Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months is a beneficial activity for both mother and baby. However, smooth breastfeeding is often hampered, especially in the first days after giving birth. One of the causes is a lack of stimulation of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin which play a role in the smooth production of breast milk. Breast milk production can be accelerated with non-pharmacological measures, namely through oxytocin massage. This study aims to analyze the effect of oxytocin massage on the smooth flow of breast milk based on literature analysis. The method used is a literature review through searches from the PubMed, Science Direct and Google Scholar databases using various Indonesian and English keywords. Sorting articles uses inclusion and exclusion criteria and PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) guidelines with 4 stages, namely identification, screening, eligibility, and acceptable results. The results of the search identified 907 articles, then they were screened and 507 articles were obtained, then at the feasibility stage 7 articles were obtained and it was decided that these 7 articles were acceptable. The results of the article review found that oxytocin massage provides comfort and relaxation to the mother and stimulates the release of oxytocin so that it can speed up the release of breast milk , while breast care will stimulate the production of lactifer (prolactin hormone) to accelerate breast milk production in postpartum mothers. In conclusion, the oxytocin massage method is effective in increasing breast milk production and facilitating milk production in post partum mothers. It is hoped that there will be further research regarding family involvement in the effectiveness of oxytocin massage intervention for post partum mothers.

Abstract

One of the endemic turtle conservation areas is the sea turtle conservation area on the coast of Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province (Batagur borneoensis). This animal is categorized as an endangered animals. The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources) designated sea turtles as Critically Endangered (CE) in 1996. The distribution of sea turtles is limited because the beach type must be suitable for spawning and survival. The goal of this study was to determine the physical, chemical, and biological characteristics of sea tuntong (Batagur borneonsis) habitat in a conservation area in Aceh Tamiang Regency. In this study, the descriptive method was used. The data collection process was completed. Data was gathered through direct observation in the field. Purposive sampling was used to identify observation stations. There are three research stations: Pusong Kapal (hatching hatchlings), Ujung Tamiang Beach (habitat for adult sea turtles), and Pusung Cium Beach (habitat for sea turtles) (nesting habitat). The study's findings revealed differences in physical, biological, and chemical characteristics at the three stations. It is possible to conclude that the water area off the coast of Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province, is suitable for sea turtle habitat (Batagur borneoensis)

Abstract

Abstract

Creative thinking is a key 21st-century skill that must be fostered in science education, particularly in ecology, which demands conceptual understanding and contextual problem solving. However, classroom learning often relies on conventional methods that limit student engagement and creativity. This study examines the effect of quantum learning strategies on improving students’ creative thinking skills in ecology. Quantum learning was selected for its holistic approach that integrates emotional, intellectual, and social dimensions, potentially optimizing creative stimulation. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group. Participants were 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 11 Medan, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using ecology-based creative thinking tests. The findings revealed a significant improvement in the creative thinking abilities of students in the experimental group compared to those in the control group. These results demonstrate that quantum learning effectively enhances students’ creativity in ecological learning contexts. The study suggests that adopting quantum learning strategies can help educators design more engaging and innovative learning environments aligned with 21st-century educational demands.
