate users in ordering and processing mental health counseling online with a counselor which can be accessed via the link https://mindandsoulofficial.com/. The performance of the Mind & Soul website requires detailed analysis to find out what the website's performance is like and what deficiencies the Mind & Soul website has. The purpose of this research is to test the performance of the Mind & Soul website using GTMetrix and WebPageTest so as to find out the performance details. Performance testing on the Mind & Soul website will be carried out using two tools, namely GTMetrix and WebPageTest. The collection method was carried out using the observation method, in which the researcher tested directly on the Mind & Soul website using GTMetrix and WebPageTest tools. Based on the results of the Mind & Soul website performance test on GTMetrix, all desktop and mobile website pages got grade A which means very good, while the results of the performance test using WebPageTest showed that the speed of all desktop and mobile pages is not bad and some pages still need to be improved from usability and ductility factors.

Abstract

Password manager RememberMe merupakan salah satu aplikasi yang dapat digunakan oleh penggunanya untuk mengelola dan melindungi kata sandi dari berbagai aplikasi di internet. Sebagai aplikasi yang mengelola data yang sangat penting, tentunya diperlukan tambahan lapisan keamanan di sisi data pengguna yang tersimpan di basis data. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan algoritma blowfish dalam melakukan enkripsi data pengguna yang akan disimpan di basis data dan meng-evaluasi kinerja aplikasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengevaluasi proses enkripsi dan dekripsi serta observasi kinerja aplikasi password manager RememberMe! terhadap aspek waktu tanggap, ukuran data hasil enkripsi, dan pemakaian bandwitdth. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan data pengguna khususnya password berhasil dienkrip kemudian disimpan ke basis data serta berhasil didekrip ketika digunakan kembali oleh pengguna. Selain itu pengujian waktu tanggap rata-rata berada dibawah 1 detik, ukuran data enkripsi relatif sebesar 22 byte dan total data bandwidth sent yaitu relatif kurang dari 5 MB.

Abstract

This research aims to redesign the user interface of the Reparation application, a motorcycle repair service in Makassar, using the Goal-Directed Design (GDD) method. Data collection was carried out through interviews and questionnaires with 20 users, and the data was processed using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The initial test obtained an average SUS score of 46.375 with a "Not Acceptable" rating. The second test used a new design prototype, which achieved an average score of 84.5 with an "Acceptable" rating. These results indicate an improvement in interface quality from the "Poor" category to "Excellent". With an average score of 84.5 in the second test, the new design has met the standard average SUS of 68. Thus, the prototype design using GDD has successfully met user needs and produced an attractive and user-friendly interface.
