Abstract

Delivering information in agricultural extension requires a special strategy by considering various elements in agricultural extension. One of the communication strategies used by agricultural instructors in this digital era is by utilizing social media, where instructors convey their communication material through various media, both traditional and modern. The aim of this research is to describe the perceptions of instructors in the use of digital technology in delivering extension services. The research used a survey method with a sampling technique using simplified random sampling consisting of 60 extension workers. Data analysis to measure instructors' perceptions of instructors' communication strategies in using digital media was carried out by calculating scores. The results of the research show that the communication strategies used by extension workers in delivering education to farmers can be applied so that farmers can carry out internal communication activities using digital media more efficiently and effectively in conveying recommended recommendations in farming. Extension workers have a positive perception of communication strategies in the use of information which is demonstrated through communication techniques, communication channels, communication messages and use of the internet. The instructor's perception is in the medium criteria where the instructor is quite good in carrying out his communication activities.

Abstract

The coconut plant (Cocos nucifera L.) is a strategic commodity that has an important role in the social, cultural and economic aspects of society. Kulon Progo Regency has a coconut plantation area of ​​16,104 ha, with productivity reaching 26,152 tons. Meanwhile, Panjatan District contributed 3,856 tons of coconut production with a coconut plantation area of ​​2,065 ha (BPS Kulon Progo Regency, 2021). The large area and high productivity of coconut in Panjantan District have great potential in developing the coconut sugar agro-industry. Apart from that, coconut sugar business actors in Kulon Progo Regency have received the European standard CSQA (Certified Software Quality Analyst) geographical indication certificate from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights. Coconut sugar has an important role in meeting local sugar needs, especially for people who still rely on natural sugar as a source of sugar. Coconut sugar also has high economic value, is in demand in local and international markets. So, this research wants to see the feasibility of the brown sugar business in Panjatan. The location determination technique was carried out purposively, while sampling was carried out using simple random sampling. Data was collected for one week. The results of the analysis show that the feasibility of the coconut sugar business in Panjatan is worth pursuing, because the results of the R/C value analysis are more than 1, namely 1.02. Capital productivity of 1.93% is greater than the bank savings interest rate of 0.175%. Labor productivity of Rp. 112,729,- exceeds the daily wage in Luweng Lor Village, namely Rp. 40,000,-. The BEP price is Rp. 13,106,- which is smaller than the average price for the coconut sugar household industry in Luweng Lor Village, which is Rp. 13,313,-. Meanwhile, the production BEP of 42 kg is smaller than the average production amount for coconut sugar craftsmen, namely 43 kg. To increase the coconut sugar business by using a larger tool for boiling sap, so that productivity will increase.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the most important commodities that have an important role in economic growth, especially in supporting the increase of non-oil exports in Indonesia and as a foreign exchange earner. The purpose of this article is to analyze competitiveness of Indonesian coffee in international market in the last 3 decades or during period 1989–2019. Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Product Dynamic (EPD), X-Model Potential Export Product and Diamond Porter’s is used to analysis competitiveness. The results of the analysis of competitiveness using the RCA method show that not all HS codes for Indonesian coffee and competing countries have a comparative advantage, Indonesian coffee has strong competitiveness for HS code 090111 but has no strong competitive power for other HS codes. The results of the EPD method show that for all HS codes Indonesian coffee and competing countries have a rising star position or have positive appeal and increased market share. The results of the X-Model Potential Export Product method show that Indonesia and competing countries have optimistic coffee market developments for HS code 090111 and have potential market developments for HS codes 090112, 090121, 090122, and 090190. From the results of Porter Diamond's analysis, the results obtained that the State of Indonesia has advantages in terms of condition factors, namely natural resources and has weaknesses in science and technology, human resources and capital resources.

Abstract

Development is a series of processes of change towards a better situation in an effort to improve welfare through increasing people's standard of living as measured by increasing the rate of economic growth. Economic development is able to increase the per capita income of the population in the long term if it can be carried out well and sustainably. This is because the implementation of economic development is able to encourage economic growth and improve income distribution for society. This research aims to analyze how the role of the agricultural sector, which is a driver of the economy in various regions, contributes to determining regional income disparities in Kebumen Regency. Data analysis uses the Williamson Index CVw method which is an indirect approach used to measure the magnitude of regional income inequality. The results of this research show that the economic growth and contribution of the agricultural sector to regional income in Kebumen Regency tends to be positive, where both have quite large values ​​and will increase in 2022. Income inequality between regions in Kebumen Regency has increased between 2020 and 2022. Inequality occurs between Income from the agricultural sector is lower compared to without involving the agricultural sector. The average value of the Williamson index shows 18.86 percent of the disparity when including the agricultural sector and 18.89 percent of the disparity when not including income from the agricultural sector. There is a difference of 0.03 percent, which is the magnitude of the influence of the agricultural sector in reducing the level of regional disparities in Kebumen Regency.

Abstract

The Business Model Canvas (BMC) helps companies create their business models based on nine blocks of needs identification. BMC is a tool that provides a clear view of what a company needs to achieve and focuses on the strategic elements that are most important and will have the greatest impact on the business. In this research, we took a case study at PT. ABC to map the BMC of existing business processes in the company. In this research, we will focus on the elements in the blocks at PT. ABC will be designed in this research. Then compared between the nine blocks in BMC and researchers focused on developments that could be carried out in business development. The research results show that the mapping on BMC is expected by PT. ABC implements online ordering to expand the Company's expansion and also expand market share segmentation by adding supermarkets and retail stores as product distributors.

Abstract

A low level of financial literacy can encourage consumptive behavior, so education regarding financial literacy is needed to suppress this consumptive behavior. The aim of the research is to find out the influence of financial literacy on the consumption patterns of corn farmers in Sumenep Regency. The method used is quantitative with multiple linear regression analysis tools. The research was conducted with a sample of 80 farmers in Sumenep Regency. Data collection was carried out directly with a questionnaire so that the data used was primary data. The research results show that financial literacy has an influence on the consumption patterns of corn farmers, but there needs to be efforts to increase financial literacy so that farmers understand better managing their finances so that farmers' consumption patterns become better. This research has implications for improving farmers' welfare in managing finances and good consumption patterns. Apart from being useful for farmers, this research is also useful for students as a reference in carrying out assignments and researchers who want to carry out related research.
