Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh metode role playing pada materi indera penglihatan dan alat optik di SMPN 3 Seunagan Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Seunagan Kabupaten Nagan Raya dan yang menjadi sampel adalah kelas VIII1 (eksperimen) dan kelas VIII2 (kontrol). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan test. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran role playing pada materi indera penglihatan dan alat optik di SMPN 3 Seunagan Kabupaten Nagan Raya dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil analisis data yang diperoleh thitung sebesar 14,427 yang selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan ttabel pada taraf signifikan 5% dan dk = 20 + 20 – 2 = 38, maka diperoleh nilai ttabel = 2,024. Karena thitung    ttabel  (14,427 2,024), maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode role playing pada materi indera penglihatan dan alat optik di SMPN 3 Seunagan Kabupaten Nagan Raya dapat mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Team Quiz (TQ) dipadu dengan The Power of Two pada materi Sistem gerak pada manusia terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMPN 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini deskriptis yang bersifat kuantitatif dengan desain pretes-postest kontrol grup design yang dilaksanakan di SMPN 1 Darul Imarah Aceh Besar Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes awal (pretest) dan tes akhir (post-test). Analisis data menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil uji thitung (5,26) ≥ ttabel (1,67), sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima dan dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sistem gerak manusia dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Team Quiz (TQ) dipadu dengan The Power of Two. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa siswa memberi tanggapan yang positif terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran Team Quiz (TQ) dipadu dengan The Power of Two dengan rata-rata persentase 77,4%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Team Quiz (TQ) dipadu dengan The Power of Two merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang efektif untuk diterapkan pada pembelajaran biologi. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan strategi  pembelajaran Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tumbuhan terhadap hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar siswa di SMPN 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain   rancangan  penelitian yang  digunakan   adalah   pretest-postest  Control Group Design. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dari penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya yang berjumlah 30 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII1 dan VIII2 yang masing-masing berjumlah 15 orang. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan angket motivasi yang selanjutnya dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik uji t (independent sample t-test) dan persentase. Hasil analisis data hasil belajar siswa diperoleh nilai thitung ttabel  (thitung  = 2,573 ttabel = 1,701), sehingga Ha diterima. Berdasarkan  hasil analisis data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penerapan strategi  pembelajaran Learning Start with a Question (LSQ) pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tumbuhan terhadap hasil belajar siswa di SMPN 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Selanjutnya berdasarkan hasil analisis angket motivasi siswa diperoleh 64% siswa sangat setuju, 27,33% siswa setuju, 8% siswa kurang setuju, dan 0,67% siswa sangat tidak setuju terhadap strategi pembelajaran Start with a Question (LSQ) dalam proses pembelajaran materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tumbuhan di SMPN 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya. Dengan demikian dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa adanya respon positif siswa terhadap penggunaan strategi pembelajaran Start with a Question (LSQ)  pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan pada tumbuhan  di SMPN 3 Beutong Kabupaten Nagan Raya yang mengakibatkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa.Kata Kunci:  Learning Start with A Question (LSQ), Hasil Belajar, Motivasi Belajar

Abstract

Zingiberaceae is well known as gingers family with abundant numbers of spices widely used in Southeast Asia, because of their unique flavors, ornamental and also the medicinal values. The extracts of Zingiberaceae rhizome contain many essentials oils, including terpenes, alcohols, ketones, flavonoids and phytoestrogens that use as medicine. Zingiberaceae grow vigorously in a wide range of habitats ranging from riverine to the limestone area, from lowland to the upper mountain regions. They often grow in shady area but some of the native species are able to tolerate to the sun exposure. The cultivation of this family was developed widely. Gunung Cut Village is one the villages in Aceh Barat Daya district which cultivated four species of this family: Zingiber officinale, Curcuma domestica, Alpina galanga and Kaempferia galanga. They mainly use for medicinal purposes as it can cure many diseases traditionally.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of generic skills in problem solving science and learning and technology of ATRO Banda Aceh students on the anatomy and physiology of the respiratory system. The method used in this study is a pre-experimental design using a one group pretest-posttest research design. The population in this study were 46 people with a sample of 30 people, the sample selection was done by purposive sampling. The results of the study using t-test analysis with the pretest results of students being 70.8, while the posttest average value of 78.9 showed an increase in students' generic science skills after the learning process. The conclusion of this study shows that using the distance method can also improve students' generic science skills. It is hoped that there will be further research on improving generic science skills using a visual laboratory as a support for online learning.Keywords: keterampilan generik sains, pretest, posttes

Abstract

 Science and technology are two things that cannot be separated from human life. Almost all aspects of human life today have been touched by technological products which are the application of scientific concepts, STM is a learning model that can invite students to find new ideas or ideas that exist in society so that they can make students active and motivated. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the science and technology community (STM) approach to student learning outcomes on the concept of ecosystems. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive experimental method. The results obtained are the tcount value of 5.80, with a significant level of α = 0.05 and dk = 68, the value of t(1- α) = t(0.95)(68) = is 1.67. The conclusion of this study shows that students who are taught using the STM approach have better learning outcomes than those who do not use the STM approach to the ecosystem concept at SMA Negeri 1 Seunagan, Nagan Raya Regency.

Abstract

Humans can form a community with a certain diversity of plant species according to the desired environment, such as ornamental plants and protective plants in yard.  The yard of residents’ houses in Cot Gut Village, Nagan Raya Regency, have many diverse plant species, especially from the ornamental plant group. However, these ornamental plants have not been taxonomically recorded and inventoried. This study aims to determine the species richness and the level of diversity of ornamental plant species found in the yards of residents in Cot Gut, Nagan Raya. Data collection used a field survey method, to see the richness of ornamental plant species found in the research location. Data from the field were analyzed using the Shannon – Wiener Diversity Index. The results obtained were 20 Species of ornamental plants from 18 families with a total number of 269 individual ornamental plants from 20 yards of residents’ houses in Cot Gut Village, East Seunagan District, Nagan Raya. The Species Diversity Index (H') value of ornamental plants in the yards of residents' houses in Cot Gut Village, Nagan Raya are 2.723.

Abstract

21st century education emphasizes students to have high-level thinking abilities. However, in reality it has not been realized well, which is indicated by the inability of students to make good planning arrangements in the learning process. This is closely related to the metacognitive abilities that students must have. This research aims to determine the percentage of metacognitive awareness of Biology learning at MAS Insan Qur'ani, Aceh Besar. The method used is a Mix Method research design with an explanatory sequential design. The research sample consisted of 30 students. The research instrument uses a sheet in the form of a Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI) questionnaire to see students' metacognitive awareness. The analysis test was carried out using percentages and the Independent Sample t-test. The research results show that students' metacognitive awareness is in the good category with a percentage of 75.14%. The lowest indicator of metacognitive awareness is found in IMS with a percentage of 47%, while the highest indicator is in DK with a percentage of 49.03%. For the calculated t test, significant results were obtained with a value of tcount ttable (2,156 2,000). Metacognitive awareness is very good to use in the learning process. It is hoped that this research can be used in learning materials contained in biology learning. And it is also hoped that teachers can use various types of learning models to gain better metacognitive awareness of students so that they can think analytically in dealing with various problems found in Biology learning.

Abstract

An inventory of the diversity of higher plants (Spermatophyta) at Harapan Bangsa Stadium, Lhong Raya, Banda Aceh, aims to determine the number of species found in the Harapan Bangsa Lhong Raya stadium as an effort to meet the needs of green open spaces in public facilities. The technique used is exploratory and roaming with purposive sampling. The results showed that the number of Spermatophyta plant species totaled 198 species, with the highest distribution from the casuarinaceae family 58 species, followed by anacardiaceae 25 species, lamiaceae 15 species, arecaceae 15 species, sapotaceae 15 species, arecaceae 13 species and rubiaceae 12 species, while the rest represented the Fabaceae, Myrtaceae, Nygtaginaceae, Oxalidaceae, Poaceae, Meliaceae, Arecaceae, and Caricaceae families. So it can be concluded that the Spermatophyta plants in the Lhong Raya stadium area have fulfilled the Green Open Space (RTH) requirements as a public facility. More research on the efficiency of green open space on oxygen supply in public environments is hoped for.Keywords: Inventory, Spermatophyta, Green Open Space (RTH)
