Abstract

Cocoa production in Sidomulyo Village is reduced due to various factors including pest and disease attacks such as CPB and fruit rot, old plants, lack of maintenance and land use change with plants that are easier to maintain. The results of the SWOT analysis show that the potential and opportunities for increasing cocoa production in Sidomulyo Village are still very large. The production can be increased by doing intensification, that is improving the cultivation system, and also extensification, that is the expansion of the planting area. Intensification provides a great opportunity to increase productivity and crop production. The low production is due to the lack of farmer’s knowlegde about innovation in cultivatoon tech. The expansion of the area is still constrained by the polyculture system or intercropping between cocoa and other crops which are a source of secondary income. Through good application to innovation in cultivation and processing and the use of potential areas for expanding cocoa growing areas, it can be ensured that the productivity and production of cocoa in Sidomulyo Village can increase sharply. Increased cocoa production will increase farmer’s income and walfare, moreover it will also affect the regional economy. The purpose of this project is to analyze potential and development opportunity of cocoa in Sidomulyo village Lebakbarang district Pekalongan regency. Keywords: opportunity, potency of cocoa, productivity

The purpose of the composting program is to introduce and make simple compost to support sustainable agriculture by utilizing agricultural waste. The program will be held on July 17 until August 9, 2019 in Karanggatak Village, Boyolali Regency. Data collection during the program was carried out by conducting direct observations through community observation and interviews in the utilization of agricultural waste in the form of cow dung, water hyacinth, hay, leaf litter and grass as compost material. Utilizing compost with a tumbler as a composting tool can be widely used in every household to be used in making organic compost. Composted material is easily obtained waste. Abstract

Waste is used material or leftovers from an activity or production process whose function has changed from the original. Livestock waste directly has a negative impact on residents in the Ngudi Rejeki School for Smallholder Community area. The Ngudi Rejeki SPR is located in Ngadiluwih Village, Kediri Regency. The main commodity produced from the Ngudi Rejeki SPR is a beef cattle with a maintenance period of around 4-6 months. The method used in this study is through direct interviews with informants and, joint discussions, and verification of data with the literature. There are various problems that arise, especially the pungent odor resulting from the waste produced so that it becomes a complaint for local residents. Some breeders have utilized waste such as biogas and fish feed, but the amount is very small. Therefore, breeders' awareness is needed to process the waste produced so that it is not wasted but it can also be used to get income and reduce pollution that occurs. Based on research conducted, it is found that about 1.8 tons of waste is produced every day from beef cattle farmers in the Ngudi Rejeki SPR, but it has not been maximally utilized. Some examples of waste utilization that can be done include making organic fertilizer, biogas, and fish feed. This Research aims to analyze the waste potention from the fattening cattle farm that can used in SPR Ngudi Rejeki. Keywords: School for Smallholder Community, Waste, Biogas, Fertilizer, Fish Feed

Abstract

The coastal area is the border area between land and sea. Coastal areas have an important role in maintaining that seawater does not enter the mainland. Poor coastal conditions will disturb the stability of the environment around the coast. Natural disasters such as tidal floods are the focus of attention for coastal communities, especially in Cirebon District. The purpose of this community service program is to reduce the risk of tidal flooding through disaster mitigation efforts. The dedication was carried out in July 2019 with the method of socialization and brainstorming. Socialization and brainstorming were attended by villagers. The results show that the community is very enthusiastic about this program, this is evidenced by the formation of working groups (LWGs) who are fully responsible for all pre-disaster activities, during disasters and after disasters. The program that has been carried out by LWG is participating in socialization related to DESTANA and making disaster mitigation maps and following coastal cleanup activities.
