Abstract

Background: Immunization is an effort to improve a person's immune to a disease. The purpose of immunization is to stimulate the immunological system of the body to develop antibodies (immune) specific, so that it can protect the body from a disease Preventable Diseases by Immunization (PD3I).Objective: The aim of this study was to know the immunization coverage rate in Pedukuhan Sembuh Wetan Sidokarto Godean 2012.Method: This research method was descriptive quantitative. The variable of this study was immunization coverage in Pedukuhan Sembuh Wetan Sidokarto Godean. The population in on this study was mothers with toddlers in Pedukuhan Sembuh Wetan Sidokarto Godean (amount 48 mother). Samples were taken by total sampling technique.Result: There was a child 0-12 months old (2.08%) who have not received BCG immunization from 47 toddler (97.92%). Polio immunization (polio 1 and 2) have reached target UCI was 97.92% and 93.76%. For polio 3 and 4, the overall immunization coverage has not reached the target of 85.43% and 87.51%. DPT immunization coverage has not reached the target (89.59%). HepB coverage was below of 80%. For measles immunization coverage has reached until 100%.Conclusion: Coverage of polio vaccination (3 and 4), DPT, and HepB has not reached 90% of Universal Child Immunization (UCI) target status. Coverage of BCG vaccination and measles has reached 90% of Universal Child Immunization (UCI) target status.Keywords: immunization coverage, toddler

Abstract

Background: The infant mortality rate in developing countries an estimated 4-9 million, the cause was asphyxia newborns with the number of events 20% of all infant deaths. Infant Mortality Rate in Yogyakarta was 19/1000 life births in 2007. Asphyxia is a first of cases infant who were treated in Panembahan Senopati Bantul Hospital in 2010 and there were 272 labor induction with 225 incedent cases of asphyxia.Objective: The aim of this study to know the relationship between the incidence of induction of labor with asphyxia in newborns in Panembahan Senopati Bantul hospital in 2012.Method:This type of research is a case control design, with a 2:2 ratio of cases and controls is 160: 160. The sample is all women who gave birth vaginally. The study uses secondary data, analysis of data using univariate and bivariate analysis.Result: The result X2= 8,76, the price of db table X2=1 and α=0,05 is 3,84. It means X2 calculated value >X2 table, it can be concluded that there was a significant correlation labor induction with incident of asphyxia newborns. Odds ratio value 2,36 can be concluded that the asphyxia was a risk factor.Conclusion: Patient who labor induction was estimed to 2,36 times the baby suffered asphyxia than in patients who do not induce labor.Key words: labor induction, asphyxia newborn

Abstract

Background: Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) is number of mother deaths per 100.000 live births. MMR is one important value that must be considered by all country in the world, it is because MMR is one how to measure a success of the country related to MDGs point 5. The use of Geographic Information System (GIS) in health sector has been very large; however, especially in maternal mortality this application is still limited.Objective: To know the development of geographic information systems applications over the last ten years.Method:This review based on several research articles mainly focus on GIS application related to maternal mortality.Result: This paper identified several issues in application GIS related to maternal mortality; one of which is data availability is not good that makes GIS can’t give his best performance.Conclusion: The conclusion of this paper that some applications related to maternal mortality has been applied in various part of the world included Indonesia, for example, mapping of maternal mortality distribution and spatial analysis of maternal mortality.Keywords: Geographic Information System, Maternal Mortality Rate

Abstract

Background: The low participation of men in family planning is influenced by many factors, including demographic factors, social structure factors, family factors, and the availability of health resources. There are many other factors that influence the selection of contraceptive vasectomy is not yet known. For additional information concerning factors that influence the choice of a vasectomy, we conducted a study with mixed methods method.Objective: To know factorsaffectingvasectomycontraceptionin the KiarapedesPurwakartaMethod: The study design used was mixed methods approaches and strategies embedded concurrent explanatory. Quantitative data were collected by questionnaire. The gathering of qualitative in-depth interviews were conducted in the respondent, the respondent's wife and PLKB selected using an interview guide. The data has been collected and analyzed, for a quantitative method using descriptive analysis of the characteristics of respondents. For qualitative methods, information from research subjects are recorded in the form of transcripts, then given coding and grouped into categories and themes.Result: Based on data collected from 53 respondents found the majority of respondents were in the age group 41-50 years (39.6%), most of the respondents had a number of children> 3 people (75.5%), the majority of respondents had elementary (90 , 6%), all Muslim respondents (100%), most of the income ≥ minimum wage (75.5%) of all respondents have the support of his wife (100%), and most respondents receive information from field officers (73.6% ). Response acceptors of stigma related to religious factors, sexual, and psychological medical treatment while the reasons respondents chose vasectomy because of factors such as family, economy and role model.Conclusion: Modeling is another factor that can influence a man's decision to undergo a vasectomy in the village Kiarapedes.Keywords : Family Planning, Vasectomy

Abstract

Background: Youthis one component ofthe younger generationthat hasa very important roleand determine thefuture of the nation. Adolescence isa periodfilled withbody changesandmental changes. Understanding and supportof parents is verybeneficial forthe development ofyouth. Panggungharjo village is one of the villagesmost mothers(80%) have not providedan explanation of menarchein adolescentgirls.Objective: To determine the relationship between the role of the mother with readiness of young women aged 10-12 years in the face of menarche in the village Panggungharjo Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta.Method: This research uses descriptive analytic study research design crosssecsional. The populationin this study were all mothers in the village Panggungharjo with girls aged 10-12 years, as many as 50 people, with the total sampling techniques sampling. The variables in this study consisted of the independent variableis the role of mom and the dependent variable is the readiness of young women aged 10-12 years in the facemenarce. The data were taken using a questionnaire.Results: From the analysis of test results bivariate no significant relationship between maternal role with the readiness of young women aged10-12 years in the face of menarche in the village Panggungharjo (0.001<0.05) and the value z Table (2.58) < z (4,5), where the role of the mother is quite the 50% of respondent sand the lack of readiness of young womenin the face of menarche that is 66% of the respondents.Conclusion: There wasa significant association between maternal role with the readiness of young women aged10-12 yearsin the face of menarche in the village Panggungharjo Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta as indicated by the significant value of 0.001 (p <0.05), and the value z Table (2.58) < z (4.5).Keywords: menarche, the role of mother, teenage

Abstract

Background: Health is a human right and is a human resource investment, and has contributed greatly to improving the Human Development Index (HDI). Healthy conditions can be achieved by changing unhealthy behaviors to healthy behaviors and creating a healthy environment at home. Efforts to increase healthy behaviors in the household have not indicated an optimal result. In addressing the health problems that occur in families, who make the decisions concerning the solution to the problems is still the family head or the elder family member, it is they who will determine the problems and the needs of the family.Objective: To examine whether there is a relationship between education and income of the family head and the clean and healthy living behaviors in the order of the households in Kwasen village Srimartani Piyungan Bantul.Method: The analytical observational research with design in this research uses cross-sectional approaches. The population of this research was all the family heads who reside in the Kwasen village, Srimartani, Piyungan, Bantul. The sampling technique used was exhaustive sampling method. The analysis employed was univariate analysis using frequency distributions, and bivariate analysis using the chi square (X2).Result: The results of this research indicate a significant relationship between education and incomes of the family heads with PHBS in the order of households in Kwasen village, Srimartani, Piyungan, Bantul. Concerning the education of the family heads, majority of them graduated from junior high school - senior high school which was as many as 164 (46.59%) KKs, and followed by the family heads who did not go to school/ graduated from elementary school which was as many as 128 (36.36%) KKs, while the minority of them who graduated from college was as many as 60 (17.05%) KKs. The majority of the family heads having incomes < UMR (minimum regional wage) were as many as 219 (62.22%) KKs and the minorities having incomes ≥ UMR were as many as 133 (37.78%) KKs. The family heads with healthy PHBS II were as many as 167 (47.40%) KKs followed by as many as 167 (47.40%) KKs of healthy PHBS III, healthy PHBS IV as many as 71 (20.20%) KKs, and minority family heads of healthy PHBS I as many as 2 (0.60%) KKs.Conclusion: There is a relationship between education and income on the clean and healthy living behaviors.Keywords : Education, Income, PHBS

Abstract

Background: Adolescent reproductive health problems are increasing from year to year, not to mention sexually transmitted diseases. Premarital sexual behavior occurs more frequently and very unfortunate many teen abortionsaction. Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) has always been one endless problems to be discussed. Every year has increased the number of people with the disease PMS, there fore an increase in knowledge and perceptions of sexually transmitted diseases should be emphasized, especially in the adolescent group.Objective:To determine the relationship between knowledge and perceptions of adolescents about sexually transmitted diseases at Hasyim MTs students Piyungan Bantul, Yogyakarta.Methods:This research is analytic-correlation using cross sectional research design. Purposive samplingtechnique, with the enclosed questionnaire. Statistical data analysis using Pearson product moment test.Results:The level of knowledge categorized by 15 respondents (37.5%), a total of 19 respondents (47.5%) have sufficient knowledge as well as 6 respondents (15%) had less knowledge. Perceptions of STDs 13 respondents (32.5%) had a good perception about STDs, as many as 23 respondents (57.5%) had sufficient perception and by 4respondents(10%) perceiveless. Kendall-tau test results have p-value of 0612 with a significant level of 0.000.Conclusion: There is a relationship between knowledge and perceptions of adolescents about sexually transmitted diseases at Hasyim MTs Piyungan Bantul,Yogyakarta in 2011.Keywords: knowledge, sexually transmitteddiseases, perception

Abstract

Background: Indonesia has 40% of teens who have friends that have had premarital sexual intercourse and 66% of teenagers have a friend who is pregnant out of wedlock. Yogyakarta there are 97.05% of teenagers are not virgins. Bantul there were 113 early marriage, 90% caused by pregnancy out of wedlock. Target sex education in SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek because 80% of students have less knowledge about premarital sex. This incident shows that the figure of an issue.Objective: To determine the influence of sex education through peer counselor towards the youth knowledge about premarital sex in SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek.Methods: This study by Quasi-experiment with one group pretes-posttest design. Sampling purposive of the total respondents 64 students. Types of primary data with survey instruments form questionnaire. Paired data analysis of test samples T-test.Results: Mean knowledge before being given sex education by peer counselor is 74.88 with SD 5.21 and the average level of knowledge when given sex education by peer counselor is 82.00 with SD size 8.52 7.12 results in an improvement of the SD as large as 6.81. Analysis with Paired sample t-test obtained p value 0.000.Conclusion: The influence of sex education through peer counselor for teens about premarital sex knowledge in SMK Muhammadiyah Kretek Year 2013, and statistically meaningful.Keywords: peer couselor, sex education, premarital sex

Abstract

Background: There are 26 Public Health Centers in the district of Semarang. The PHC of Bergas is the highest number of sexually transmitted infection cases. There are 767 cases which is occurred during 2012 at Tegalrejo Bergas Localization.The problem in this study is “is there any relationship between the attitude with prevention behaviors about Sexually Transmitted Infections by sexual commercial workers in brothels Tegalrejo, Bergas, Semarang in 2013.Method: This research is quantitative research. The design in this study is used a correlation study and using cross-sectional approach. The variables of this study is the attitude and behavior about prevention behaviors about Sexually Transmitted Infections of sexual commercial workers. The subjects were commercial sex workers who working at Localization of Tegalrejo, Bergas, Semarang. There are 150 populations. However, only 60 respondents were involving in this study. The simple random sampling is used in this study. The data was gained by quessionaires. Moreover, the data was analized by frequency distribution and chi square analysis.Result: The results showed that there were 56.7 % of respondens at health reproductive age. The highest number of level education was 56.7 % who have a basic education level. Moreover, most of respondens have positive attitude (56.7 %) about prevention in Sexually Transmitted Infections. The positive behaviors was 61.7 %, more than the number of responden who did negative behaviour about prevention in Sexually Transmitted Infections.Conclusion: It is concluded that there is a relationship between the attitude with prevention behaviors about Sexually Transmitted Infections by sexual commercial workers in brothels Tegalrejo, Bergas, semarang which was showed by ρ value 0.001. It is expected to health care professionals in order to improve the programs are closely to do intensive counseling and distributing more condoms for sexual commercial workers, who has a high risk of sexually transmitted infections.Keywords: attitudes, behaviors, sexually transmitted infections
