Abstract

Increasing competition among hospitals in Indonesia requires healthcare providers to strengthen their marketing communication strategies to improve public awareness, trust, and service utilization. This study examined the correlation between public perceptions of promotion and brand activation and the decision to visit Ngesti Waluyo Christian Hospital in Temanggung, Indonesia. A quantitative analytic study with a cross-sectional design was conducted from January to June 2025. The sample consisted of 55 outpatients selected using accidental sampling. Promotion was measured with 16 validated Likert-scale items, brand activation with 4 items, and visiting decision with 2 items. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Spearman’s rho correlation test, with statistical significance set at p < 0.05. Most respondents perceived hospital promotion as good (83.6%), brand activation as good (70.9%), and visiting decision as high (92.7%). Spearman’s rho analysis showed a positive and significant relationship between perceived promotion and the decision to visit (r = 0.576; p = 0.0001). Perceived brand activation was also positively and significantly associated with visiting decision (r = 0.437; p = 0.001). Public perceived promotion and brand activation were significantly associated with the decision to visit Ngesti Waluyo Christian Hospital. The promotion showed a stronger relationship, underscoring the importance of clear, credible, and consistent communication. Brand activation also influenced visitation decisions by strengthening familiarity, trust, and community engagement. These findings highlight the need for integrated hospital marketing and public relations strategies to support patient acquisition and service utilization in competitive healthcare markets.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) remain a major health problem in Indonesia, with an increasing prevalence and being the leading cause of morbidity and mortality. The CERDIK program, which consists of regular health checks, eliminating cigarette smoke, engaging in physical activity, maintaining a balanced diet, getting adequate rest, and managing stress, is a promotive and preventive strategy developed by the Indonesian government to prevent NCDs. However, in its implementation, several challenges persist, including low consistency in healthy lifestyle behaviors within the community, limited knowledge, and suboptimal application of CERDIK across population groups. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the CERDIK program as a promotive and preventive strategy in the prevention of non-communicable diseases in Indonesia through a literature review approach. This research is a literature review in which previous studies are collected and critically analyzed. The data was obtained through a review of articles from Google Scholar using keywords such as CERDIK, non-communicable diseases, promotive, preventive, and CERDIK implementation, with a specified publication year range. A total of 11 articles met the inclusion criteria in this study. The results of the analysis indicate that the implementation of the CERDIK program is effective in improving community knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors in preventing NCDs through health education, screening activities, and community empowerment. Therefore, strengthened, continuous health education, along with cross-sector support, is needed to optimize the implementation of the CERDIK program in controlling NCDs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Transformational leadership is one of the most widely applied leadership styles in modern organizations. Transformational leadership is believed to be able to improve employee performance, particularly among Generation Z, who are increasingly dominating the workforce. Generation Z has distinct characteristics, such as a preference for flexible work environments, technology-based systems, open communication, and leaders who can provide inspiration and personal development opportunities. However, in practice, several challenges remain, including generational gaps, differences in work values, and suboptimal implementation of transformational leadership across organizational sectors. This study aims to analyze the effect of transformational leadership on Generation Z performance through a literature review of various academic journals. The method used is a literature review of 10 selected articles retrieved from Google Scholar using relevant keywords. The results show that transformational leadership generally has a positive effect on Generation Z performance. This influence occurs through increased motivation, work engagement, job satisfaction, and innovation. However, some findings indicate that the effectiveness of transformational leadership may depend on organizational context and employee acceptance. Therefore, adaptive implementation of transformational leadership is required to optimize Generation Z performance across various organizational sectors.

Abstract

Entering claim data for social security agency on health is an important process in the hospital administrative system, requiring accuracy and efficiency to prevent delays and claim rejections. This study aimed to explore the experiences of administrative staff in entering social security agency on health claim data at Harapan Hospital. The study employed in-depth interviews with five participants from the administrative services management unit. The analysis identified several themes: (1) challenges faced by administrative staff when entering claim data documents for social security agency on health; (2) acquisition of knowledge and skills regarding entering claim data procedures; (3) availability of standard operating procedures entering claim data processing for social security agency on health; (4) the role of information technology in supporting administrative staff in social security agency on health claim data entry; (5) evaluation and recommendations for improving software and network systems used in the social security agency on health process; and (6) expectations for improving knowledge and skills entering claim data procedures for social security agency on health. The findings showed that the data entry process still faced various challenges. In terms of human resources, there was a mismatch between the tasks performed by administrative staff and their assigned job descriptions, as well as disparities in staff competencies. The standard operating procedures had not been properly disseminated and were not accessible to all staff. From a technological perspective, the claims software had not functioned optimally due to frequent maintenance issues and slow internet connectivity. In addition, the absence of integration (bridging) between the hospital management information system for outpatient services and Indonesia Case Base Groups (INA CBG’s) application required staff to enter data manually, thereby increasing the risk of errors and delays. These findings highlight the need to improve human resource capacity, reorganize and strengthen standard operating procedures implementation, and enhance information system infrastructure to support a more effective and accurate claims process.
