Abstract

Education is one of the most important components in the success of a country. The implementation of the learning process is still a challenge for many educational units. Pocket books are one of the learning resources used to support learning. This study uses a pocket book containing information about the body's defense system to assess the learning outcomes and motivation of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang. The True Experimental Design method is applied in this quantitative research design. A total of 62 students from class XI IPA 5 of SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang (experimental class) and XI IPA 3 (control class) became the research sample. Analysis of t-test data. The results of this study indicate that the influence of the Body's Defense System booklet has a significant impact on the learning outcomes of students of SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang. The results of the t-test show that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, namely t count> t table 8.96> 2.000 with a significance level of α = 0.05 and t count> t table 8.96> 2.660 with a significance level of α = 0.01. Furthermore, the results of this study indicate that the learning motivation of students of SMA Negeri 1 Secanggang is significantly influenced by the Body Defense System booklet. The results of the hypothesis test tcount> ttable 11.69> 2.000 with a significance level supporting this. Keywords: Booklet, Learning Outcomes, Motivation

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of planting media on the acclimatization of moon orchids (Phalaenopsis amabilis L.) with the addition of Growmore fertilizer. The method used is a quantitative experimental method and treatments are implemented using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The data analysis technique used is the one-way ANOVA test with α= 0.05 and the Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT 5%). The results of this study showed that there was a significant influence on the growth parameters of leaf length (sig. 0.001), plant height (sig. 0.001), root length (sig. 0.004), and number of roots (sig. 0.015). The best treatment for the growth parameters of leaf length and plant height was shown by the P3 treatment (a mixture of 25 grams of chopped fern media and 75 grams of wood charcoal with the addition of 2 grams/liter of Growmore fertilizer). In comparison, the best treatment for the growth parameters of root length and number of roots was shown by the treatment P2 (mixture of 25 grams of sphagnum moss media and 75 grams of wood charcoal with the addition of 2 grams/liter of Growmore fertilizer). However, it did not significantly affect the leaf number growth parameters. Keywords: Acclimatization, Planting Media, Growmore Fertilizer, Phalaenopsis amabilis L.

Abstract

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a multi-drug resistant (MDR) pathogen known for its ability to form biofilms, making it difficult to eliminate. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of ethanol extract from matoa leaves (Pometia pinnata) as an antibacterial and antibiofilm agent against P. aeruginosa. The antibiofilm activity was assessed using the Crystal Violet (CV) method with absorbance measured at a wavelength of 595 nm. The percentage of biofilm inhibition was used to determine the ICâ‚…â‚€ value. Phytochemical analysis revealed that the ethanol extract of matoa leaves contains alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and triterpenoids, which contribute to its antibacterial and antibiofilm activity. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was determined to be 25 mg/mL. Inhibition zone tests showed that the ethanol extract at concentrations of 75, 50, and 25 mg/mL produced inhibition zones of 13.33 mm, 12.16 mm, and 10.8 mm, respectively, while the positive control, ciprofloxacin 5 µg, produced an inhibition zone of 35.67 mm. The percentages of biofilm inhibition were 21.51% (50 mg/mL) and 12.34% (25 mg/mL), with an average ICâ‚…â‚€ value of 27.43 mg/mL. These findings suggest that the ethanol extract of matoa leaves has potential as an antibacterial and antibiofilm agent against P. aeruginosa. Abstract

This study explores the utilization of digital media in science education through a systematic literature review approach. The rapid advancement of digital technology has transformed educational practices, particularly in the teaching and learning of science. By analyzing relevant empirical studies published over the last decade, this research aims to identify trends, benefits, challenges, and the effectiveness of various digital media tools in supporting science learning. A total of [insert number, if available] articles were selected based on predefined inclusion criteria and analyzed using thematic content analysis. The findings reveal that digital media enhances student engagement, supports conceptual understanding, and promotes interactive learning environments. However, the successful integration of digital media depends on factors such as teacher competence, infrastructure availability, and pedagogical alignment. This review provides insights for educators, policymakers, and researchers to optimize digital media use in science education and encourages further investigation into context-specific applications.
